For all those who begin to hate the film due to the probable death of Donna: In the first film, Donna sang about how sad it's to see children leaving home when they become adults. Now, Soffie will sing how hard it's to become an adult and have to carry on after the death of our parents. Life is this way. If the film raises it that way, it will be great. In both cases, both of them had to be strong and continue with their lives.

I dont understand why are people so outraged.... it was pretty clear from the beginning, that Meryl Streep's role will NOT be so big as it was in the first movie, because the main focus will be on flashbacks. So we would not see Meryl in the second movie so much anyway. And if her character is really dead, it makes perfect sense. If the "main event" of the first movie is wedding, it's a great contrast to make a funeral (and wake) the "main event" of the second movie. Logic. We can clearly see Meryl in the new trailer at least in two scenes - one pure fantasy scene, in costumes with Dynamos , and the second one with Sophie - and if is she really dead, that would be some very emotional "final goodbye" scene, hopefully with some duet). The story of the second movie NEEDS some reason to happen. Characters need some big reason to get back together. Also there has to be a reason tell young Donna's story - and thats Sophie's pregnancy. It makes perfect sense. Tanya and Rosie will tel Sophie, how "she did it all on her own" and she will "become a second Donna" ... Full freaking circle. So people, please, think before hate , ok ? :). (Btw I am very curious what songs they will use - If Donna is really dead, there needs to be some "goodbye" song - and I cant think of one song that fits - maybe "Like an angles passing through my room" - witch is some kind of lullaby but I cannot shake off the feeling that somehow the song is about death. We get to see Donna's past and how she met Sam, Bill & Harry in her young adult years We get to see Sophia and Skye travel the world and find out she's pregnant We get to see how Donna met her best friends Tanya and Rosie and how they became The Dynomos We get to learn about Sam, Bill & Harry's pasts and how they came to meet Donna We get to learn about how Sophia is doing and finding out how her life is now and how it's changing and finally We get to relive our memories from the first movie that made Abba's songs so great plus we get to see the same cast return, they may look different but personally I cannot wait for this I swear to god this sequel is gonna be great! I am so excited for it! :D.

Me and my grandparents would watch this movie together all the time. They both have now passed and it kinda hurts to watch this trailer and remember the feeling of joy I would have around them. I didn't have depression when they were alive. I wasn't scared of losing someone before. The feelings that I would get back then died with them. But this movie will always bring them back.

I've been ecstatic about this sequel ever since it was first announced, 'cause I'm such a huge fan of the first film. I was thrilled when I realised this trailer had come out, but now I'm just so shocked to find out Donna dies in this sequel. The first film has always been one of my favourite 'happy movies' - the ones I adore because they're greatly entertaining but also light enough that I can watch them with not too much emotional effort. So I suppose I never imagined the sequel could contain anything so profound as the death of one of the main characters. I'm sure the overall tone of the film will still be quite light and ultimately happy, but still I know I'm going to cry like a baby when Donna dies or is said to have died. Very excited to see this sequel nonetheless!
