Can you purchase an empty spool if you want to be able to quickly switch between different types of paracord?

the only thing i think that can improve on it would be a sleeve that holds a lighter to seal the 550 or have a holder built in on V 2.0

Is the max length that you can fit on the reel only 50 foot?

can it only be opened when the spool is empty? i'm finding it difficult to do this. the clips don't just push down and in. they just push right back out no matter how hard i push. the "ball point" pen just doesn't do it as easy as it sounds and i think a random stick or twig would fair even less. that being said no matter what i do i cannot even get to the second pin by the time the first one pops up nor separate each halve in time either.

I know it’s been two years, and your probably figured it out. But you need to push the pin out of the way. Tbh. If you haven’t figured it out by now, you’ve probably thrown the thing out 💀💀
