Yay! Look forward to these reactions, thanks for posting. My favorite thing about this episode is the easy friendship between Winters and Nixon. Bromance goals.
I loved the cinematography on this episode, this is one that Hanks himself directed in particular. Needless to say I'm one of the many people who've watched this more than a dozen times already I guess and there's no shame in not recognizing everyone or knowing how things work at the first go. This series will just keep getting better though and I'm glad you're reacting to it!
Howdy from north Texas once again! Welcome back buddy!!! It’s good to see your smiling face!!! Well done on the sound mate! Keep up the great work and I’ll see you in the next!
Moose Heyliger apparently had a bad habit of forgetting the day's password which was just an accident waiting to happen. The sentry was bit quick on the trigger but there was a real possibility of an enemy raid so he acted more or less correctly. No charges were brought against the sentry and he was transferred to another regiment.
Hey man, just want to say that I love your reactions, and I would absolutely love to see your reaction to “The Green Mile”. It’s an absolute gem of a movie..
It would be interesting with someone of your skill to make some kind of WWII short story with today's video technology, but use no CGI. Have a good weekend.
I wanted to do the story of Bamber Bridge at one point, I would just need to do lots of research to do it how I wanted, Thank you for the comment Eric!
@@WatchMeMovie Cool. Didn't know about that. And that would be doable as your main props would U.S. 6x6 trucks (there would be collectors that have those trucks in working order), other period WWII vehicles and antique cars and of course other work. All doable.
@@EricPalmerBlog This September I will be starting my 2nd year of film school. Maybe I aim to do this as my final project at the end of year 3...Thanks for getting my brain ticking over mate
I never noticed there's a slight mistake in this episode. When Nixon says "If we'd have taken Antwerp..." The British Army did take Antwerp before Market Garden, but they didn't control the approaches until later.
@@shabut Market Garden was about getting a bridge into the Rhine and Monty stealing the glory from Patton. It still would have happened and might possibly have succeeded if the remains of the German 15th Army had been dealt with in taking Antwerp.
Tom Hank's love for typewriters really comes through this episode.
Slippers, have you read TH’s book? (Uncommon Type) I’d guess you have,
I think it was interesting 🤔
I’ve seen this series too many times to count and I’m now certain this episode is my favorite.
You need to watch "A Bridge Too Fa' to get an indepth look at Operation Market Garden!!!! GREAT movie !

If you look very carefully, Tom Hanks has a cameo as a Red Devil during the celebratory toast to Easy Company.
I need to go back and look for that, cheers!
YAY! The next episode is my favorite! So glad to see the content coming in. Great video! Great voice!
Thank you Alyssa, I appreciate you coming back!

Film suggestion....Glengarry Glen Ross...i think you would love it.
The sound was great. You got back into the series right where you needed to.
Yaaaaay!! Bastogne is coming up. It's like 3 episodes in one. And episode 9 is very aptly named.
Keep up the good work bro.
appreciate it Jason!
the next two episodes are in my opinion, the best two of the series.

Thanks for saying so mate! I have seen the Green Mile a lot but could possibly do a commentary in the future

I do hope that You’re doing better Son. God Help Me. All I want to do is make sure You’re doing well, and not over stretched.
Doing a lot better nowadays! Thanks for coming back and watching
Any bacon sandwich?

Its not a mistake if they had taken it when planned Market Garden wouldn't have needed to happen
It's possible that Nixon meant taken in a broader sense, i.e. that Antwerp could be used as a port for allied shipping.
