A Ukrainian and Russian chilling together. I like it.
that's how it has been for a long time. Ukrainians are not all Bandera's lover
@@evbuzzi6749 Russians are not all Putin lovers*
@@evbuzzi6749She is clearly on the Ukrainian side and that's most likely also the reason why her parents wanted her to leave Russia.
The sad thing is, most people from both countrys would probably love to hang out together.
@@Oldman1985 that's how it has been for a long time.
I lived in Germany for 9 years. I didn't like it initially - as a Brit I am used to more relaxed connections to new people, but I learned fluent German - and still speak it - which made a huge difference Love Germany, I actually lived in Munich, great city. I have retired now and live in Thailand - I think half of Germany is here with me! I would agree with the comments, it's not so easy in the beginning to make friends, but once you break the ice it does become much easier. And speaking German is definitely a big plus. Really enjoyed the program!
we have the same last name ;)
love to you from german
Hello Maureen, may I inquire whereabouts in Thailand you live?My wife is from there and I will retire there too.
@@ralfmelchert2814 i live in Hua Hin, 3.hours south of Bangkok
I like the Ruhetag/Ruhezeit (quiet day/quiet time) and how Sunday's are meant for relaxing or spending time with family.
< The United States has many problems, but most of them lack clear solutions, so they remain unsolved problems. However, one major problem that has a clear solution, in my opinion, is the US tax code. Please note that this is not a general complaint against US taxes, on the contrary, I personally believe that as a US citizen we get a lot of benefit from the taxes we pay and the IRS does a pretty good job of keeping everything in order, but it's a rail against overly complex, convoluted and incredibly inconsistent laws about how taxes are calculated that are so riddled with loopholes and free passes that they have become a pervasive injustice to ordinary Americans.
< The solution: Throw away the tax code and come away with a much more simplified (but not necessarily different) tax system, mostly by removing most of the exemptions and exceptions that benefit very, very few. (In fact, although I'm no expert, I would estimate that 99% of the existing tax code does not benefit the 95% of taxpaying US citizens.)>>

