Your dedication to returning someone's sled in better condition than they bring it clean painted and spiff speaks a thousand words wish everyone would take note here is a pro!!!
Just found your channel .... cool build . Especially nice is the fact that it can be returned to stock if someone wanted too !!! As you said , a collector or whomever .... love the little "whoop, whoop sound from the engine , kinda Willy Wonka ish, LOL.....
Dude you made those kids day, weekend , season ! Kool beans .., glad to see the mini rippin!
So, this is what happens when you leave "the mad scientist" Pete, alone with a wee cat! Impressive!
Great job the kids will love ❤ it. It's not always about the high horse builds gents. We can always grab the hammer. First ride those kids eyes will pop out. Great video and cheers to Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
super cool! could use a guard around the chain.
Sweet. Love the old look. Great vidyas
Would love to see an update on this sled. See the kids rip it in the snow 😊
Nice! Probably worked on it for more hours than it will be riden before outgrowing it, but that is part of the fun. Perfect hand-me-down for sublings and cousins!
It's a smart swap to save this antique forever
Great idea! I bought one for my grandson when he was two.
I made brackets for the steering spindles and put small hard rubber tires on it, so he could ride it in the summer time.
Wholly smokes, a catwalk from Kitty Cat such as I have just witnessed from the modified Main Man. WOW MAN, YOU ARE AWESOME !
Holy Waaa !!! Pete, you can do custom paint work as well as the rest of the majic you do. Nice One, Again Sir !!!
Nice job!!! You forgot the chain cover. Little fingers and gears don't mix to good 👍
Sometime around 1980 our local dealer got one in. Early evening a logger stops by to pick up his new full size sled. One thing leads to another and the burly guy started picking on the Kitty Kat. The dealer tells the guy that it would haul his bulk across the icy parking lot. Well you guessed it, a bet was made, they gassed up the Kitty, the governor was opened and they parked it on the lot. He squeezed onto the machine and slammed the throttle home. Only to be tossed off onto the ice after the front end came up! More embarrassed than angry, this burly guy spent the next 15 minutes doing laps in the parking lot smiling like a five year old. Laughing at the tiny sled hauling him around at 10pm. Hands were shaken, smiles exchanged, his full size sled was loaded and down the road he went. The Kitty was sold to a new home a few weeks later. No doubt powering the dreams of a couple generations of children, young and old, For many years.
23 years ago I was looking at getting one of those, Arctic cat is the only brand I could find, they also had the z120, a smidge bigger sled. I’d like to get my hands on a kitty cat and a z120 some day soon
i like the time you spend keeping it "back to stock-able" thank you for sharing!! 💣
Wow does she ever dangle.. lol those kids will be the fastest ones at the lake , they’ll remember that they had something special for a long time I’m sure…
Nice job buddy. Can't wait for the next video.!
Whiskey Pete's next project, throwing a turbo 700 srx triple into a kitty cat, love to see a resulting mile long wheelie stand.
Very cool little sled .
like the sound with no exhaust poppin. reminds me of the old " johny popper" tractors
NICE PROJECT
I had the original...1972 kitty kat...my dad cranked the govenor up so I could go 15mph.
Nice work looks fun to build. I have project coming with a 120 zr hopefully put in a 212 Predator engine in it. 😊
Sounds awesome
You might want to put that governor back on 😂
I hope you put a chain case cover on it. 😬. A kids hands or pant legs could get caught in chain.😉 If made safe this could be great for anyones kid. 👍
Thats dope as shit for the younguns!!!as kids would say today with there pants sliding down past there ass crack to show us what brand of boxers mom buys!!keep us cracking up ,so far,so good just found ur site im hooked!!snookie pa.👌🤟👍
Kitty Cat only had a Kawasaki from 72-76. Suzuki engines were used from 77-99. Nice job on the transplant.
Nice build!
nice, I forgot just how small they were.... thx for the video!
Dang that thing goes
It sounds like the soda boat from Willy Wonka. Before the exhaust tube.
But she don't just dangle. She dingle dangles. 😅
i just recently have come across your channel and i FN love it and sounds like we are in the same neck of the woods. im from lakefield and living in burleigh falls. keep up the great work i would love to check out your shop and machines.
Going to smoke that clutch 😂😂😂😂😂😂☃️
Love it
Nice job needs a chain guard. Keith
I have the wheel kit for summer use if interested!
Looks like you had more fun than the kids will 😂
Awesome job with that little Kitty 👏👏👏 quick question why do you put it all together, then pull it all apart to clean and paint?! I know there’s a good reason, but just curious! 👍 Watching you wheelie that pretty Little Kitty was hilarious 😂 BTW
Video of the kids rippin it?
Cool
I want it lol
Id like to find one like that had one when i was a kid would like to put a 90-110cc in it
Kiddy grass dragger
What engine did you use? I want to do the same thing with minimal changes
I used a Briggs and Stratton off a pressure washer I had kicking around. it worked out great but I think any 6.5 horse honda clone engine would work just as well. thanks for watching 🍻
Needs a Turbo ?
Was the original engine blown?
yeah it was low on compression and we decided a 4 stroke would be better in the long run 🍻
No chain gard?
I didn't make one for the video but after the we knew it all worked the fella that owns it put one on it 🍻
Hit that kill switch with some WD40. It'll start and stay working I'll bet.
That not a 1994 kitty Kat.
Some things that I learned about the kitty cat snow mobile, it was manufactured from 1971 to 2000, the early prototypes came with a Clinton two stroke engine, they upgraded it to a Kawasaki two cycle engine model
TS060S1F that generated 2.85 HP at 7,000 rpm, it was governed for a max speed of 12 mph, the governor could be disconnected for a little bit faster top speed. the original fuel tank only held 1/2 of a gallon of fuel
They switched to a Suzuki copy of the 60cc single about 1976. Kept that engine until production stopped.
This sled looks like a parts mule made out of a later chassis and an older Kawy single. It’s common to swap back and forth, buy two make one. Not many changes over the years.
