This is an example of how much a good room adds to the over all performance. He goes even behind the speaker and vocals are still present within reverberation. When he sits in chair the fidelity is dope. Great system, cheers!
@@nickwilliams1065 A well-designed room can make even cheap components sound decent, just like a poorly designed room can make super expensive stuff sound like shit.

Outstanding configuration.... amazing sound! In my own experience to have the best gear doesn't mean that for sure it will sound great, but here we have a magic alchemy, congrats to Sound Sommelier, well done!
I daydream about someday being able to afford a system like that. You do not really need to spend a fortune to get awesome sound, though. I played the very same song from Tidal Master with my system and is was unbelievable! My setup: Denon DRA-800H stereo integrated amplifier, Technics SH-8017 graphic equalizer (an oldie), S.M.S.L M100 DAC, Elac Debut B6 bookshelf speakers, and Polk Audio PSW108 subwoofer.
totally agree with you bro!! I also played this song on my yamaha RXV685 and yamaha 555 for the purity of the experiment, the yamaha yst sw215 subwoofer is turned off the composition is played from Flac via bluetooth. So the sound of this composition, similar to this video, is also amazing))))! which confirms that it is the composition itself that guarantees the success of an amazing sound! on such systems! It is her tuning of this composition and the purity of the initial recording without introducing interference from a magnetic tape or record that will allow you to reproduce the entire list of selected frequencies by the sound engineer!)))
i believe you touched the mic at around 2:20 i could hear it over my speakers unless it was just part of the recording. impressed with the bass i heard in this recording over your system playing through mine. as always it was a pleasure cheers

Good! Except 2 odds: 1. 2:20 noise made by someone touching the recording mic? 2. 4:48-4:50 speaker cracked sound heard, i hope it is due to my earphone, not the original speaker
I guess they sound pretty good. I don't know... I fell asleep halfway through. Brought back memories of movies from the 1920s... Aside from that, it's really hard to get a real idea how good these sound from my cheap-azz laptop speaker. I'm sure they sound fantastic in person.
I have several Diana Krall albums including Girl In the Other room on SACD and have become less impressed with her vocals over time. This is one of her better songs IMO and sounds fantastic on this (I will never be able to afford) system.
Don’t give up hope Cliff. Eventually you will be able to commit to your passions whatever they are. It has taken a long long time but I now stand in a new world where I can commit and it feels great at the age of 62 to enjoy a dream that has escaped me for way to long. Hang in there and take care.

Yep. The mic on the recording is clipping or very close to it. Bad setup. The annoying overtones are more controlled with beryllium tweeters and make it more tolerable but they are still there. Nice song too bad about the crappy recording.
@@petarst I guess then your ears are pretty bad or you're listening to it with crappy cables and I've listened to both Sonus Faber and the monitor audio platinum and the platinum is way more three-dimensional and airy and spacious than SF but I do like SF very much as well but SF is not in the same league as monitor audio platinum and that MPD tweeter could never be bright unless the system is bright because this speaker is very neutral so it'll just show off everything that's coming through so if it was bright it's not the speaker it's either the cables or the equipment. and just to let you know my system is worth 72,000. What is Best ; B&W or Sonus?
Sonus without question. B&W is highly commercial and sounds dead / no musicality.

Where is the Chateau Lafite?
How much it will cost me to get this sound?
It'll cost you arm and leg and both kidneys too.
The speakers are around 17-18k euros and the amplifiers… another minimum 10k to blow this up…
I think the speakers are around $25,000 US, but the Sonus Faber Serafino Tradition are $38,995 US.
