One thing I'll definitely give to season 4 is that it really doesn't beat around the bush so you'll likely get the answers that you want sooner than later as the entire season is only 10 episodes. In that sense, it really reminds me of the first season of Lucifer which had a similar number of episodes (13, I believe)
I don't have a problem with Chloe's reaction in the previous video, especially given everything that's happened to her (divorce, Palmetto Street, Lucifer, Pierce, Charlotte's murder, Lucifer being the Devil). As a writer myself, I have to be careful when writing a character acting out of character. This can happen in many ways, and being in an extremely unusual situation is a common mechanism for this. I believe Chloe was in such a situation (for her), and she didn't know how to react. Okay, now to shut up and get back to the reaction . . .
Re: Your reaction about the production this season, RIGHT ON! I felt that way too. It's like the Netflix team just doesn't get the characters or their dynamic.
I completely agree with your take on Chloe, they sometimes make the weirdest choices. Still, quirks and all, I can’t help but love the show. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of it! Happy 2025!
YES! I’m finally actually eating/drinking something while watching :) I am having a coffee and walnut cake slice with some fresh cream. To driiink… coconut water + lemon and lime bitters with some thyme 😍. So ready to watch this reaction!
03:26 Well, I showed my age when you said that... When you said "Beauty and the Beast" my first thought was the old TV show from 1987 with Ron Perlman as the beast(Vincent)!🤣
Well I suppose it's understandable that a writer would frame their view of another's story by how they might do it... But Chloe freaking out is not inconsistent with her persona up to now, she is rather bland and keeps her emotions in check. But someone who suppresses their emotions would be subject to an outburst if the situation were as life altering as an atheist suddenly witnessing proof of the divine... or that someone you fell in love with is actually the devil. And without any spoilers, you may see why the writers took this tack as this season unfolds.... Chloe was terrified, and her rash actions when she was manipulated by Father Kinley, hurt Lucifer, but she saw through that and is trying to come around. Things are tangled and disjointed, but these many threads seemingly going off on tangents will coalesce into... Argh, it is so hard to try to make a point without spoilers.. just continue your very entertaining and amazing reactions and insights!
Yeah, Chloe keeps her emotions on a tight leash. That leash snapping under intense pressure made perfect sense to me, since it's how my emotions worked before I understood myself better. Also, Lucifer's devil face does seem to have a supernatural fear effect, beyond its uncanny appearance. Only celestials and mortals who are accustomed to his face or similar horrors are immune, and last episode was only the second time Chloe was directly exposed. That, to me, seemed to be the primary reason she was having trouble looking directly at Lucifer, and also why she couldn't maintain her equanimity.
I Kind of like eve and lucifers connection 😂🎉 your explaining of chloe in the beginning let me rethink my past experiences with the Show and i must say your right. She acts Kind of out of character.❤ drink Was warm honey milk since i am not feeling so well. By the way happy New year to you 😊❤
Eden was in what would eventually become Babylon which if I remember right was at the convergence of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in the middle east
The Bible does not specify what fruit Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden, but the apple is the most popular candidate today. The apple became the dominant symbol of temptation and sin because the Latin word for apple, malum, is also the Latin word for "evil". Other fruits that have been proposed as the forbidden fruit include: fig, grape, pomegranate, and citron. The apple only became the most popular choice in the 12th century C.E. The story of Adam and Eve in Genesis only refers to "the fruit" of the forbidden tree. The pomegranate may have been the actual forbidden fruit, according to the Pomegranate Council in California. Pomegranates are often eaten at Greek and Jewish holiday tables, and Greeks break a pomegranate on the ground for good luck at weddings and New Year's.
An onion? Ha! :-) Can't help of thinking of Shrek... " Oh. You know, not everybody like onions.... You know what ELSE everybody likes? Parfaits! Have you ever met a person, you say, Let's get some parfait... Parfait's may be the most delicious thing on the whole damn planet! " ... scene.... :-)
Personally I don't think Chloe's reaction was over the top at all. From episode one of the season she has been vulnerable. In the church, with lucifer in the second episode and other situations. "Weepy" to quote you. I clearly connected with her emotions here. Because of the episodes before. She showed herself to be terrified already so. When she finally opens up... Yes she would shout out her feelings. Just my opinion.
I am drinking pomegranate juice mixed with leomanade. Almost on theme lol Your thoughts on Chloe are probably why whenever I thought too long on her relationship w Lucifer I always felt like adding Dan or Cain in as a third just appealed to me more. Their dynamic on its own just never quite worked
details matters until they don't... Here is just the start, it doesn't have a real impact yet... except for the obvious chloé don't accept lucifer's "real face" but Eve does. Some spookey ancient prophecy looms and we are pushed to ask ,is it coming and does eve the one. Ps: I drank Bloody mary on this episode, sorry outside the script, but my way to celebrate a not so peacefull past year.
The one thing I was not a fan of when Netflix took over was the change of Lucifer's devil face to practical effects. Normally I prefer practical, but in this case the cgi was better with its slightly out of focus, mercurial, shifting nature, making it more like a disconcerting shroud that was hard to look at.
Seeing as this series has introduced a bunch of biblical and even Talmudic characters into its lore, I’m surprised it has ignored the nephilim. Nephelim are the children of angels and humans.
As far as Adam and Eve getting into Heaven, you have to remember that as it's depicted in this show, whether you go to Heaven or Hell is entirely up to you and your conscience unless God directly intervenes as was the case with Pierce (Cain) with the mark and even then he had it within him to get rid of the mark.
I think Chloe's outburst in the last episode didn't register because she has typically been the 'straight woman' in the comedy routine. All the wacky characters bounce off of her, so it all feels out of character when she's off-kilter as well.
The serpent in the bible that tempts Adam and Eve is not Satan by the way. Satan or the Devil came after the writing of Genesis. It is also more of a Christian idea not a Jewish tradition. Pre Christianity the religion of Abraham was not as monotheistic as we take it to be. There were many deities you can even find mentioned in the Old Testament but many translations tend to translate them with a Christian bend.
False. The serpent is literally satan in all 3 major religions (islam, christianity, and judaism) that hold the “adam and eve” storyline belief. What ISNT accurate is that Satan = Lucifer, as Samael and Lucifer are two completely different angels biblically speaking. Regardless of what Wikipedia says. Samael is the one who despises humans, but never rebelled against god so he never fell from heaven. Lucifer just didn’t think he should be told what to do if humans weren’t being told what to do. Anyway because of Samael’s disgust for humans some religions hold him to the satan title: aka the punisher.
@@zimvader25 In Hebrew Satan isn't even a personification until the book of Job. In Genesis it is a talking serpent and that is it. Animals had some part of mysticism in early Jewish faith. Through translation after the Hellenistic period parts of the Old Testament get retranslated in Greek and Latin where they merged the idea of Satan being a personification of a being. In Hebrew tradition Satan would be more similar to the word "evil". In the Hebrew of Genesis Satan is not used to describe the snake. So before the common era that would not have been the understanding. Now after about 32 BC as apocalyptic parts of the faith started springing up the idea of a great evil being was created and imposed on the translations of texts. I would suggest going and talking to people who study Hebrew and are familiar with the Old Testament studies of common day and before the common era.
I have watched several channels react to this series and this was the very first time I've heard anyone talk about Chloe's lack of personality. I agree 100%. There are a few great female characters in "Lucifer" (and more to come) and it has always bugged me that Chloe is so... bleh. Nothing against Lauren German at all but the writers really made the character so flat. She rarely smiles or laughs. Maze, Linda, Ella, Charlotte, Candy and even Trixie are more interesting than Chloe. Eve is awesome and there's another character coming down the road that is great, too. I get that Chloe is the female lead, and Lucifer's love interest, but why make her so dry?
A crime fighting devil. It makes sense. Don't overthink it.

