  • In this video, I cover basic functions for obtaining logistic and probit regression output using the R program. Additionally, I cover several packages that may be useful for obtaining results useful results (including classification tables, standardized estimates, and pseudo-R-square values). A copy of the Powerpoint I use in the presentation can be downloaded here: drive.google.com/open?id=1jCL...
A copy of the dataset (.csv format) used can be downloaded here: drive.google.com/open?id=1E6Z...

Thanks for putting this up, I think it's more helpful to a larger number of people than the number of comments would indicate---so please know there are people out here who appreciate the effort you made. I think it's ok you "copy paste" because it does get "bulky" and time consuming for you 9the video maker) if you type it. Just make sure you include the part where you "break down" the sections with your black marker, because that part of the video is very very helpful, and without it much of the presentation becomes a mystery. You did a good job Mr. Crowson and I for one appreciate it.

Hi Rubin, thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. I appreciate it very much! I've actually been working on updating my presentations so they aren't quite as clunky. I haven't reworked this one yet, but I do have new videos up on logistic and probit regression using SPSS (with a lot more information) that you might find useful. The following document contains links to these videos: drive.google.com/file/d/1cu0w3X93MXpuzesB8WSB0n5BdXeL92K0/view . Thanks again for your comments! Very helpful!

    Hi Mr Mike Crowson,
Thank you for this great video which is very helpfull.
I use the Logit & Probit regression in Dose-Response studies and i need some info:
    1. Is it possible to do the same work with grouped data (Data structure as: Dose, Tested, Killed)?
    2. How can i get the LD50 (or LD90) value? The dose whch kill 50% (90%) of tested individuals? of cource need lower and upper value for 95% CI.
    Thanks again,
    Abdelkader
