You might be right... Among developers, Pfizer, Teranos, Chevron, Oracle and VW all have better reputations than Microsoft, on average. Which is to say some like it, some don't care, but about a fifth of us strongly dislike it. If you live in a Mac/Linux world, it's really easy to hate Microsoft's DOS/PowerShell weirdness.
