I'm not the best at giving tips (because I fake claim like a psycho as both Town & Evil, lol), but I'll try my best. 1. Always be aware of the rolelist, and pay attention to claims, to see where you could temporarily fit, claim wise, within the limited pool of claim space. If there are like 3 TI slots, you could claim TI. Of course, (especially in Ranked) if you don't have information to share, you're likely gonna die. 2. DO NOT BE TOO PASSIVE! Being way too passive is a tell tale sign that you're likely a nervous evil, not wanting to say the wrong thing, and not wanting to hunt for information to find some evils. (Being mostly quiet doesn't mean "too passive" by default, but if there's a time to push someone out, and the votes are being split, and you're not pushing for the likely evil to be voted out, THEN, it's being passive). 3. Like Town, collect information. You'll need that to figure out who you should and shouldn't target, and who is more likely to be specific roles you really really really wanna get out soon. 4. Sometimes play dumb. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but acting like you forgot that someone was cleared, sometimes makes you seem like a forgetful Townie. Unfortunately, it also opens you up to the possible downside of Town wanting you to claim, Town focusing their sights on you, and sometimes, Town thinking you're an evil trying to push out a confirmed Townie, out of desperation. 5. Don't always give up on your teammates when they're found. If a non confirmed Townie's pushing them, especially at a crucial moment in the game, make up whatever BS you can to try to have the accuser voted out instead. It might not always work. (And your teammate best have a fake claim ready). 6. Use your will & private notes. Hope these tips were at least a bit helpful.
