It's great you noticed Jisoo's scene had a deeper meaning (as does her archer scene in Kill This Love)... The start of the scene has the media focused on Jisoo's image, not paying attention to the real her... until she falls, and then they are suddenly surrounding her, hidden behind their masks of anonymity, their cameras (phones) now trained on her like weapons... reflecting the treatment of idols by the media and netizens.. like the hate, gossip and rumours that follow Jennie (the one on the tank) since her dating scandal...
PS. If you want to see what each member brings, and their chemistry together as a group, you should see their performance of Miguel's "Sure Thing" on SBS Party People...
While I admire your analysis of Jisoo's scene, the message is far deeper than that. The mural painting represents the perfect celebrity image people have of her and we see people and paparazzi idolizing it, not paying attention to the real Jisoo. But once she makes a mistake (in the video it's depicted by her tripping), those same people are quick to change sides, attack her, and are ready to bring her down. Them wearing masks alludes to the haters using the comfort of anonymity to do the hating while Jisoo is putting her self out there. I know someone else can explain it better but that's just the TLDR of what her scene actually represents. I hope this helped 😅 It's the sad reality of what celebs have to go through. Since they're famous, most people often dismiss it but it really needs to be talked about more.
Your one of few reactors who actually got the message behind jisso's scene when she tripped and suddenly guns pointed on her as if she was not allowed to make mistakes because shes a celebrity who needs to be perfect at all the time. Some reactors laugh at that scene without even analyzing the meaning behind of it
Blackpink come up with their own concepts for their scenes, and they have a creative team that brings their vision to life. So it’s a collaborative work between Blackpink and the team.
The honesty in your reactions is what makes it more interesting to watch! Hearing your honest thoughts on their music is what separates you from other reactors who just hop on the bandwagon for views. I appreciate that the most, keep doing you!!
On Lisa's Scene ( The 1st Rap ) The lyric "I'm in my element, I'm toxic" means she's dangerous or she's a person you can't be mess with while; "You fall for me, I'm foxy" has a meaning. We all now that fox(animal) are described as deceitful animal like Swiper in Dora. That only means she's a person with loads of tricks up in her sleeves that you'll eventually fall for her.
The tank is real and there was a person driving it haha the one flowing in the tank is Jennie, she's the main rapper, but the one that raps the most is Lisa (the foxy one) cause she has the american swag and because Jennie is also a lead singer. The one you like the most is Jisoo and she's the visual of the group (yeah, it's an important thing in korea) and that's why her scenes are the most beautiful in terms of cinematography. Rosé, the red haired one, is the main vocalist and she hits the most difficult notes.
I think Teddy (dog) is sending you a message from Teddy (main producer of Blackpink songs) that you need a better headphones to get full experience of their music 😉 🖤🎧💗
Please before you forgot the beat react 2 other versions of DU DU DU DU (D4), D4 in Coachella 2019 and D4 Remix Encore in Tokyo Dome. Both have different vibes but the same hype. Oh man, I can't wait to see your reaction and your comments. (I just notice that you like heavy metal so both songs will fit with you :D even the remix... Don't judge the remix by the beat... hahaha)
Lovesick Girls should be the next song you react to by them 😅 Yeah all the songs you've heard are all bangers because that's mostly what gets recommended. They have more sentimental deeper songs too.
I myself was a Blackpink fan about a year but never focused of the meaning of lyrics and video or those crazy visual effects becoz I don't understand their language just I used enjoy those beats and thier vocals these kind of beats make me vibe before watching them I used to listen different kind of musics so these are so good to listen but after watching your reactions I understand those meaning thanks man your 19 and you can understand the concept more deeply I saw other creators but they are not like you your just different appreciate man
I love your critical comments. I am a blink to death but I definitely encourage blinks and listeners / consumers of songs to question things and use their songs as catalyst to question things and beliefs . Anyways love your authenticity
You should react the dance performance, their performance at award show, their dance practice, the album (their new album). Their TOKYO DOME concert and their performance at COACHELLA!!!!! I LOVE YOUR REACTION!
have never seen a reactor like this, it's funny, keep it real :) anyways will still recommend getting to know one group fully, it helps with discerning faces, It is Jisoo in the wig who is also on the wall... this not a critique, I had troubles in the beginning as well, you say you from the Netherlands, so like me you probably never been exposed to many Asians in real life, let alone Koreans, learning their (blackpinks) individual traits helped me open my worldview :) I will recommend outside Blackpink (I know but you asked), MINO with the song "Fiance" he is also from the label of Blackpink (YG), and as a soloist not considered an idol, but in an idol group (Winner), he makes HipHop with a very Korean flair, that song especially is a fave of mine, the title is misleading btw it is a Korean word for "married woman I lust for" (a bad word in a conservative society, but apparently common enough to have it's own word) don't know why they translated it as such, but other than that the translations are pretty solid
If you wanna hear Lisa (the rapper with bangs) in an an old school flow, you would wanna react to Love To Hate Me (full english song). It doesnt have a music video but you may react to a lyric video and a live performance.
plss react to boombayah n whistle n playing with fire by blackpink n also jennie solo n on the ground by rosé, hoping to see your reactions to these ,u r doing amazing keep it up dude
what lisa said here "im toxic" means she's not referring to a toxic personality but a "toxic" dangerous way that you can't mess with. and saying " you'll fall for me, I'm foxy " which foxy seen as a character of being Monster/dangerous character in many story with deceiving personality. which if you know fox being potrayed in kdrama or anime, fox is always with a character that deceives people to fall on their trap.
