What's shocking to me about this ending is how little many people got it!! it was the ending I got on my first and only run through the game and I was staggered how rare it was. For me, I couldn't bring myself to take away Charlotte's anger because it wasn't healthy. She's not a bad person and is right to feel anger. It doesn't make her a bad person. As for Eleanor, It isn't Alex's secret to blab. Riley has a wonderful opportunity ahead of her and Eleanor WANTS it for her. Eleanor feels a bit sad, yeah, but it wouldn't be right to take away Riley from her dreams. I'm confident that these were the two critical choices that helped me get the ending
You're right! They were critical choices for each of those characters. I think Eleanor was the most complicated since you had to get her and Riley all sorted out. Don't you just love moral dilemmas for the lot of them?? GG on getting that ending on your first try. I messed up on Pike on my first run because I didn't want Alex freaking out during the climax, but oof.
Even if you destroy the Foosball Trophy, Steph is always ready to support Alex. God, I love her so much. 2:52 Eleanor's hand gestures though I love my grandma so much XD My favourite cop, Deputy Pike. 3:07 He winked at Alex and it's really wholesome. And his argument with Diane is hilarious, too. Am I the only one who thinks Jed and Ryan look like Tywin and Jaime? 'My own goddamn son' part is really reminiscent of Tywin saying 'you're my son'.
You can break the foosball trophy? Eleanor is quite amusing lol Pike really did pull through here Didn't know who Tywin and Jaime were but I have googled it and yes they do look alike!
Yeah, Alex will break the Foosball Trophy if she takes Charlotte's anger. In my first gameplay, I thought Charlotte was gonna commit suicide or harm Ethan out of intense anger. So I took her anger away from her. It's actually a poor choice I've made. It will significantly backfire in later episodes. Her anger affects Alex and she will shatter the Foosball Trophy which will lead to crying Steph storming out of the apartment. (If you didn't take the anger away, Steph and Ryan will stay in the apartment and will help Alex with finding the evidence.) Later on, Charlotte will not side with Alex in Council vote. Like a chain reaction, Ryan will not also side with Alex if Charlotte doesn't believe her. It will in turn trigger Steph and her friendship with Ryan will be strained. Now I've replayed everything perfectly cuz I love the characters and story so much 🥰
@@stardust98921 Yeah the playthrough this clip is from was Charlotte keeping her anger and I totally understand the concern about how strong her emotions were cause it took me a hot minute to figure out which one I wanted to do. I knew about Steph storming out of the apartment but I wasn't sure which prompts or paths would result in that or if it was just one or multiple or what would even happen. If one person doesn't side with Alex, Ryan won't. Home boy really didn't want to go against his father I have also figured out the best paths to me via hyperfixation on the game for a few weeks lol
@@Saljace i talked to pretty much everyone when I had the chance, I just made the opposite choices to get them to like me. The only thing I missed was the duckie dance
Everytime I see Charlotte come up with that whole settlement thing, there's a legal issue there. Since Charlotte was not a wife, but a girlfriend and she isn't next of kin it shouldn't have gone to her, that'd be Alex, she should have actually gotten the settlement documents and the choice to settle should have been yours. I think that was an oversight in their story nobody caught, to be fair I didn't catch it until later on and I thought about it myself.
That does make sense legally and I hadn't thought about that either. The only thing that I can think of is that Gabe changed it while he was alive since Alex was pretty much off the grid and there was a kid to take care of, but even then it seems quite out of character seeing how important Alex was to him what with all the constant searching.
She didn’t side with you because she couldn’t feel angry about Jed attempting to kill you no matter how hard she could’ve tried due to you taking her anger away
Oh man, I think at the very least you need to have all of the townspeople side with you. I really don't know what little things you have to do because my playthroughs were extremely thorough. I do know you don't have to romance him although it might give you an extra point of wiggle room (I have tried but with each playthrough, I get distracted with Steph). The townspeoples' final verdict can web out from forced story scenes or optional side conversations.
@@Saljace from what I saw from another video you need Charlotte, pike, and duckie or Eleanor to at least believe you. Charlotte don't take her anger, pike take his fear away, and you gotta help duckie or Eleanor beforehand. I think someone put videos on Eleanor, for duckie you gotta help him during the spring festival, he's at the bar in the back I think
@@ghostslayer1981 Yeah that sounds about right. On my first playthrough, I didn't take Pike's fear and Ryan nope'd me. Eleanor's arc (if you would call it that) might have two routes, but I haven't experimented with that because Riley never found out about her illness on my playthroughs and I sent her off to college and everything was good. I don't know if her finding out (probably from the major choice about forgetting) closes it off immediately. Duckie is in the bar during the spring festival and yeah you've just gotta talk to him and it'll push you through to the correct path. You are spot on for Charlotte and Pike and Steph is in your corner nomatter what I think.
Did you outright encourage her to sign the contract? I am not completely sure if I remember what I did, but I think I was either indifferent or skipped the scene and she ended up signing but ignoring the contract.
Okay, so I just checked my choices and it appears that I did have Charlotte sign when I visited. I know that taking her anger for sure locks you out of her siding with you. I also am pretty sure I was nice to Ethan at every chance I could although I did snitch about the caves at the beginning of the game so that might have an effect.
@@Saljace oh yes exactly I always snitch 😂😂😂 that explains why I she can't help me tank you so much for taking time to check your choices and CMT it really appreciate it
Of course! I think doing whatever you can for the safety (snitching at the beginning maybe?) and happiness (probably every optional interaction after that) of her family will get her to go against her contract. I haven't gone back through and experimented with it but I might someday I always get a bit confused with Charlotte cause when I look back on my choices, they are all greyed out when it comes to if and how she sided with us as the council
So im guessing this is the ending you get if you take the negative feelings from people when you have the chance. I just couldn't do that. People grow emotionally/mentally if they learn to overcome such negative stuff, but if you just take them away, they will never learn from it and move on.
My biggest flex is that this was my very first ending

For real same here lol

No one is its own achievement tbh
@Saljace I was wondering why that scene felt so empty till I realized at the end I got a situation only 5% of other people got
Can't believe I didn't make a video for that side tbh but geez that's a crazy number. did you just sprint through the game and never talk to anyone?

i love duckie and eleanor

Duckie best character. He showing that he was still a good friend Jed, but willing to hear Alex out because he is not biased

Ryans voice acting in the end is giving me chills!!! So good
He really did do a good job showing how his entire image of his father was crumbling around him

The only person you are supposed to take emotions from is pike because his fear is what's holding him back and the reason he isn't learning.

I'm pretty sure I didn't skip anything so whatever it was might've not been written into this run
