I have the original release. Played it with nephews, aged 8 and 15 awhile back. They enjoyed it and really loved the theme. I imagine it gets even better with the later releases added to it.
Dude, since when are War of the Ring & Horus Heresy still not opened and played? That scratches my... eyes every time I see your videos, wich I really like to whatch by the way.
I find it disappointing they don't have a way to merge all of these. They definitely should have suggestions for card counts from each product to give a balanced and fair game-play experience.
If you're still looking for that i can recommend looking here static1.squarespace.com/static/5c6ddc644d546e70437481eb/t/5f1774b30d2c1a77414cc40b/1595372727040/Boss+Monster+Expanded+Rules+Guide.pdf
Is there any list of the cards? I want to see to know the list of cards before deciding if i want this expansion the whole miniexpansion/coin model doesn't convince me but i could get the expansion if see enough cards that are good to add to my boss monster collection.
Just a quick question, when you play a mini boss on a room if you upgrade your room on your next turn do you loose the mini boss? Me and the wife can’t get enough of this game:)
From how I have been playing and from the rules - the mini-boss is not a "room enhancement" - it is something that is placed "under the room" and lives in the room. So you can continue to upgrade the room if you would like. Now, if the room is ever destroyed - the mini-boss is destroyed as well.
Question how i play with these minibosses. When i built the first room and i take a miniboss below that room, i can use the power from the miniboss with a coin. When i built another room over the room and over that room bevore, is the miniboss there still aktive? Will the miniboss with his functions Work for all overbuilt rooms? When i overbuilt a room with a room does the miniboss losing his coin who i before pay to aktivate him? When a miniboss is under 3 rooms and when i destroy these 3 rooms, must i take that miniboss away too? When a miniboss is under 3 rooms and when i destroy 2 rooms, must i take that miniboss away or is he still alive? Can i built a miniboss as stand alone or does i need a room to use a miniboss? Greetings, Alexander
I have bm 1,2, and now 3. I also have the steam version and all expansions. Played mtg for over 25 years but my friends will not play magic anymore. So I got this because I love the concept and design. Wish I worked at brotherwise I have so many ideas for a futuristic game following this format. Anyway, praise and cred aside, my question is are the two mini expansions worth buying? I’ll have to order them I cannot find physical copies in town. (Crash landing and implements of destruction)
Brandon DeLozier : i think both are worth it definitely. If you had to pick i think crash landing is the way to go as it offers more gameplay additions.
You are missing an add on. One that comes with more magic items. Tools of a Hero Kind? I've combined everything so far, making it roughly 1 of each card, but keeping the total number of cards the same as the base game. The only thing that increased the game size was the inclusion of the cards with the Artifact icon. In a 4 or less game we just discard these and immediately redraw to replace. This expansion looks like it would make the game too fiddly. There wouldn't be a way to balance out the cards since this expansion relies on a specific gimmick: coins. By changing the card consistency it may make it more difficult to get what is needed to make anything function well. I'll pass on this expansion.
Ezra Smith : That is a collectors box that will hold everything. I think you can still get them from the Brotherwise website. Comes with some extras too - its pretty cool.
Can someone explain the miniboss "Rocky" its level one says "you may build any room on top of this one, regardless of treasure icon." What exactly does that mean?
that you can build an advanced room regardless not having the same treasure icon (remembering you can't build an advanced room over another with different treasure icon)
Just got this as a secret Santa gift. Would this be a good starting place to introduce my fiance to BM? Or does the coins, mini bosses, and stuff make it unneccarily complicated for a first time of BM?
Just played my first game of it with 4 people. To a degree there's alot of cards that make it unnecessarily complicated (i.e, cards that say end of turn - meaning the end of someone individual turn or a round? Seems to be both in some cases) as well as things like XP order determining what happens, In what order do you draw cards after heroes enter town, etc. Took us at least an hour and a half to get through. This expansion is way more advanced with the coins and minibosses. It was really fun but we had so many questions the rules seemed to be vague on
Also the fact there aren't ANY UA-cam videos showing any gameplay or instructions on this expansion tell me there may be alot of things in the air with it. From what I can see and understand the first one is much simpler without the coins and minibosses
It was your previous reviews of Boss Monster that convinced me to get the game and it's been my favourite card game for well over a year now!
I can confirm that internally, we did call it Boss Monster 3.
I've been looking at Boss Monster for a while. Never pulled the trigger on it.
Now is the time my friend...now is the time.

I saw the first game at target and got it just to see if it was a good game it is a good game

Gonna need a bigger box. I have all my cards sleeved to keep them in good shape and protect them from the unforseen.
Is there any list of the cards? I want to see to know the list of cards before deciding if i want this expansion the whole miniexpansion/coin model doesn't convince me but i could get the expansion if see enough cards that are good to add to my boss monster collection.

Thanks, this was my question as well. About to play it for the first time with my family.
Are the mini bosses shuffled into the room deck??
So you could potentially go through a whole game and not get a mini-boss?

I want that T shirt!
I always win when I play with myself.

Do you know some retailers that Brotherwise uses to sell boss monsters the rise of the mini bosses?

Does any one know where he got that box for holding the boss monster cards?

I love BM2 but don't have any of the expansions, PLEASE tell me which ONE to get if i had to get one and why it's your favorite!? : )
My favourite too, do you have the tools of the trade expansion?

Is there a way to play boss monster solo?
When super boss monster releases
I own the first two and honestly never play them. Love the art style, kinda boring.