If you prefer songs with deeper lyrics you can react to Stay, Hope Not and You Never Know. I would also recommend Pretty Savage, Lovesick Girls and basically all of THE ALBUM, which is their latest album and also first full Album. Not every song has a MV, but all the MVs they have are on their official channel Blackpink so if you find one somewhere else it's not official.
Thanks for reaction to BLACKPINK! ❤♥️ They have 4 MV above 1 BILLION+ views. Please try them all! Kill This Love [1.3B] BOOMBAYAH [1.2B] As If It's Your Last [1B]
The girl with umbrella is Jisoo. she the actress/singer of the group. also, her shots are always breath-taking and people say she is more beautiful in real life ( it is out of topic), but please check out their song LoveSick Girls. Jisoo and Jennie ( the girl with the tank) helped to write the song.
Hi, I'm new in your channel, you can find the making film of the video, the production of each one are amazing!, their company YG doesn't know green screen
My favorite K-pop idol is jisoo🥰🥰🥰 because I like her voice and her smile 😊😊😊 I like all of her beauty 😍🥰🥰 I love you so much because you favorite black pink singer is jisoo 💕💕💕
11:10 they have remixed BP's ddu du ddu du with indian song(specifically Punjabi song) tunak tunak tun😂🤣 Its funnier how well these two completely different songs compliment each other.
Incase yall wondering I respect your opinion regarding the boombayah mv but fyi that mv was released they just DEBUTED in 2016 it just they just introduced into the public its like their music are not mature enough back then bec their just 19-21 years old and they are not allowed to write their songs during that time bec its ther rules from their agency so that's all you can also watcy the Netflix: Light Up the sky documentary to know more about them incase you want to know their origins of the group and how they become popular so and if you want MEANINGFUL SONGS then react to these songs of the ff: Whistle mv Stay mv Playing with fire mv Pretty savage color coded lyric video You never know lyric video LOVE TO HATE ME Lyric video Kick it lyric video And also they cove Sure thing by Miguel - party people you can also check that tysm
The Korean rap was translated to English, I think. However, there is an English rap (different from this one) in the Japanese version of this song. The references/bars in the Japanese version are kinda dope. *Blackpink songs in Japanese versionhave English raps.
To put that subsriber base in context, they're the second most subscribed artist/group on UA-cam, JUST behind Justin Bieber who they're about to pass, and 14th of all UA-cam channels. That's of ALL channels, GLOBALLY! This video is easily their most detailed with a huge amount of cultural, social commentary, self referencing, and much more content - from Jennie and her fennec fox referencing Blofeld and his cat (check it out, he's movie arch villain) while being the Queen looking down on the chess pieces as she's plotting, and her eye colour change; Lisa's set has many Blackpink references on the blackboard, pink money, and when she says she's foxy (slang for sexy) she has a tail; Jisoo's dress in the 'shooting' scene is of Sandra Brant, who was cast out of her upper class society for falling in love with a woman and leaving her husband; Jisoo's umbrella scene has her surrounded by devestation with fire falling from the sky but she's immaculate because she has an umbrella because she predicticted it - and that's just a taste of it. You have found their YT channel, if you enter "making of" into the search line, it'll bring up the list of videos for the making of ALL their M/Vs - and yes, with a tiny exception for Whistle and post editing, ALL their scenes are actual physical sets. If you're into metal/hard rock, you REALLY need to check out the Japanese band Band-maid - they're regarded by some VERY good musicians as boing one of the best bands in this century - they're GOOD, and they rack HARD! Their YT channel (please subscribe, people, they're woefully under subscribed) - ua-cam.com/channels/JToUvYrmkmTCR-bluEaQfA.html - and while they don't seem able to make anything other than bangers, I'd suggest DICE, NO GOD, DOMINATION or for an instrumental piece ONSET, you really can't go wrong with them! The only warning I'd make is that you're going to want to watch, and listen, to everything 😎👍
Please react to more Blackpink. I hope you react to their B-side track too. There are lots of lyric videos of it on YT with an English translation cuz I know you like to pay attention to lyrics too. And some songs are straight all English. Personally, I always love their B-side track more than the title song. Their discography is honestly great.
