- We have covered the Qur'an in past episodes before. But due to new and exciting ongoing research, especially coming out of Germany, we have had to re-assess where the holy book of Islam actually came from, how it was written, by whom, and in what language.
According to the Standard Islamic Narrative, the Qur'an has always existed in heaven. Surah 85:21-22 supports this view.
The SIN then states that the Qur'an was first written down by both Abu Bakr in 632 AD (see Al Bukhari, vol. 6:509), and later by Uthman in 652 AD (see Al Bukhari, vol. 6:510), and this time in the 'Quraishi' Arabic dialect. So, it is clear from the SIN perspective the earliest 7th century Qur'an was in Arabic, and only in Arabic.
Yet, that isn't what the latest research on the Qur'an is now telling us.

To add to his letters, Paul also wrote his ridiculous and fictional diary called the book of Acts. Only those that do not belong to Paul in the New Testament are the 4 make-believe gospels and the dream of Fantasy of John which he deceptively labeled it as the book of Revelations.

Once you start reading the Hebrew and Greek, and you see what massive leaps any "translation" of the bible takes to hop into English, I understood how bent out of shape conservative "translation committees" have become in order to keep the accessible bible leaned heavily toward their aims, goals and power structures,the tomb was discovered by different witnesses on four different occasions, so it is in fact impossible to argue that the discrepancies were introduced by different witnesses of the one event; rather, they can be explained as four different redactions for apologetic and kerygmatic reasons of a single story originating from one source.
Matthew wrote.. the risen Jesus met the disciples only on a mountain in Galilee, but Luke says.. he met them at a meal in Jerusalem on the very evening of his resurrection, after which he took them on the road to Bethany, where he rose bodily to heaven. Meanwhile, John’s was loosely based on Luke but contains elaborations of Luke’s account, including two meals in Jerusalem and a later meeting by the Sea of Galilee. Mark originally ended his story at verse 16:8, with no evidence of the risen Jesus.. scholars have concurred that the ‘Long Ending’ verses 16:9-20, which corrobate somewhat with Luke’s account, was added much later.

Luke's infancy narrative is not only massively different from Matt's, but also in details, e.g., about Joseph and Mary's home (in Bethlehem in Matt 2:11; in Nazareth in Luke 2:4-7, with no home in Bethlehem) and about their travels after the birth of Jesus (to Egypt in Matt 2:14; to Jerusalem and Nazareth in Luke 2:22,39)Let us be neutral and look at this objectively, without Bias and without any racism. Without pre-conceptions. Completely neutral with our intellectual cup the right side up, because if it was upside down, nothing, no matter how profound, will go into the intellectual cup. Question: Did you ever question yourself that the Gospels by Mark, Luke, Matthew, and John have no last names? In court or in your passport or driving license, do you not have your last name? How valid is a document without any last name to give it validity? Second: Jesus spoke Aramaic. The name for God in Aramaic is Elah. Please look it up. Muslims say Allah. Third: Did the mother of Jesus or Jesus himself claim he is god or the son of god? Fourth: Muslims love Jesus and Mother Mary more than lip-service Christians. Why? @@lufhopespeacefully2037 I am not a scholar but I know enough that much of what you said can be explained. For one, Christians are fully aware the Gospels differ, they never declared anything else. Through careful analysis its been shown they are fairly early writings after Jesus departed. I believe you have it wrong about the translations and first language used to write them. Also there are early copies of the Gospels and old testemant in existence that show it remains at least in the form it was written for at least 1800 years and that different copies do not differ from that time. I hope someone else will comment who can back up what I have said in more precise detail.

