- In desperate need of prescription sunglasses last minute before our vacation to the keys, I saw this online and thought I'd give it a shot. While it never will compare to the real deal, I thought it turned out great.

I got excellent results by getting the glue really hot and using tooth picks to apply in the inside nose corner of each of lens and then the outside corner of each lens. Those two corners on each lens is all that was needed to hold my lenses in solidly. I did do the left eyeside twice because I was a bit too thin on the glue on the tooth pick. It's impossible to tell from looking at the glasses from the outside and the inside looks pretty clean. Wearing them is completely clean to see through and in focus now that my lenses are there. Really glad I did this hack.
I’m doing that as soon as I get my new glasses 😂
For $15.00, Walmart sells clip over sun glasses that work great.
Not the same
Thank you for this very helpful thanks ♥️♥️♥️😊😊👍 I subscribed
Thanks for posting this video. I might try double sided sticky tape of some sort around the edges to test first.
Should have used car window tint sheets on your old glasses, much easier.
Does that work? Like have you tried it? I haven’t found a video on it
I don’t see why it wouldn’t but can it be done in a way that actually looks good?
@@mustanggt35r44did you try it I wanna do it
You can use nail polish remover to remove any glue on the lens after it has dried.
dubble sided transparent tape?
same problem dude 😁
I'm just seeing your video, but AWESOME idea.....definitely trying this!!..BTW, who the heck is that in the background (Music)...I luv the song, so who is the Artist?
I think ima try this after work
When I wear my polarized glasses and I look through UV protected glass, I get an iridescent look to the sky, making me feel like I’m driving down Rainbow road in Mario Kart. I want to get this effect just walking down the street. Could I apply UV film to the outside of my polarized sunglasses to achieve this effect?
Lol I'm trying to tint my prescription glasses
Same
Did you find a solution
How’d it turn out?
@THE URBAN ARTIST um it was ok I had to take off the glasses from the frames butboncebibdidvthat and purchased some great glass tint for indoor windows it was great
In the description you say you saw this online, who else has done this? You're the only person I've seen doing this lol.
No he is not the only person.
Could you super glue instead of hot glue?
Did you try?
