  • List of things:
    Saracino cream sugar paste {obtained by mixing white and brown sugarpaste}
    Saracino Brown sugar paste
    Saracino Black sugar paste
    Saracino White sugar paste
    Tools:
    Rolling pin
    Cutting wheel
    Work mat
    Cornstarch
    Glue
    Cocktail sticks
    Dresden tool
    Sharp knife
    Extruder {optional}
    Step 1: Mix a tiny amount of brown food colour in saracino modelling white paste and blend it to make a lovely cream colour, then roll two balls of the paste about 3 inches wide and form an oval shape, similarly make the second oval ball but a little smaller than the 1st one so roughly 2.5 inches wide.
    Step 2: Now for the head, again make 2 oval shaped balls one smaller and the other bigger, this time they need to be 1” and other a little bigger than an inch.
    Step 3: Place the respective body and head together and check if you are happy with the sizes and proportions
    Step 4: Press both sides of the head with your thumb to make indents for the eyes
    Step 5: Now with the sharp end of the dresden tool mark the mouth
    Step 6: Put 2 tiny black eyeballs either sides
    Step 7: Place 2 small cream discs over the black eyeballs as show in the photo
    Step 8: Blend it with the head using a dresden tool
    Step 9: Roll a thin strip in cream sugarpaste, if you are not comfortable rolling it with your hand use an extruder
    Step 10: Cut this strip into small parts, each an inch long
    Step 11: Taper these smaller strips on either sides
    Step 12: Swirl the strip like in the picture
    Step 13: Make all the swirls
    Step 14: Start gluing these swirls on the oval ball {body}
    Step 15: Glue them close to each other as shown in the picture and cover the entire body with swirls
    Step 16: Glue the head on top of the body
    Step 17: Similarly glue the female head on the body, you could use a cocktail stick if you wish
    Step 18: Now make a bigger swirl for the tail
    Step 19: Glue it on the back end of the body
    Step 20: For the ears make a small droplet in the cream sugarpaste and press the centre with the dresden tool
    Step 21: Now place the ears over the head and blend it well as shown
    Step 22: Roll a strip of cream sugarpaste and a thinner brown strip and start rolling them together
    Step 23: Fold the strip and keep rolling, do it a few times to get the stripy pattern in it
    Step 24: Now cut a small amount of the patterned strip and swirl to make the horns
    Step 25: Glue the horns above the ears on the male figurine
    Step 26: For the legs roll a thick strip of light brown and cut 4 parts for each sheep, smooth one end of the leg that is going on the bottom and mark it with the pointy end of the dresden tool
    Step 27: Make sure all the legs are equal length, they should be an inch tall
    Step 28: Place the body on top of the legs, you could use cocktail sticks if required
    Step 29: Do the same thing for the other figurine but make the legs a little bigger so that they are in proportion to the male body, roughly 1.2 inches long and place the body over the legs and your sheep couple is ready
    Step 30: Place the figurines beside each other or the way you would like to display them.
    Tips: 1:You could use a small piece of net to make a veil over the female head and a bow tie for the male if you wish to use these figures as a wedding cake topper.
    2: Try using an extruder to roll thiner strips of sugarpaste, will save time and roll evenly
    Kind regards,

    Hello! Thanks for the beautiful cake topper idea! It is incredibly cute! Any chance you can help with analogies ? Maybe grams of fondant used for each part of the body?
