- I try to explain how I use my oracle a little more. Hopefully it helps people better understand it.

Very simple and cool design!
Thank you! Cheers!
Well met, Matt. Michael here. Thank you for sharing this brilliance. I am excited for my next solo session to use this simple, elegant oracle.
I'm going to use this. Simple and quick.
The best minimalistic solo oracle I've found so far. Easily applicable to any game and can be combined with any other materials, tables, cards...
I am really happy with, glad others are finding it useful too.
This is absurdly intuitive and easy to use. The slider die not only acts like an advantage die but can provide wildly diverse interpretation that I might see two totally different ways on two different days. Very cool.
Thank you! I have tried so many other oracles I felt lost, like something was wrong, doing something wrong. Then I came up with this and it just clicked. Glad you like it!
Your oracle is a great tool, not just for Solo, but also group play.
Like you explained in your previous video on the oracle, you have taken the old way of "did you hear something" or "did you spot the hidden door", and took it to a new and even more useful level.
The slider die is a great idea, and for whatever reason, I feel there is so much more you can do with it, or even expand upon the oracle idea itself. The trick sould be, not to over complicate things...
Good video, Matt 🤘
Brilliant! Great system and super elegant...
I have been using it for a while now and I love how flexible the system is and how it seamlessly adds a layer of depth…all with a single roll.
Thanks Matt, that was really helpful. It's a great on the fly oracle that doesn't break too much immersion by having to look at any charts.
Glad it was helpful! Yes, you hit the nail on the head there. By not having to look away at charts, it allows for a much faster and immersive game for me.
Thank you for making this video. I was a bit confused on how to use the slider dice in the other one you uploaded.
nice job to add magnitude and variation to results. Lots of great ideas can come from this, thanks
Glad you liked it!
I use your oracle in my games sometimes.😊
Matt thank you very much! Now I totally grasp the idea of your Oracle:) it turned out that I really didn't get it from the first video, maybe I just stupid 😅
Nah, I probably just needed to explain it better. I have had lots of questions so clearly it required more explanation. Glad it was helpful!
Homie, where did you get these dice from? I like them!
Look up “monomakes” on Etsy, wonderful dice!
So, just to make sure I understand this correctly, you're using your slider die to give either yes or no an advantage roll?
Essentially yes. The slider die makes a yes or no (whichever side it slides to) more likely to win the die roll.
What do you normally do when you get two of the same (or three of the same with the slider die)? Uncertain?
Yes, I will typically call it an ambiguous result. I will very quickly decide if I’m going to roll again or just assume that it is an ambiguous result and move on.
@@mattjackson i mean, if you want a straight 50-50 answer with no ambiguity you can roll one d6 instead - evens yes odds no.
This Oracle is best when complex answers are required.
Where do you get your dice from sir?
These dice are special ordered from a maker called Monomakes on Etsy. I originally ordered a red set with extra d6s, but then went back and ordered a matching style for the oracle dice. They are fantastic!
What about ties?
Make a quick decision based on the situation. I do not view the oracle in an absolutist way.
Either declare the result “ambiguous” (meaning fate care not for either way), or roll again. You will see me use this across many of the gaming sessions.
