Reminds me of a mini quest in Yakuza 0, Kiryu had to help a punk band with a PR stunt. Turns out they weren't actually punks but proper gentlmen. So Kiryu has to help them sound more bad. Aku was told to stay silent so that the fans would be disappointed that he wasnt a badass or something

It's like everytime they're together, Adam is just always really quiet but when he says something it is, as you already said, amazing! But I am always questioning if he enjoys just sitting there and listening or if he is making something up in his mind to say. But really they are all great, but I think Adam has a charisma the other two have but in a different way.... Anyway, AJR is great as a whole!

Smishy I’m an AJR fan too, but honestly, it’s not that deep. It’s very vulnerable, but it’s not deep. It’s musically very complex, but not lyrically.
@@MichaelRockfez That is what makes their songs so good about the first half of Neotheater is vulnerable, the second part is deep but sticks with their up beat tone. Karma is a good example the beats make the tone feel light but if you pay close attention it dives deep into how people view how life treats them.

This has made me love the album more than I already do. I really enjoy that the whole album feels like one giant song with many different emotions and scenes, if you will. I appreciate that not every single song AJR creates is about relationships and love and the songs that are are super deep and have a lot of heart in them. This album is extremely cohesive and I love every single little detail that was put into the songs and hearing them explained makes me appreciate those little details more. Neotheater is a super special album and it's very clear to me that it's special to them as well. This is such an interesting interview and I'm so glad I watched all of it!!! I agree with everything that was said especially about listening to the album as a whole and entering AJR's world. I truly feel that and when I go to put Neotheater on I like to listen from start to finish. I can't pick songs from the album to put into playlists because they all go together so well that it would feel weird to not listen to them together. I truly hope AJR gets the recognition they deserve for this album because it is so evident that they created this so carefully and put a lot of thought into it. I hope every person that listens to Neotheater appreciates it as much as they do.

I love how they would rather have the fan base love them and everyone else hates them than everyone liking them. I love them no matter how weird the music they put out may be. My friends hate it and think it's weird, but you have to be weird to love it. I hyped up the album so much to them, that they actually listened to it but only once. Imagine listening to AJR for the first time and you hear Next Up Forever... That's exactly what happened to my friend lol she said yeah I'll listen to it and when she heard the first song she stopped lol it's not for everyone

Quarter-life-crisis as Disney Musical is a fantastic idea for an album, I'm so excited for more folks to give the record a spin!
I relate to Neotheater so much!!! I agree that it should be nominated for a Grammy because this album talks about all of our inner thoughts that scare us. The thoughts that we are told to withhold because it is too weird or too messed up or just not what society wants to acknowledge. I can't wait to see them live!
Zach and his team did an amazing job with the interview. Haha his reaction to everything AJR said as they explained their production process and stories behind the songs, was literally my reaction. LOL
Neotheater made me laugh, cry, and contemplate the meaning of life. Congrats on all your hard work and another incredible album!

I've never heard someone talk so passionately about their music and work as they do, every time Zach tried to move on to the next song they'd say "Wait! were not done we need to show you how we made this part of the song!" or something similar. I love them and their music so much. You can feel how much they love it and how much the fans do too.

I just fell in love with this album all over again. I originally heard AJR from the song weak and I never listened to any other song by them except occasionally on the radio station 104.5 then last summer AJR preformed at the 104.5 birthday celebration show and I fell in love with them they were amazing live and after I got home that night I listened to EVERY single song by them and this album blew me away because I now feel apart of the family and I had the pleasure of listening to this album at midnight when it dropped on friday❤️❤️
If a fan manages to sing the whole last part of Karma without any breaths AJR should invite them out for lunch as a prize 🌟 !! lol

It's not that hard, I speak very fast and I do slur some parts but if you do what jack did and breath in after some lines you get enough air for the fast spoken lyrics

I feel like this album and this interview has opened my eyes to music so much more and i have a much greater appreciation for not just AJR but all producers and writers. I've never heard an album as deserving of a Grammy as Neotheater. My music standards are going to be so high from now on!