Doesn't anyone notice that everyone speaks extremely good English?
bro, I am here to say that.
God damn it, I feel like even after learning English for many years, I wouldn't speak like that.
English is not a foreign language anymore. No one is impressed if you say you speak English.
in german we always say we can just speak a little bit because we think english dudes much better and then they say we so good
Well privileged upper class from their countries respectively...
English is either your native language or it’s not. And if it’s not your native language, it’s a foreign one.
I like your videos and as a German i find it very interesting to hear what other people who live in Germany think about us, and what they like here. I also think it`s great that we`ve become so international. And in my opinion , you don`t need to be shy about addressing German circles of friends, you quickly make contact there and accepted.☺💙
The picture and sound quality of your videos is simply stunning - thank you for that!
You ll get very different answers from city to city. Hamburg, Munich and Cologne would be quite different
I love this channel. Lots of laughs along the way
Really liking the voice and accent of the Tatarstan guy. His accent is like a true nice English one.
same lol i had to scroll back twice just to make sure haha
Cunning couple, they emphasized that they are from Republic of Tatarstan, hid the fact it is part of Russia Federation. But still, good luck to them, I would love to see more clever and intelligent people leave Ruzzia forever.
@@andriibakhtiozin4477I’d say Tatar people normally introduce themselves like this a lot, the Tatar identity is quite strong and a lot of times very different from the Russian one. But the guy’s accent, omg, he must have studied in the UK or something, that’s not the accent you get in a Slavic country even if you study very well
@@chiaravertucci So true! A lot of people don't know that Russia actually has 120 ethnic groups. Tatars are one of them. We have a different language that sounds like Turkish and a different religion. Although the republic is within Russia, it has a culture that differs from the rest of Russia.
Damn man I've been binging your content all weekend and just finished a previous one to get this FRESH one popped into my feed and also GOD DAMN new camera is looking good, audio and video production upgrade. All power to you :) !
your videos always have such an great vibe, like it!
I think Germany needs to improve their administrative services in general and embrace technology a little more in that sense. It does not really need a huge amount of effort and can improve life quality very much!
Thank You for this video.
I love the dude from London, he is fun. 😄 Please open up a pub together!
I have so much respect for the guy from Tatarstan. Because not many people say they're from certain parts of russian federation and not just 'russia'.
foreigners: want germans to stop talking in english so they can learn german / want more ways to learn german
the german girl: translate everything to english
😂
@yourtruebrit would be nice, when you go to other cities here in Germany, to see a other persective. In my eyes bavarians are very traditional and conservative. Maybe you go to the Ruhrgebiet, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg etc.. Nice videos btw.
I find Ruhr region very interesting place to visit. Also many universities with international students
I think Munich is a good choice for that video, because there is a big difference between Munich as a big city, and the typical Bavarian from the countryside, that you are probably thinking of. I know both very well, I grew up on the countryside and think that Munich can represent the German average pretty well. By the way, munich is ruled by SPD for decades (still sadly not by the green party 😅)
Hey you true Brit, I truly love your interviews, because my ex wife hates it here in Cologne (her only reason to stay is our boy). So the good impact on me is, that overall the views on Germans are very balanced in Pros and Cons and all those shades in between and .... all these beautiful people appear basically happy, which is very touching to me as a German. And allo of this iswill be so much more positively teaching my son on our and whatever culture - than the prejedice of his mother.
So why dont you come to Cologne at do your thing here? I would assume you get quite s different response in Cologne compared to Munich, and you will also meet quite an international crowd. I will be happy to show you around a little bit.
Cheers, Martin
Wait a moment, if someone doesn’t like it in Germany you call it prejudice? I‘m in a similar situation, or opposite if you want to. Believe me, if I had prejudice it was only postive (Germans know how to sell themselves well) but my experience changed everything. For me the worst cons: the health system, jugendamt, public transport (really pricy and the trains aren‘t reliable at all), food quality is not really top notch and for me the weather. Really cold winters for my taste. It is not a major problem but it‘s more corrupt than I thought.
The positives is that you do get decent wages, although ordinary jobs are badly paid considering the cost of life. I like the cycling tracks and the way drivers respect cyclists. Going to work by bike is not that uncommon and it’s the part of Germany I like. Another pro for me is that they do at least try more than other countries to keep the planet as clean as possible. The Pfand system is cool and makes everyone recycle plastic. Overall I wasn’t really happy there in Frankfurt.
I'm so relieved to hear that we have a bit less corruption than Tatarstan.
love your content, but you should do sth about your german😉🖤💯
some huge plus points are the health system, and if you lose your job you will not have fear about your existance, you will get back up from the goverment. which i really appreciate in Germany, and i think that 2 points let alone make Germany a great place to live in.
That’s bullshit. The health insurance doesn’t work. I live in Germany i have tk
@@danield7789 wh y is it not working
