As an Italian, I can't even begin to express how satisfying that was. That opportunist thought he could parade indiscriminately, regardless of his recent past with the Russian president and got schooled in front of the media. As an Italian, I am feeling profoundly shameful of what the Italian Senator Salvini has done for his personal political advantage. And I want to apologize to the Polish people, and the Ukrainian people for this shameful act of disrespect in this time of tragedy. All, please be assured that there are many, many Italians who do not agree with Salvini political views (or do not pay sufficient attention to what he says / does).

About the sanctions and the increase of costs, it’s too easy to speak as heroes saying “no matter the costs, I’ll do it for Ukraine” for people having a stable job, a house, a car and no economic issues.
Think about all the people struggling to have a job now facing oil products and gas costs literally skyrocketing…that’s not so simple.

As an Italian, I'm proud of what the Mayor did to Salvini. Salvini did not comdemn Putin, he has never even mentioned him, because of his long-lasting friendship with him. This trip to the Ukrainian borders is just one of his numerous acts of hypocrisy. Well done Mayor!
All the European far right is in love with Putin. They love the "strong" man. The same whom were in power in France between 40 and 44.

They are equally guilty as the rest. Merkel even more with her pity sanctions and Nord stream 1 and 2. I said to my polish friends, if putin invades you, surrender and let Russian go and invade Germany, don't be like Ukraine don't fight for corrupted cowards from West, as noting has changed since ww2.
