Bonnie is remarkable. Right up there with Maddy Prior and the chic from early Pentangle. I was reading Fred Neil made an appearance on this show. Anyone seen this footage on YT? Thanks great post!
To my regret I've only just discovered Bonnie Dobson with her amazing bell- like voice, linked here by her wonderful song, Morning Dew, sung powerfully by Tim Rose, and others ,one of my favorite songs of the 60's, Another favorite of that wonderful creative era , A taste of Honey, sung really beautifully by Bonnie here , mesmerising, we knew it in the UK as sung by the Beatles, a really wonderfully poignant song, so I've learnt a lot today.........nice to hear and see some real talent again.. thanks for posting !
Love this. Were there more concerts like this one taped from this college in Ontario? Outstanding singing by Bonnie Dobson! What a stunning, pure as silk, folk voice.
I remember this Let’s Sing Out episode, when two African-American men looking like brothers sang “Scarlet Ribbons” in an acapella harmony so sweet and so moving, I burst into tears spontaneously... I’d give my eye-teeth to see and hear them again...
Josh White & Josh Jr. were on one time, possibly them? I don't know if the footage still exists, but here is Mr.White Sr. in Sweden 1962 as a consolation clip: ua-cam.com/video/edW5UHehwbA/v-deo.html Hope it helps in the hunt to hear!
That would have been Joe & Eddie...big hit for them in NYC (well, the Village). Look for their LP, "There's a Meetin' Here Tonight." Could be on youtube too...I haven't searched.
Just before everybody was too stoned to move, before they got hipper than thou, and sat around with their mouths hanging open.. things were kinda lively, and so were the gals !
Wonderful Bonnie Dobson ❤
Bring back “the great folk scare”. Thanks for sharing. Music and history.

Check out Long John Baldry's cover of Morning Dew, if you haven't heard it. My favorite cover of the song.
The Jim Kweskin Jug Band, loved them for years. When they play it's pure joy.
I discovered Bonnie on records about 25 years ago, but never did I think I could see her in person in concert!
Msris Muldaur of Midnight at the Oasis fame. Pretty good fiddle player.
Thank you thank you thank you - this is fabulous! Ed
The Jim kweskin jug band were very good, that show was so cool

Tbis is a 3 year show in Canada which my father Oscar Brand hosted. Thete ate more on UA-cam. Jeannie Brand
This is great. I haven't hear Bonnie or Len since 1963/4
Bonnie lives in London now, she has done since 1969.
Love that Jug
Geoff Muldaur I believe.
Of the women singing in the style called "folk" in the sixties only Joan Baez, as far as I know, had a voice as pure as Bonnie Dobson's.
RIP Oscar Brand
Thank you. I miss him so much. Jeannie Brand

Yup. Well said and well observed
Geoff and Maria Muldaur do a great version of Donovan's "Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness)", wonder where he got it? An old spiritual?
Isn't Bonnie the songwriter who wrote "Morning Dew"?
Thank you! Do you know if the "Let's Sing Out" episode with the GoldeBriars still exists? It aired March 16, 1965.
Where's Mel?