How to make Allah's kitab (Qur'an)
*Ingredients:*
1. Verses-fed Aisha's goat's mutton - 2kg
2. Sabean book Ginza Rabba - 1 kg
3. Manichean/Nestorian/Mervian cult Aramaic lectionary or Keriana (translated by Waraqah ibn Nawfel) - 2 handfuls
4. Christian /Jewish Apocrypha & Fairy Tales (translated by Waraqah ibn Nawfel) - 2 handfuls
5. Teachings from Zoroastrianism (includes Arda Viraf's night journey on Barag to heaven to meet his god) - 1 cup
6. Jewish Talmud (5 - this must be crushed and made into puree)
7. Mohammad's hallucinations and shaytan's interventions - 5 table spoons
8. Hatred against other religions - 4 handful thinly sliced into 4 parts.
9. Mohammad's self interest - 2 teaspoon
10. Epic of Gilgamesh - 1 teaspoon
11. Shehimo prayer stolen from Syrian Orthodox Christians - 1/2 teaspoon
12. Al Feter copied from Harranian Sabeans - 1 teaspoon
13. Hindu Manusmrithi (purity by sand), to taste - as needed
14. Poems of Imrul Qais, to taste - as needed
*Preparation:* Chop verses-fed mutton from Aisha's goat into medium size pieces. Slice Sabean Ginza Rabba into small pieces. Pour the Manichean/Nestorian cult literature Keriana and Christian/Jewish Apocrypha and Fairy Tales into it and saute. Then pour the Teachings from Zoroastrianism into it and bring to boil. Keep this aside. In another pan, fry the Talmud and Mohammad's hallucinations as well as the rest of the ingredients, except Al Feter and Shehimo prayer. Take the Syrian Orthodox Christian Shehimo prayer and make it into the *first 6 lines* of the 'Al Fatiha' and add. Now knead the above into dough and flatten it into a book form. Add Al Feter copied from the Sabeans and rename it as 'Ramdan'. Take 700 copies of different wordings and burn all but 1. Then cut it into several pieces and place in front of a table fan. Now switch the fan at full power, ensuring all pieces are well scattered. Now turn off the fan and scoop up all the bits and bind it onto a book. Start at 96th Chapter and end at 5th Chapter, verse 3. Make 9 copies and later 21 more of different wordings.
For those of you who like dips, use never-pregnant Aisha's breast milk, whipped cream 😋, cucumber 🥒 and 7 Ajwa dates from "🌴 grown on the wayside".

You talk about the book of Revelation that it is a "make belief" (that's *your* personal opinion)
You say "the 4 gospels are actually not gospels (without explaining what you actually mean, it's also empty statement ;-) (by the way, Gospel means "Good News", and let me tell you: walking daily with Jesus (who is still alive, as islamic faith says), the same Jesus that worked out (many) miracles, that is born of a virgin, that lived a life without sin, walking with Him is AMAZING and real good news ! It's not about religion! It's about a restored relationship with the Giver of Life. It's about God blowing His Life in us. It's about New Life. That is truly good news ! (by the way, Jesus told in his "biography" ;-) to obey His commands, so the Gospel isn't just a story of Jesus' life. It's about Jesus telling us how to live)
and your statement about the Old Testament vs New Testament isn't true. You need to explain what you mean. (The New Testament is the continuity of the Old Testament. The Old Testament contains at least 300 prophecies about Jesus. Jesus himself quotes the Old Testament and says not a single letter of the "law and prophets" (talking about the Old Testament) would be changed, but that He (Jesus) had come to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17).

I'd like to know why Islam reads a Quran written by Hafs, 150yrs after Mohammed and nowhere near Mecca, when they had many other Qurans written before Hafs and a lot closer to Mecca.

This is very interesting so far. I am a Christian pastor, but find the history of Islam fascinating. I know the first 2 centuries after Mohammad was called the "dark" years because of the lack of writings. What is interesting to me is that what litle evidence is available, it is believed that Christians and Jews lived in relative peace with each other during this time (under muslim control). During this time the Hadiths did not exist. Leads me to believe the Islamic faith during this time was very different than what is practiced today. (The first century Christianity was practiced very different from today also.)

It is still my understanding the Hadiths were not recorded until a couple centuries after Mohammad and are not scripture as the Koran is believed to be. Although I would like to assume they are accurate recordings of the faith's practice, do we know that they are? For instance, we believe the Bible to be scripture. Scripture is by definition divine and infallible. However we have other writings from the early centuries. Although we find them helpful, we cannot treat them as scripture and must assume they are fallible.
While I have your attention, I would like understanding on a couple items.
1. You place (saw) after Mohammad. I assume that is some form of respect, but I don't know what it means.
2. The belief that Mohammad was without sin. Is that based on the Koran or something else. Is there a Koranic scripture that points to it?

