Literally my first comment on UA-cam, dedicated to you, as a DM. And to your players, for their amazing RP. Started listening to hear Jeff G. play d&d. But now, I'm FAR too captivated. My whole gaming group has fallen in love with this story, even the vicious realism. Love the sanity mechanic and injuries. Gonna incorporate them into my games. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Keep rolling those Dark Dice.
It seems like it's all in good fun and meant to encapsulate the horror genre. The major point of a horror game is to throw harrowing things at the characters and damage them physically and mentally which kind of falls flat if they succeed at everything
@@jthompson7024 I mean, i get that, but when is this non-stop, unrelenting barrage of mean, focused torment, without giving the charcters any respite, it gets kinda draining... But thats probably just my opinion and i understand thats a part of this genre.
@@BassBumbass It likely feels a lot more non-stop in this format because things are edited down. Things are probably more spaced out in actual sessions with a lot of tension-breaking humor in between as well that gets cut out to preserve the atmosphere
The Party: *makes a successful saving throw*
Travis: *disappointed DM noises*

That fight scene was amazing! Felt like I was watching it
“They are elves, and since I’m a dwarf teeechnically...”
“WE ARE NOT EATING THEM!”
Again - thanks! Good storyline and role playing! Kudos to everyone!
Y'all rolled hot.
Ayy, so glad to catch this!! I got a session in the morning, and this'll be nice to get my brain in creative mode!
Wow I just watched travis interview on dnd youtube channel
So this series is great, I'm thoroughly enjoying them! BUUUUUT it really does seem like Travis/DM sometimes has it in for the characters...

"It would be a shitty musician if it's intentional" ... or they're a minimalist ... same difference ...
