My Tascam 144 ran at double speed, is the 03 also doing that? It seemed the pre-recorded Billy Joel tape was playing at normal 1 7/8's IPS? Other than that I need a 4 track cassette to play back a bunch of old recordings I have, and that would be an excellent machine for my needs.
Any analog recording degrades audio. Only time audio quality does not change is in digital form because it's an exact copy. But recording is still good. As for metal tape, unfortunately I don't know. Thank you!
@@jaedarzadon I am aware of this. Let me re-phrase. Does this recorder sound „lofi“ or does it have decent recording quality. Tape can sound magnificent recorded on a good machine but there are also low quality machines that sound muffled and noisy. Which category does this fall into ? Asking cause the used market prices are a bit crazy imho
Be nice reduction but try to do a quick demo on that a little later and then you've got your inputs here on this side and you've got your connections here for either a mic or a different Source eat a bone crunch on it all night with your grandmother's Tascam smells like Teen Spirit holy muffin crank the poodle bites

I believe it's at normal speed. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video!
Would you say recording on to it degrades the sounds at once or can it record decently?
Also can it use Metal tapes?
