Yeah at OUR (UK) expense. I miss the good ol' days when our coach would put KENTUCKY FIRST and represent KENTUCKY and help us win championships by having guys who usually would stay 3-4 years.
Mine will be a little different. I think most would say Davis because he was the best. And he’s up there. But for whatever reason I enjoyed watching a few others more. 1a Andrew Harrison 1b Aaron Harrison 3 Demarcus Cousins 4 Darius Miller 5 Malik Monk 6 John Wall 7 Patrick Patterson 8 Anthony Davis 9 Tyler Ulis 10 Bam Adebayo 11 PJ Washington 12 Nick Richards 13 Doron Lamb 14 DeAaron Fox 15 Dom Hawkins I’m definitely more partial to kids that are here longer than 1 year. The twins are my favorites because I truly believe they fell in love with UK basketball from the first time they visited. I hope they get into coaching sooner rather than later and make their way back. I think they’ll both make excellent coaches some day if they choose
@@bobanderson542 I can’t disagree with that. Monk was a lot of fun. He was, IMO, the most talented shooting guard we’ve had during my lifetime. I was born in ‘81. AD is probably the best player to ever wear a UK Jersey.
@@danielward8645 Davis got us a championship. Oscar is dominant. But my favorite of all time(only because he has wore the Kentucky jersey more than anyone else in the history of Kentucky basketball) plus he helped win a championship and that's Darius Miller. so many of our Cats leave too early and dont do well in the NBA. I wish Coach would consider that when he encourages them to go ... most would do well to stay at least another year.
What are you talking about ? Most of them play really really well in the NBA. Kentucky has by far the most great players in the NBA over any other college team putting players in the NBA.
Why the Knicks need a good young small forward. For the future they have these young players. PG Immanuel Quickley , SG RJ Barrett , SF Should be Kevin Knox , PF Julius Randle , C Nerlens Noel or Mitchell Robinson.
I never once called for Cal to be fired, and I am proud to stand by that statement. He has earned that lifetime contract and will leave BBN when he is done hearing from the local yokels, and not a day sooner.
Meh it’s hard to call back end first rounders flops though. Even some lotto picks. Guys like Daniel orton, Archie Goodwin, marquis teague didn’t have a ton of expectations on them. The only real nba flops from Kentucky have been MKG, Terrence Jones, and James Young. And Jones played quite well when he got minutes. But rumors are he can’t stick on a roster because of attitude issues.
@@danielward8645 mkg just never had a jump shot, he was an unbelievable defensive presence for the cats and he is still one of my favorite players. Orton could've been amazing if he had stayed and developed his game. I understand why they leave but sometimes it's a bad choice.
@@pressmaster1255 hes one of my favorites too. And I agree. Unfortunately that jumper was broken beyond repair. His best attributes were his motor and b-ball iq. And you can stand out for those things in college but not in the nba where everyone plays hard because their livelihood is at stake and they all know the game in and out. And while a great defender in college he was only above average in the league. Teams will keep guys for defense alone but only if they’re great. He made a ton of money though. I think Charlotte’s second contract with him was for 52 million! So yeah he should be set for life tbh.
41 now and counting. And only 1 ncaa title to show for it. Cal is the most overrated coach in the country. Definitely the most overpaid. Dude got 1 million per win this season
Just because u have nba players on your roster doesn’t guarantee ncaa titles. You need a team of good players. It’s hard to win titles every year. That’s why different teams win it every year.
@@Antbeast23 i agrée with you. but cal puts the roster together. he needs to focus more on getting great college prospects than nba prospects. because as we’ve often seen during his time here, they’re not always the same. Last years team had more nba talent than this years but this years team would beat last years by 30. Give me Kellen Grady and Oscar Tshiebwe over BJ Boston and Isiah Jackson all day every day. But that’s the issue with Cal. He cares more about having the most guys in the league than he does winning the most games.
We don't need one-and-dones, we need guys who will stay with us 3-4 years as experience is by far the most crucial factor in NCAA tournament success. And who cares how many one-and-dones Cal gets into the NBA? That won't help us any and that's NOT his job!!
I'm EXTREMELY unhappy and have been for the past several years that Cal is more concerned about getting guys in the NBA after one year rather than putting Kentucky First and helping us win championships, which the top ingredient by far is EXPERIENCE (guys who've been with us 3-4 years) and making free throws a close second. I really miss how UK basketball was in the 20th century-2000s when players usually stayed 3-4 years and could truly become icons in UK lore.
Memories something nobody can't take away from coach cal, and his players , ,God bless 🙏💯☝️

Kentucky for EVER
Kentucky's basketball fans facts bbn for life
Though it is true it is hard right now
The only cards we like are the playing cards🔵⚪️
So much quality too, Wall, Cousins, Davis, Randle, Booker, Murray, KAT, DeMarcus Cousins, Bam, DeAaron Fox
When Adam Silver called Kevin Knox’s name he sounded surprised
yeah because he deserves better
After the 2021 draft you need to make an updated one💪
And he’s there for each one legend!
38 NBA draft picks from 1 school in what a 10 year stretch 👏
& 17 of them top 10

Why did they switch to Adam Silver mid-draft during multiple years of the draft?😂😂😂
