  • Is buying expensive Begleris worth it?

A begleri is a skilltoy, consisting of 2 beads and 1 string, it's used by many people worldwide, and it's usually used for doing tricks.
I decided to compare/review a cheap begleri with a more pricey begleri and see what differences they had, and maybe find out if it's worth it to upgrade. I think the 40$ one is the best out of those 2, but it's definitely more pricey, so it all depends on if have 40$ to spend.
I have a video on my channel with some begleri tricks: • 5 EASY BEGINNER BEGLER...
40$ begleri is from here (I was not paid to use this begleri)
    mfdyoyo.com/begleri/
Make sure to subscribe to my channel if you want to see more of my content, I create a bunch of different videos.

    DEEPER COMPARISON:
    - the shape MFD use is much more complex to machine. This complicated shape is alot more expensive to produce.
    - this particular shape forces the build of the weight to the bottom of the belgeri lowering the centre of gravity. That gives a much heavier feel on the cord when you flipping.
    - the hole in the begleri is threaded. this makes it easer for the customer to use larger diameter cords making it easier for them to be strung. The begleri support cord sizes of 275, 350, and 550 other manufacturers don’t do that.
    - research and development into the horizontal grooves. This are not just for looks, they are there to help protect your begleri from drops and smashes.
    - We have also developed our own sized o-rings that come in multiple colours giving the customer the ability to customize the product when they get it home.
    - anodizing, we put allot of time and pride ourselves on our very unique anodizing. the only company that produced such crazy colours and different combinations for customers to choose from.
    - The hole in the bottom of the begleri is standardized to allow for our weight system (monkeyBARs) to be used on all our begleri. The customer can now choose what weight they want to use by adding different sized MonkeyBARs to the bottom of their begleri.
    - The custom box is fitted with cut out foam allowing the Belgeri to shipped and stored damage free.
    - each box contains 3 sticker in some cases more.

i think people were interested in knowing about the weight comparison, the length of the string, if it holds or if the beads come off and such like. the beads quality isn't such a big factor compared to the things i mentioned in my opinion

I made one with paradors and some spare wrench sockets I had in my toolbox. They are the perfect shape for feeding a knot one-way and have a great weight to them.

    Pro Greek here:
I buy one that looks similar to the "1$ Μπεγλέρι" that you mention. Νever held a 40$ one. He's my tip:
    1. Immediately ditch the cheap plastic fake string and put on paracord. Instantly you've added value and it feels better/doesn't chafe your fingers.
    2. Find a suitable length. I have a standard. The μπεγλέρι must stretch from the tip of my middle finger to the base of my palm. That's where it feels most comfortable for me. Find a "standard" for you and you'll be fine.
    3. Change the string when it's worn out.
    4. It costs a buck. Buy a few so even if you forgot to grab it from the table before leaving, you have one in your bag.
    5. MOST IMPORTANT: There are different kinds of 1$ ones. Different cuts, different castings, slightly different designs (once bought one with one large bead and one short one. Don't judge me I was drunk). Make SURE you buy a heavy one.
Lastly: Malakes steal these. Don't give them to others.
idk, this concept that people would buy expensive metal μπεγλέρια seems absurd to me. The proper expensive ones are the ones with silver beads, or hand crafted out of horn, amber, etc.

I'm interested in the difference of the weights on the two. Is the $1 lighter than the $40 one? Could that be why the $1 one doesn't sling as well?

    I'll help you out:
Do you make above average wage?
    - If yes, buy nice things
    - If no, buy cheap but reliable things.
A begleri won't ever break down, so just pick any design you like and it'll last a lifetime. Or get two Hex nuts and a piece of string to try it out. I still use this after a couple of years. got a colorful bracelet so it looks nice, and it's a cheap improvised self-defense weapon that I can throw at a thug and use the time to run away. In my country we have cheap labour so I recently asked a metal Lathe worker for quotes on a few different designs I want. Still way less expensive than these premium version, I'm making them custom, the way I want to, AND I'm supporting local businesses. With UHMWPE cord which will last longer than me.
