NFS, SMB, & Multipath (Linux+ Objective 1.3.5)

Mounting remote filesystems is a pretty common task for a system administrator. In this video we cover several network filesystems, plus we talk about iSCSI using Multipath!
(I actually learned a ton about multipath when prepping for this video, and it was more fun than I expected!)

Does the multipath connection use both paths simultaneously or is one path a backup? I noticed at one point it showed one path as active and the other as enabled so I’m guessing it’s the latter…?

you should bench all the various netfs - cifs, samba, nfs, ocfs2, sshfs and also test tem on various fs, people really want and need redundancy - they want 2 nas with mirrored shares

I think the reason that CIFS uses the // to identify the start of your server path is because that's how you tell Windows that the path you're going to is on a networked location like when mapping a shared drive.
