I’m sorry to hear this! I have been affected the same, still job hunting. Lots of Ontario hospitals, agencies, clinics still require it. No chance of working in community or LTC. Starting to think will need to look outside of healthcare sadly.
My wife lost her job because the company she worked for was funded by the government. She was not a healthcare worker but they lumped her in as one. To make it worse they laid her off for lack of work and told her getting EI would be fine. 3 months later they filed a dismissal for misconduct and her EI was cut off and then sent a bill saying she has to pay back the EI she received. It destroyed our lives and have been living in poverty ever since. Put all the politicians and business owners that went along with this in jail.
2020 - 2022 I told my kids, "we suffer now, they will suffer way more later". We moved from Quebec. Now we are leaving Canada. Because you all don't seem to have eyes and ears. RN with 42 years of exxperience, Critical Care, ER and infection control. Worked all across the country, both hospitals and a stint in public health for AHS, DND and Health Canada. I talked my 16 yr old daughter out of being a nurse and I didn’t finish my schooling to be a clinical councillor- forgot that! It’s so corrupt. I am currently talking my 9yr old daughter out of being a Veterinarian. So sad to be doing this. Three of us in our family would have been serving our community in the health field if it wasn’t so corrupted by government
I too have two fam members who were going to be doing med school to become a surgeon and one become a cop but because of political corruption and forced autonomy decisions are now going into trades. What an amazing outcome for my two nephews 👏

I was successful to do it but it was in small workplace. It took 6 months and lot of time in labour court. Big union won’t be possible to decertify. There is a lot of people who believe that union helps you somehow.

The way boonie Henry worded her final comments. Was the mandates were being cancelled. But !!! And that’s a big but, all members of the health care still need to prove that all vaccines are up dated and will be put into a data base . So really BC is still under the mandates and or could use that against you. So in reality all members are put into this data back.
