I just did the hardest job ever imo. Replaced the power steering pump and rack and pinion in a 2013 caravan and there is NO UA-cam video anywhere and NOTHING on google telling you how to do it!! Please I’m begging you to make a video for the rack and pinion and power steering pump. The shop quoted me $1500 USD before tax and parts for this job the $1500 USD was just labor cost and there’s no way I could afford to do that! Took me 3 almost 4 days, 10 hours a day to figure it out by myself. This video needs to happen to help others out and literally save THOUSANDS of dollars!!!
@@troyporter3825I had no idea what I was doing I took so much stuff apart trying to figure it out then finally when everything was back together I had to figure out how to bleed all the air out of the system. Really needed a video or even a what to do list 🤦♂️
Firstly, great job and glad you managed to work it out and get it done!! We've looked at expanding to cover larger-scale in-depth jobs such as this, and like you said this would save viewers thousands of dollars. In fact, we estimate that we've likley saved our viewers collectively millions of dollars with our video's already! Bottom-line: if we get enough support from our viewers then we can expand and cover even more stuff 👍 ----------------------------------------------- To help support us: 1) Please be sure to use our Amazon Links! 2) Please ensure you LIKE our video's, and SUBSCRIBE to our channel! 3) Donations always welcome! Your videos are very thorough and helpful. Just waiting on Amazon to send the parts, can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned from you. Also can’t wait to get my you wrench tshirt in the mail. Great logo!
Hey there! In the video description you will find discs and pads listed there, specifying if they are for Standard or Heavy Duty brakes. You cannot mix components, so if you have standard calipers you need to install standard discs and pads, and likewise if you have HD calipers you must install HD discs and pads. There are also two links in the video description for these same drilled and slotted discs as seen in this video, which are available for both standard or HD. Hope that helps 👍 ----------------------------------------------- To help support us: 1) Please be sure to use our Amazon Links! 2) Please ensure you LIKE our video's, and SUBSCRIBE to our channel! 3) Donations always welcome! Absolutely. Maybe I should have been more specific in the video... If you are cleaning the hole out completely then brake cleaner is ideal. However, if you are not cleaning it out (just checking for condition/for contaminants like in this video) then it would be best to avoid spraying brake cleaner into the hole as this will effectively 'melt' (for want of a better word) the grease that is in the hole, and compromise it. But if cleaning the hole out then absolutely use it to get all the old grease out and away. I hope that makes sense!! 👍 ----------------------------------------------- To help support us: 1) Please be sure to use our Amazon Links! 2) Please ensure you LIKE our video's, and SUBSCRIBE to our channel! 3) Donations always welcome! The biggest issue on these vans is the slider pins seizing in their bores, but that's in Ontario Canada.
Can you please do a video on alternator replacement for 2013 dodge grand caravan? Please im a woman trying this on my own. I am all I have.
We have no plans for one currently, baybe we'll be able to cover that in the future 👍
