      @@scrappinkaty I finally got myself the Epson PM400 and love the quality I'm getting. I started using Pic Monkey on my computer to size photos as I wish. I made one that was 2.5x3.5 but when I sent it to print, it printed a full 4x6. What am I doing wrong? Do I need some additional printer software to ensure it prints the size I want? What do you use to send your photos to the printer? TIA!

    • @scrappinkaty
      @scrappinkaty  2 роки тому

      @@hoodie427 your printer, once you send the photo to print, should have settings/properties that tell it #1 the size of the photo paper you're printing on(4x6) and #2 the size of the photo you want to print (3.5x4.5)....or at least mine does 😊

    Thank you so much for addressing the 2x2 issue for me! Can't wait to start my printing journey. But how do you get white borders with this program?

    • @scrappinkaty
      @scrappinkaty  2 роки тому

      Good question! When you click on the photo well - you are able to "scale the photo" and that will allow a bigger white border. I usually trim off any white that prints and just mat it with white cardstock so I haven't used that feature that much. HTH!

    Hi Katy, this was so helpful, I haven't heard of Picmonkey before. Looks pretty easy, but I do have a question - when you say go to the Hub - I don't know what that means. What is the Hub...is that where your photos are stored? Thank you!

      Yes ma'am...the Collage feature automatically has borders...otherwise, you can add a museum frame and make sure mat color is white. That's using the paid version...not sure about the free version though. Thanks for watching!

    • @scrappinkaty
      @scrappinkaty  2 роки тому

      I'm sorry I misspoke. I've been using PicMonkey forever (and paying for it for almost that long) and I didn't realize that they made their "free version" where you couldn't save and download your images. Depending on how much you scrapbook, it might be worth the fee. Otherwise, my friends Jayma & Erin have other programs they love but they show you the app, not the desktop version. I've linked their videos in my description in case you want to check those videos out and see if that will work better for you. Thanks for watching...good question!

    • @scrappinkaty

      Use the app I showed in my video...they save as 4x6s - you can wait until your favorite photo printing place has a sale or if you have an HP Printer at home, sign up for Instant Ink through HP and you could print them as low as 5-cents depending on which monthly plan you choose....that's what I use for all my late-night photo-printing or for when I need to edit a photo or enlarge. Can I upload many pictures all at once from my computer to work on in Picmonkey? I don't really want to upload one by one. Thanks in advance

    • @scrappinkaty
      @scrappinkaty  2 роки тому

      So glad it was helpful! Yes...you can upload as many as you'd like - there should be an option to upload (looks like a cloud with an arrow going up) to your hub. I have MANY FOLDERS and MANY PHOTOS in each folder (I have the paid subscription though...do you?)

    • @virgietime2scrapagain79
      @virgietime2scrapagain79 2 роки тому

      @@scrappinkaty I don't have the paid subscription. Is it necessary do you think for my purpose of just uploading and printing my fotos taken to scrapbook them? Also do you have a system showing the ones you have already printed on your computer?

    • @scrappinkaty
      @scrappinkaty  2 роки тому

      @@virgietime2scrapagain79 I don't think it's necessary but I've been a paid subscriber for so long, I have no idea what you get with the free version anymore (so sorry). I have a system for trips or extended layouts - I have a folder that I move them to when they're scrapbooked. For 1-page layouts, I sometimes use photos that were scrapbooked elsewhere (let's say a photo of me and my daughter at Christmas might be in our Christmas layouts but then I print it again and scrapbook how much we look alike...things like that).
