Tsunami Trail Deer Valley | first 2 runs on a big flow trail in Utah

- Tsunami Trail at Deer Valley Resort in Utah is a jump line / flow trail created by Gravity Logic (the same company who developed some of Whistler's great trails and Levitate / Vertigo / Zooropa in Draper).
This trail descends 900 vertical feet over 2 miles and is covered with table tops with big lips and soft landings, great berms and step downs and will give an average rider (like me) some serious wow factor sprinkled with a bit of fear. This trail is amazing (except for the brake bumps) and I really wish I could ride this every day.
This is the first of the RideLabs at Deer Valley series. Thanks for watching!

Deer valley is definitely a place I want to ride. Haven’t rode here yet. So many places to ride. Deer Valley looks so fucking sick.
It's amazing. Closes this month though. So get it while you can!
Great video quality. Clearing Tsunami jumps with torn ACL, amazing.
Thanks, not really amazing, it just really hurts when I case the dang step downs :-) Thanks for watching!
Love tsunami such a fun trail
I know! I didn't even ride it this summer.... Lame
Can't wait to try this out at our new Deer Valley Outerbike this June 19-21, 2020!
Oh, yea, super fun trail. I didn't realize that you guys were putting one on there. Do I get in free LOL
Loved the video! You were straight sending it. Also like the follow cam through the tech. Keep up the great work. Keep shredding.
Thanks so much!
Flying high Eric!! Nice! I knuckle every damn one of those it feels like when I ride. 🤷♂️
Thanks Matt!
Top riding man! LAunch In it brah!
Thanks!
Really nice! Send Gravity Logic to Oregon! Great video! Cheers!
Thanks! Yea, they do good work.
Good video. I have to hit up Deer Valley soon. We met in the Fox n Rox shuttle today - good to meet you!
Great to meet you too Taylor. Hope you had a great ride today!
You too. I had a great ride. Hardly any bikers or hikers. Pipeline was mostly in the shade. Saturday evening is a great time to hit the Crest I discovered. Hope to see you around and keep the videos coming!
Yea, it was nice to have so few people out there. For sure hope to see you out there again man. Thanks for the support on the videos!
Tom still rides dirt! Dang, that looks fun. I'm going to turn my kids into groms and take them to DV this next week.
Nice!!
Btw, we definitely need to get more of Tom on the channel. He throws down.
Yes! So good! Sad I didn't make it. Way to throw some style into those jumps on the only the 2nd run! I've hit it 3 times and still just dead sailor it, lol. Clearing those jumps feels so good though! That step down is the craziest one IMO. The last time I did it I pedaled like crazy into it to clear it. Felt awesome! Did you ever get your BB serviced? Bike still seems pretty creaky. Can't hear it over that awesome Tarin hub buzz 😂😎 wheels still feeling good?
Thanks, missed you out there man. That step down is hard gotta pedal way more. The creaking is my bars. I need to take them off and put some grease on there.
You were catching some serious air there! That looked really fun! Hope your knee will be better. Do you need surgery on it?
I've done one trail out there last year. Really wanted to try more trails. Unfortunately, recent events have made it that so I probably won't be able to afford going there. 😕
Thanks, yes, it was so fun, but a little intimidating on that first run haha. Yea, I'll need surgery at some point. It really depends on how often it pops out of place. The more that happens, the more I damage things and can incur worse and worse Arthritis when I'm older (and the more it hurts). The problem is that it takes 9 months to heal from the surgery during which time MTB will be pretty much off limits :-( Hope you can get out there, at least pedal up, $48 is a bit for a day of MTB, but totally worth it IMO, however I would like to pedal myself up there sometime too.
RideLabs Sorry to hear that. Have to figure out what part of the year then. You snowboard, too. I don't have any soft tissue in a number of joints, so I understand what you're talking about. Hope it gets all fixed, so you don't do anything permanent.
I’ve always wanted to try this trail, but last year I saw a guy just get reamed and was hauled out on a stretcher with a neck stabilizer. And I’ve been apprehensive ever since
Yea, you definitely get some scary air, and the brake bumps everywhere seems to loosen everything... Could lead to a disaster. Hope the guy turned out ok.
Those cases were painful for me to watch knowing your ACL was acting up at the time.
That's nice of you to notice. Thanks. Yes, the meniscus wasn't being protected at all since the acl was torn. Glad that's all fixed.