Hadiths are mainly practices (Sunnah) of Mohammad (saw) which he taught his
10 000 disciples/companions - these companions taught their students the Tabi-ien and they in turn taught theirs, the Tabi-ien-Tabi-ien.
Their Testimonies makes the Hadith and each Testimony must have trustworthy narrators to the source (Mohammad (saw)) and this chain of narrators are called the Isnad.
Scholars classified these Hadiths as Sahih (trustworthy) or Daif if the chain is broken or Fabricated,...Also ALL hadiths MUST be according to the Quranic teachings in order to be accepted by Muslims.
HADITH COLLECTORS
like Bukhari, Abu Dawood, Muslim and others COLLECTED these Testimonies or Reports (meaning of hadith) 150 - 200 years AFTER Mohammad (saw). They, these HADITH COLLECTORS DID NOT WRITE or invent these hadiths as Jay misleads his viewers - they RECORDED it as it was preached and practiced since the time of Mohammad (saw).
Another misconception is that Mohammad (saw) made-up Islam which is not true - Mohammad (saw) COMPLETED the ONLY religion created by God since the time of creation and from ALL the Prophets.
Earlier hadiths were written just after Mohammad (saw) death) but the BULK was written down 150 - 200 yrs later because Mohammad (saw) forbid his companions to write it down as the Quran was not completed yet and said that it would be mixed with the Quran as what happened to the Jews and Xtians - as the Quran is Purely the Word of God and not Mohammad (saw).

This is done for one simple reason, respect and is done to all Prophets but not compulsory.
2) All Prophets sinned except Jesus and God forgave their sins in their lifetime.
Remember, Jesus SUBMITTED TO THE WILL OF THE FATHER and that is the definition of Islam.
He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine." (Matthew 26:39 )

I also impressed that you have read the book of Matthew. Best compilation of Jesus teachings. (When I read the Koran, it gave a good deal of praise to Christ, but was short on his teachings). Matthew was a disciple of Jesus and recorded his teachings. So you don't have to believe they are scripture to believe they are an accurate recording. The fact that it records the crucifixion is expected since the Koran states that Jesus was not crucified, but that they thought they did. (paraphrased) FYI, I have preached that the ancient Hebrews closely resembled modern Muslims.

There is no doubt the Quran compilation in Arabic started during & after the reign of Abd-al-Malik (685-705AD).
The Arabs translated Syriac Christian homilies, lectionaries and sermons to compile the Quran.

If Islam was really established and originated later than the Quaran claims ie 2 centuries later then what were these early Mosques and who were the people that worshipped in them? It is refreshing to see research now catching up with discrediting the Qu'an complementing the research that has been discrediting the Bible for so many decades.
Look at the latest research on the Bible and you will note that rather than discrediting the Bible as you assume, it is proving just how accurate it was in detailing the historical life of Jesus, what he did and what he said. This cannot be said of the Qur'an, unfortunately.

I am familiar with the much of the current research on the bible which generally supports (but does not confirm) that an historical Jesus existed and was executed. But that’s all for what can be agreed in respect of historical accuracy. The blatant inconsistencies found in the stories of NT are well documented serving as a clear and unambiguous indication of its unreliable historical accuracy. Indeed what research does reveal is that much of nascent Christianity simply incorporated a repackaging of earlier pagan mythology.
There is no way to confirm the sayings attributed to Jesus in the NT. Mohammed hears voices in a cave, Paul has visual hallucinations. Hmmmm.
Mark is generally recognized as the earliest gospel written in Greek in the early 70’s CE by an unknown author in an unknown country. The gospels are based on stories passed on over a few generations in different countries by oral tradition with no way at all to assess how much the stories had been changed and distorted over the decades before being documented. Not to mention that there were numerous other gospels in circulation at the time with different competing versions of what Jesus was and what Jesus did that didn’t get to be arbitrarily selected over the first few centuries after the death of Jesus eventually becoming officially sanction canon. Just as there were many Qurans to choose from in the early days of Islam, there were many gospels to choose from in the early days of Christianity.

I hope you continue with this work and manage to open the eyes of Muslims to the insane indoctrination to which they have been subjected. But making a case for the credibility of the Quran and making a case for the credibility of the NT consists in essentially committing the same logical fallacy, namely confirmation bias. How I earnestly wish that there is now an ORIGINAL ARAMAIC GOSPEL because I am dying inside to read it. I hope there is a translation in English. It's hard to read it in its original form in Aramaic. I don't know that language. I think Aramaic is much harder to read than Arabic. I believe that this Gospel is a book of spiritual guidance from God.