One point: when shaking hands it's like with the 'prost' in Germany. You should look at people directly and not half into the camera :-) That's a no go. Interesting content and always love to see those reactions and points of view of people from different cultural background.
I think he can be forgiven for demonstrating the outgoing and warm traits of his personality, especially as a foreigner...
New years is not just fireworks on the street. It's way worse. For a few days the regulations on certain explosives are just dropped. The injuries with those spike like crazy around those days. Regular supermarkets will just sell fireworks to everyone for a few days before. Our statistics confirm that this is about as dangerous as you would assume.
7:44 a russian says she is proud of our country, couldnt imagine germans saying that
12:17 i wore those type of jacket in the 90`s...top XD
A friend of mine also wears such a „retro“ jacket, and it’s actually one from his father. It’s cool that this fashion trend is by accident also sustainable
Lived 5 years at 3 different times (2011-2018). Loved the bakeries, fresh produce and meats, plethora of hiking trails, respectful neighbors, (mostly) good roads, great and inexpensive beer, efficient railways, history, beautiful landscapes, and the 'live and let live' attitude of locals. Oh, and the festivals! Germans know how to party.
I like how he prefers to say Tartarstan rather than Russia.
Why do you like it 😂
Schönes Video! 👍🏻🤩
Der Italiener ist gerne hier und mag uns anscheinend wirklich gerne 😅😍
Interesting videos, but how about putting some subtitles when they speak german?
With love to my Munich friends, Munich is kinda the capital of "spießig". They do have the best beer tho. Would love to hear the responses of folks in Leipzig, Berlin or Hamburg in comparison.
Aber nicht spiessiger als 95% von Deutschland. Da sind die von dir genannten Städte die Ausnahmen.
Its interesting to hear the accent and where they are from and when the accents dont fit you hear like where they learned english hahah
Yes, I agree. We need more Fish n Chips. And we also need tacos and to be less spießig.
Hey mate, what camera and microphone do you use for your videos? They are fantastic, keep them coming!
Yeah it was an accident how it happened. We was supposed to shot a behind the scenes we had two cameras at the time. So our A cam is the a7s3 then B cam is the canon m50 we ideally want the black magic pocket 6k for a b-cam a lot of it is do to our post production ;)
@@yourtruebrit sweet cheers dude. I'm in the process of making a few myself (on slightly different topics to this), and I always hold my shoots up to yours as the benchmark for quality.
One tip I would say check the day light. We decided to use a Polarizing Filter. Although we took it off some shots which we should have kept it on. It got rid of super light, and kept the tones neutral when grading 😅. But yeah it’s also my other job in video adverts 😂. But yeah feel free to send me your work ;)
mach ich nie :)
You should come to zürich and ask the people about switzerland :)
Yes, brilliant idea!! Although Swissies always have a bit of a grudge against Big Brother Germany, it all seems so familiar: the safety, the burocracy, the distant people....
12:22 Sounded like Bosnia Guy said "Give a bit more resources on relocation and the RIGHT PEOPLE with moving in". Is that right?
No, the muted word was probably his phone number so that was taken out 🙃
the russian parents where like: "We love you therefor you have to go to a better place, until things get better here" Kinda heartbreaking because I think she misses her family and friend, but russia is not the place to be at the moment
same with most countries even in developing countries like Philippines. even though we don't have war. it is still a sacrifice to be made
russia was never a place to be, throughout history it was attacking neighbors and disrespecting lives of own citizens.
15:36 Did you just say " Meine Arsche ist stark"? 😂 I absolutely loved your attempts at speaking German! Suggestion: You could add English subtitles when someone is speaking in German.
Dankeschön!
@geranienbaum Aaah
13:06 I can't agree with that. Why change everything for foreigners? After all, they are coming to your country. If a German goes to the U.S., can he argue that they are not open-minded because their street signs are not in German? No, of course not... Germany is a very open country and tolerates a lot of cultures and people from other countries. To say that Germans have to adapt their rules and culture for foreigners is very disrespectful. Sadly, many young Germans have this mentality because they are not taught that being German is not a bad thing. These people mostly give up being German to please others. That is why German patriotism is so weak.
Exactly! I feel like we are so accommodating to foreigners, even at our own expense. You'd be hard pressed to find a country with better social benefits and living conditions for foreigners, and she expects us to do away with our language as well? A language is part of a country's identity; the very nature and composition of a language determines how a person thinks! Perhaps Germany's culture and success in modern times can even be partially attributed to the mindset the language instills upon it's inhabitants. The language of thinkers and poets should be forgotten simply because social media has taken the world by storm and instated English as the world language? I think not. English should remain the world language for all I care, but not at the expense of a country's local language. 👍
@@cedriczwiebel4873 I agree. Greetings from Oldenburg.
I guess Germany is still losing competition for talented skilled immigrants. Language and bureaucracy make it less attractive compared to UK, Canada, USA, Australia. To get a working visa in Germany u have to pass a language test, I would say why not let a skilled worker to pass the language test for example in a year or two to extend the visa. Worker already passed the interview, The company paid a lot of money to the government to be certified to issue a working visa. It's easier to learn a language when u are living in a country already. English is more than enough at least for the start.

