Renunciation doesn't mean jumping from within the Three Realms to outside of the Three Realms. 孙悟空也跳不出去，一个筋斗十万八千里还在五指山里面。这个五指山就是指五蕴山，就是五蕴。一个筋斗十万八千里，还在这个五蕴里面，飞得再快也出不去。 Even the Monkey King cannot jump out of the Three Realms. Even if he flies a hundred thousand miles with a somersault, he is still in the Five-Finger Mountain, which refers to the Five Aggregates. Although he can fly a hundred thousand miles with a somersault, he is still within the Five Aggregates. No matter how fast he flies, he cannot leave the Three Realms. 事实上，出离环境的目的，正是为了出离对环境的贪著，因为由环境会引发凡夫心，只有破除我执，才能够摆脱凡夫心，契入空性，成就解脱。 In fact, the purpose of renouncing the external environment is actually to renounce attachment to the environment. This is because the environment can trigger our samsaric minds. Only by eliminating the attachment to 'self' can we be free from samsaric minds, realize the nature of emptiness, and attain liberation. 我们经常讲出离心，出离心就是超越轮回的决心，如果换一个角度理解出离心，就是凡夫心一直在控制着我们，凡夫心有很多种，三界都有，有欲界的凡夫心、色界的凡夫心、还有无色界的，都是凡夫心，对一切凡夫心都要下定决心要摆脱它们，断除它们，这就是真正的出离心。 We often talk about renunciation, which is the determination to transcend the cycle of samsara. The merits of generating Bodhicitta are inconceivable, which is essentially because it is boundless. If your aspiration is limited, then no matter how much work you do for the benefit of sentient beings, your achievements will be limited. 我们知道，以任何有限的数字乘以无穷大的时候，结果必然是无穷大。同样，以无限之心修持任何善行，虽然善行是有限的，但是果报乃是无限。 We know that when any finite number is multiplied by infinity, the result is always infinity. Similarly, if we engage in any virtuous actions with an infinite aspiration, although the virtuous actions are limited, the results will be infinite. 这个比喻很好，发心无限，这就是菩提心的殊胜啊！ This analogy is great. Being boundless is the greatness of Bodhicitta! 菩提心如此殊胜，是因为无限，任何其他的发心都是有限的，都没有这么殊胜。所以，发了菩提心以后，做任何事情果报都是无限。 Bodhicitta is so great because it is boundless. Any other aspirations are limited, so they are not so great. Therefore, after generating Bodhicitta, the results of doing any actions will be infinite. 2、菩提心是入大乘之门 2. Bodhicitta is the Gateway to Mahayana 空性慧乃成佛之共因，而菩提心则为成佛之不共因。 The wisdom of emptiness is the common cause for attaining Buddhahood, while Bodhicitta is the uncommon cause. 所谓的共因者，即三乘圣者皆依空性慧而成就，为三乘修行之母； The wisdom of emptiness is called the "common cause" because practitioners of the Three Vehicles all rely on it to attain enlightenment; it is the 'mother' of the practice of the Three Vehicles. 所谓的不共因，是因为三乘之中唯有佛道的修行中，才必须具备菩提心。换言之，发起菩提心之后，才是真正的佛子，才是合格的大乘行者。 Bodhicitta is called the "uncommon cause" because among the Three Vehicles, only the practice of the Buddha Vehicle requires Bodhicitta.
