Catriona has the most genuine answer. It came from the heart and up until now she's doing her advocacy not just for clout like others.
Sushmita Sen actually stood by what she answered in miss universe. She did not marry and she actually adopted her first daughter at a very young age of 24 I guess, and again later in her life adopted another girl. I think she is an epic miss universe.
Sushmita Sen, Pia Wurtzbach, and Brook Lee were really memorable and stood out.
I think there's no such thing as best answer from these beautiful and smart ladies who won MU. They're just naturally responded with their charm and intelligence to the different and varied questions being thrown to them with ease and confidence.

Only someone as iconic as Catriona Gray would be included in compilations like this, even if she didn’t win.
I loved the answer of Miss Cat in the Miss World and the answers from Miss Universe 1994, 2000 and 2019...I considered Miss Cat's and Miss Quiambao's in the Miss Universe as honorable mentions...
Anea García’s answer was disturbing. That man is not your father, and you’re only there because your MOM raised you and birthed you. What the hell.
I was thinking the same thing!!! What freaking message is she trying to relay? It’s okay to rape and get someone pregnant? How does the father influence her? She must bot understand the meaning of the word influence. Too sad for her mother, giving birth even after rape and your daughter thinks the most influence person in her life is your rapist.
It's probably because she had to forgive him, and if you can forgive someone like that you can forgive pretty much anyone else. What doesnt kill you makes you stronger you know
she had forgiven him, what is there to forgive? he didn't do HER any wrong. He raped her MOTHER! and for her to stand there saying he is the most influential person in her life and didn't mention her mother (who I think is the strong person, not her) is just straight up idiotic and ignorant.
I first I felt the same. Until I thought about what type of live she’s lived and how much he has weighed on the lives of both her and her mother. Forgiveness gave her the freedom to live. She’s already here, so all she can do is live.
I felt the same. It would be better if she said "thank you" to her mom for giving birth and bringing her up for her life. The act of saying like that will make her father and the one like him will feel proud and not guilty at all. 🥲 other people will think that her father's action is right

Did I miss it? I did not come across the thread that part featuring Precious Lara Guigaman's brilliant answer to a loaded question in the 2005 Miss International contest in Tokyo. Let me quote verbatim a write-up about the subject:
"What do you say to the people of the world who have typecasted filipinos as nannies?
Precious Lara replied, “I take no offense on being typecasted as a nanny. But i do take offense that the educated people of the world have somehow denegrated the true sense and meaning of what a nanny is.”
Quigaman further elaborated: “Let me tell you what she is. She is someone who gives more than she takes. She is someone you trust to look after the very people most precious to you - your child, the elderly, yourself. She is the one who has made a living out of caring and loving other people.”
In closing, Precious ended her nanny speech with, “So to those who have typecasted us as nannies, thank you. It is a testament to the loving and caring culture of the Filipino people. And for that, I am forever proud and grateful of my roots and culture.”
Now THAT is a winning answer! She had the whole world in the palm of her hand after that superb answer by turning an offensive question 180° by showing objectivity and grace under pressure.
Zimi Mabunzi’s answer at Miss South Africa 2021 remains one of the best for me. Straightforward & precise. When asked why society should allow trans women to enter Miss SA competition. She said “I honestly believe this shouldn’t even be a question. As a society, we need to release ourselves from the authority we tend to exercise over other people’s lives. If anything, trans women should be here. I believe every identity should be given a chance to be visible in our society”… 😊🙌🏾.
She was joint runner up at Miss SA 2021. Lalela Mswane won & Lalela was 2nd RU at MU but won Miss Supranational 2022.
For me, its Sushmita Sen was the best of them all
All those questions were so hard, I don’t know how I could ever answer them myself, especially in front of all those people

The questions are terrible and the answers are just as bad. They just sound "inspirational" while they respond, and they don't say "ummm" and "like" five times in a row, so these responses are viewed as the best, of course in contrast to all the dumb ones. Nothing special about them.
I don’t believe these answers were unscripted, they appear coached and with prior knowledge of the questions.
To win your country pageant & go and represent internationally with over 100 other countries & then be shortlisted for a Q&A there, one would have been truly one of the best speakers & be highly intelligent & they would have trained & trained & practiced all kinds of possible questions & answers. They are true leaders these days, not just pretty. So no, they don’t know the exact questions before hand.
I hate the answer of Brook Lee.. this answer was Stupid ! Sorry but it’s not a personality moment.. she not deserved to be Miss Universe
