I built a camper unit for my Skoda Yeti. Me and the wife get away a couple of times per year together in it. It cost me about £200 to build. It works a treat.
👍Congratulations on your new channel another great achievement you’ve done hope it does well which it will because you are very talented individual and your videos shows that 👏
Vanlife, seems like it could be a popular thing.. took me many years to get one but me and my family love our T6 LWB rear kitchen VW. Lovely job on the Crafter there.
In the future, it would be amazing if you could prep them for the test of time Campervan conversions are expensive and time consuming. They also need to sit for months or years on end without use at times. So it would be nice if the conversion included rust proofing and changing some components that make it more reliable. Nothing is worse than a campervan that you cannot trust to get you home
It's very "ikea" and I don't like it. The 80s Holdsworth and autosleeper did a better job of maximising space while still holding food preparation and processing equipment. If this is copy and paste to different types of vehicles vehicles, its going to get boring, more of the same. This is very "vanlife" "Instagram" more looks than practicality. I think Consort make the best new campervans and the vw t4 autosleeper topaz is the best old but not too old campervan with a rear bathroom in 5.1m long. Have you considered a vw t4 short wheel base with a modern very slim poptop. Around 4.6m long and just under 2m in height or else a t25 vw 4.5m long Avoid petrol go with a 1.9td in the t4 and 1.6 td in the t25. Smallest motorhome is the pilote R380 4.6m long. Perhaps a smaller nissan nv200. Certainly a medium wheel base crafter will not fit in a regular car parking space about 5.5m is the maximum to fit in some spaces, 6m crafter, no chance.
Hey @sim6699 I didn't go to ikea once but I'm going to take it as a compliment anyway :) Not planning on 'copy and paste' just trying to build something different to what's available on the market using materials that don't cost the earth. Consort and autosleeper make great vans, but we're not trying to make something that's already been done thousands of times its nice to be different! If it's a bathroom and 'food preparation and processing equipment' you're after keep an eye out for an upcoming van tour of a recent conversion with everything you could possibly want! Big fan of the T4, in my opinion the last good van VW made if you van find one without rust around the windscreen! FYI my daily is a MWB sprinter and have no problems getting it in parking spaces, Don't give up yet...

At 10,000 subscribers, you have to convert a camper van into a Victorian-era chimney.
