Absolutely Toprak, is both the Superpol race and the 2nd. It was the best in the race. How sad it was to take the race to the end by taking the leader and losing it on the last straight!

Corner, on both races Bautista passed on the last corner
Toprak didn't win the race but his relentless effort to push the limits and beyond displayed that he is a champion. It's a shame that we can not see a talented driver like him on a competitive Superbike or MotoGP bike.. Alvaro on the other hand could also just relax and drive 2nd position home. He chose to attack and fight for the win. Of course he and his Ducati are a beast on the straight, but he could use it to his advantage. The grip and drive he generated out of the last corner/sector was not only a Ducati thing. Props and respect to both riders! Let's hope BMW can provide Toprak the necessary tools so we have a lot of nice fights for the championship!

Had rea and Lowes not crashed they would probably keep Bautista busy at the back longer. Also Yamaha better focus on recorder and piano business. I am so glad Toprak has moved from this PoS to BMW.

I don't think so, because Jonathan Rea’s level is gradually declining due to his advanced age. Only the duo Toprak and Alvaro will dominate the race undisputed. Toprak was greatly betrayed by the Yamaha engine in the straight lines, while he remained brilliant in the curves, except for the last curve because He was under pressure and made an insufficient braking error. As for Bautista, he benefited greatly from the power of the Ducati engine in the straight lines. The duo reminds me of Valentino Rossi vs Casey Stoner.
@@mustaphamimoune1837 Keep in mind that 1) Bautista is 2.5 yeras older than Rea if i am not mistaken. 2) Every single last corner consistently the same thing happened. There was nothing Raz could do. 3) Bau is like 15 kgs lighter than Raz. So Rea is still a very good rider. I believe had he not crashed his existence in the front of Bau might allow Raz to save a few hundred ms for the last corner.

The Yamaha's crossplane crank gives it an advantage over the Kawasakis when it comes to tire wear. That may be one reason why Rea is leaving.

Honda is probably the second most powerful bike on the grid, how come Bautista (noone, tbh) accomplished nothing with it? Why isn't Toprak going there? HP don't make you win championships, or Ducati would heve been winning in MotoGP since 2005/6 and without Alvaro in WSBK.
Bautista was also the runner-up in a 250 cc World Championship but, according to you two geniuses, he doesn't have the skills... SMFH.
@@regulus6936 i don't care about the revs, all I say is that that thing is way faster than all other bikes on a straight line. You bike might be good at cornering but you still need a lot of skill and confidence to even attempt such cornering speeds.. Braking so late and taking the corner while still sliding is freaking scarry and takes a lot of skill to achieve. One little mistake and you are done. On the other hand your opponent got this rocketship which erases all the gain you achieved through so many corners and even puts him in front of you. Either others have to make better bikes or ducati needs to be regulated.. we don't care. As fans all we need is real competition, skills making the biggest difference not the machines winning the day. Same goes for f1.. People are going nuts about Max.. nobody worries about why didn't he win any title earlier? Howcome Ham was a driving god and max wasn't even close.. howcome all of a sudden ham became just another driver on the grid and max became the champ who is winning every race? People clearly see that the car is making the biggest difference, driver skills isn't even half as much important as the car at that level, yet they are all mumbling a bunch of bs about best drivers, skills and what not. At f1 level given the best car by a big margin, anyone is a badass. Then ppl go "oh if it was like that why bottas or perez can't win the title? Because they are there to support the nr 1 driver, they aren't as good which doesn't mean that someone else couldn't win if they had that car. For example, instead of bottas, what if lec was in the merc? instead of perez what if alonso was in that car? How was ric in the same car as max? How many crashes and dnfs did max cause? none of that matters to most ppl. They just look at it and go.. " max is at a whole another level.. ". This is the same bs.. we are watching amazing stuff through out the lap and then ducati just turns it upside down on a straight. Can we get fkn real?
You gotta give props to Ducati/Alvaro combo too, they made this work, and boy does it work! Motorsports is like this, one team will have "unfair" dominance with some innovation, the rest will have to follow, until the next leap..more v4 bikes will come into the picture, I read that Honda is preparing one, and a new chinese manufacturer..let's see..Toprak is all great and stuff yeah I agree, but you gotta give props where it's due..
Hopefully the bimmer has a bit more straight line speed, Toprak deserves more power, he's defensless against that red monster. I hope Yamaha engineers are working on improving that engine for Johnny too, cus he too won't be able to suddenly make the bike go faster on a straight
The Yamaha was faster on the straights than the Ducati this weekend. Same as the Honda that was faster. Main advantage point is the acceleration and Alvaro on the Ducati he understands that bike to the fullest just like Toprak and JR

Some of the comments are hilarious. AB19 is a brilliant racer with the best bike in the paddock. Toprak is an alien because no rider has taken the fight to Ducati quite like TR54. If you say AB19 is a better rider just look how late TR54 brakes and stops and turns his Yamaha in turn one…AB19 just sits and opens the gas…TR54 won on Kawasaki too, AB19 did not win in anything but Ducati. The Honda is far from developed when he raced it. But in the same breath TR54 won on a privateer Kawasaki not a KRT factory bike…

Bautista is clearly the reason Ducati is winning so often right now. Every other Ducati rider only gets on the podium on their good weekends while Alvaro wins by miles.