I don’t get what the German girl said. Why should the German street names be in English?
You found the laddest of English lads in Munich. Didn't expect that.
Are there are still Bavarians in Munich as well?
A note on etiquette, in Germany you greet and say good by to the lady first, then the gentleman. Shake hands first with the women, then men. You did it consistently the other way around.

Wow
I have now a english dude in class and i very like him
13:06 eventhough I think we should be more open minded to other cultures i dont think we should translate EVERYTHING into english ...
As a German I think we have a very good mixture.
It is not all about "freedom" like in the USA. We have also a social system.
It is not a super public transportation like in Switzerland, but it is good.
It is not the best education like in Finland or South Korea, but a very good one, that is for free.
We have a good mixture in democracy, not nearly perfect linke in Scandinavia, but also nut the choice between two parties.
We are not a typical immigration country, but we have lots of people from abroad since the 50th, 60th, etc. and we don't want to miss, the Dönerladen, Pizzeria, Greek, Indian, Vietnamese or Sushi-Restaurants.
And while we stick to the German language, that is actually very easy to understand when spoken (probably not easy to learn for everybody), today alle people younger than 40 years also speak at least a bit of English.
Sometime foreigner complain about Germans, that quickly change to English to help in the conversation, but the foreigners couldn't improve there German skills.
Of course, Germans are very honest, sometimes brutally honest.
"Dear, does this new dress looks nice?"
"No, it does not!"
Only ask, if you want to have the Germans opinion.
And Germans always like to complain, what keeps us making things better, but very often looks like, that nothing is good.
German: "The train is always late! Look at Switzerland!"
American: "Oh, wow, you have a so good public transport all over the country, with train stations, everywhere!"
I don't know how well these people in video speak German but their English is quite good.
German is very difficult people prefer to speak English instead.
1:27 The Republic of Tatarstan isn't a country, but a part of Russia.

'Baked' Beans like the ones we eat today are an English colonial invention that instead of eating beans baked as per the style of native Americans, which really were baked, they are steam cooked in sauce, and it is quite 'modern' to have them as part of a full English breakfast. The USA started commercialised canned 'baked beans' and exported them as a delicacy to the English victuallers, Fortnum & Mason in 1886. By 1901 they were exported to the UK in high volume and were cheap. The recipe in the UK was tweaked to be less sweet and was adopted into being eaten with breakfast. In WW2 the little sausages were removed during rationing.
I loathe them. Yuck. No one is ruining my delicious traditional English breakfast with them!!!!

„Free Education“ yeah maybe for you but not for people who work here. Someone is paying for everything „free“. Germany has the highest taxes in the western world so yeah, nothing free here buddies.

I am planning to start the university in Germany in september if I get accepted by the Technical University of Munich, hopefully. 🇩🇪
It's true that Munich is such an expensive city but I just love it as a city and the the dynamic that it gives you is just amazing!
Not only the excellent world renowned universities, but also the companies that have offices in Munich attract me to move there!!❤🇩🇪
Often you just go where you get accepted, especially if you're not from EU. Some people also get scholarships.

i wonder why this "tatarian" guy said racism is a big problem in germany while all this people over the world can study and work here and enjoy there life...should look at his "tatarian" country............buy ey, i love your videos :)
I'm from Munich but studied abroad and never returned. I was active in a German internet group for young parents and noticed subtle racism that often goes unnoticed to the locals. E.g. some mothers were suggesting ways to avoid sending their kids to schools with many kids with "foreign" surnames, because they assumed those kids don't speak proper German. Or they would suggest my Greek husband of course was corrupt and avoiding to pay taxes. That's actually one reason I refused to move to Germany when the economic crisis hit us hard here and my husband wanted us to move. I didn't want my children to be treated like foreigners and my husband like a suspect.
Because there is racism in Germany and he’s probably been on the receiving end of bigots like yourself.
@@helgaioannidis9365 So they don't have the right to choose their childrens' school, or even talk about it?
@@martins917 they have the right to choose. They even have the right to be racists, I'm just not willing for my family to play the victim for them.
The "Germans don't have humor"-stereotype comes mostly from uneducated Americans who over estimate their ability to speak/understand German and then blame their lack of understanding on others. That's what I found out. It's the Dunning-Kruger effect, you overestimate your ability because the competence to judge you ability is just as lacking. Especially combined with cultural ignorance. Slight oversimplification:
They expect humor to equal "lowest common denominator slapstick". So when it's not that, it's bad.
If you think word for word translation makes you good at a language then that's the start of the problem. Grammar, common idioms etc are easily just as important. Not knowing those makes vocabulary close to useless, that's why auto translate is often so bad.
To live in germany must be mental offside.