Happy New Year, all! Here's to many more amazing Lucifer reactions in the coming year. 🎉😊

❤ Vincent. The remake was good, but the OG was🤌🤌
Maybe it's me showing my age as well 🤭🤷♀️
I really wish someone would react to that old show, even season 3
The driver that shoots Lucifer in the face plays the disciple Thomas in The Chosen.😂
Happy new year, Anna! Glad to see that you've picked up reacting tirelessly again.🍾🎆
I am finally caught up to your reactions to lucifer..
12:13 Hiding in her hoo-ha 🤣

in honor of 16:24, I think I will attempt to make a Banana Daiquiri for the next episode. 😉
I also find each season of Lucifer is fairly self-contained.
I love Maze . . .

The lucifer from supernatural teased this show in it a ep and eve plays more roles in the future lol can't say how
Remember Sis this is a TV show not a documentary. Not everything is gonna be factual 😂😂
Let's go. Happy New Year 🎉
Just Subscribed to your channel. Please keep the Lucifer reactions coming.

Happy New Year!🥳🎉✨
"why did she come now" well i mean we did need some plot for season 4 :P j/k you will find out when you keep watching.
I think Eve just lived and died as a good person and didn’t have any guilt to send her to hell. So she went to heaven.
do you remember that the Pomegranate was shown in the pictures decorating Charlotte's office?

The prophecy said "1st love" not "truest love" 🤷♀️
Happy New Year! and may 2025 bring health, wealth, love and happiness to you and your family.

It's my understanding that it is still CGI. They were just able to improve it because of the extra budget they had.

Chloe gets blander and blander as the series progresses. Wait until you get to the last season.
You are a child of this Beauty and the Beast?