Can you react to BLACKPINK You Never Know? It is one of their slower melodic song. There is no music video for this song, but there are color coded videos on UA-cam that show the English lyric with audio song track. 🙏😎
omg.. one of my fav song is this. the lyric and how the vocal hitz up and down with full emotional meaning into it.. too good.. Love the chorus part which literally gives bck to the haters "itz easier to judge than to believe"
Okay, please don't be offended or mistaking my intention cuz personally i wanna make some perspective based on what you said within this reaction: First of all so you told us that you're kinda like a 90's Hip-Hop "NERD" listener, so honestly i have such a big expectation and always thought that atleast you have had such deeper/proper interpretation toward a certain lyricism especially for a small glimspe of lil rapping verse, but somehow on 3:50 until 4:15 where you literally took the lyrics (and not even the full part of the first llines) in the most simple way nor basic definition that i ever heard, like come on now... ain't no way that Lisa or BP members straightly promoted a literal toxic attitude, i mean i know it's a honest nor a genuine blind impression but still you gotta read the full part of those rap line for one more time properly and trust me you'll get the right idea about those particular rap verse... - 5:20 - 5:28 : Not really for the whole part but they did involved in the main thought process while they attending few of big meeting sessions with other staff from their company alongside with BLACKPINK's special team production before starting the making process of the whole MV's production. A Kpop MV is pretty much complicated on its own, so most of the time the artist themselves also works wirh a bunch of experts just for making one MV, therefore in a huge entertainment company they have such a division parts in production's team which exclusively formed for maintaining one Kpop group, those team mainly use their undeniable skills to extract the soul of a song to fully fittin with the main idea from the band's name alongside with those certain elements (including the mindsets/general ideas/individual skills/possibility outcomes) that only exist from each of group's member. So it's not like the team production just make a MV and randomly forcing the artist to be there at the MV's scene, atleast it's definitely not how it works for such a big artistic Kpop group such as BLACKPINK nor BTS - 9:00 - 9:37 : you were mistooking Jennie's rap part with Lisa's rap part, "the fat check" nor "the fact check" lyrics lies on Lisa's part and as for Jennie's it's purely written as another different verse but still has the connection to Lisa's part tho. As for Jisso's scene (the girl that tripped her leg) it was actually more like the symbolism for huge influcencer's harshship and the constant bad environment that happens to be part of their life style (that's including the aggresiveness of trash paparazzi, immature netizens and salty single-minded type of society) which always shamelessly wait for the failure-moment of the influencers themselves and those negative cylce of life always ended up into the cancel-culture type of things which sadly still happening to BLACKPINK and other big Kpop influencers until this day. For me your interpretation was a bit off (it's not in a bad way tho), but you've got the right guess when you said those iconic scene has double entendre or something subbliminal meaning into it... - 10:31 - 10:57 : umm, "vagina"? really dude? after "the presence" that's the closest word that you'd thought kinda well match for those "Uh-huh" wording? good Lord lol... but look, to be fair i'm fully aware that there's a possibiility that you might have been growing up in such a mainstream western culture and probably saw too much sexual entendres in a lot of shitty musical's stuff already, but again now you're watching Kpop tho and they have such a unique perception when it comes to describing the "savage culture" which slightly different from what you've been seen on the most western artist that ever existed. So because of that i genuinely wish you could see it from a brighter perspective, yeah... you said those "uh-huh" doesn't really have a content in it? fair enough cuz you still clearly new to BLACKPINK nor to Kpop culture as a whole thing. But then again you just missing the fun part of making a creative imagination to the lyricism, i mean if you trully pay attention to the whole part of the lyricism then you'll get what they mean more easily as it should be... but anyway TY for checkin out their music as always and i'm still gonna appreciate your honest opinion, but hopefully for the next one you'll be back in a better interpretation, that's it... see u soon bro..
@@joeyboy814 TY for the understanding, glad some BLINKS still aware for that kind of sensitive things, i mean sometime reactors can be just too careless of what they've been saying so that's why i wanna remind him to not cluelessly thrown some weird assumptions eventhough it's a blind impression type of reaction's video
That was a nice reaction, you can maybe React to something different in a different language , Moroccan rap for example, check : Mario by Ouenza, it'll be nice if you react to it i would like to see how u react, i hope you will read my comment 😊❤️

First of all so you told us that you're kinda like a 90's Hip-Hop "NERD" listener, so honestly i have such a big expectation and always thought that atleast you have had such deeper/proper interpretation toward a certain lyricism especially for a small glimspe of lil rapping verse, but somehow on 3:50 until 4:15 where you literally took the lyrics (and not even the full part of the first llines) in the most simple way nor basic definition that i ever heard, like come on now... ain't no way that Lisa or BP members straightly promoted a literal toxic attitude, i mean i know it's a honest nor a genuine blind impression but still you gotta read the full part of those rap line for one more time properly and trust me you'll get the right idea about those particular rap verse...
So it's not like the team production just make a MV and randomly forcing the artist to be there at the MV's scene, atleast it's definitely not how it works for such a big artistic Kpop group such as BLACKPINK nor BTS
- 9:00 - 9:37 : you were mistooking Jennie's rap part with Lisa's rap part, "the fat check" nor "the fact check" lyrics lies on Lisa's part and as for Jennie's it's purely written as another different verse but still has the connection to Lisa's part tho.
Clicked out of the video after he said “Vagina” like yo I let the other dumb stuff slide but this comment said it all. BRAVO!
