I haven't done one myself because there are loads already - and I didn't think anyone would be interested. My first sling video here: ua-cam.com/video/EoF2FMz7AWI/v-deo.htmlsi=Ju0pwFnnti7--qxW gives some hints and tips for those who were considering having a go at making one. I used this video by Road Dawg to get the basics: ua-cam.com/video/2LhOQdpjmsI/v-deo.htmlsi=rCLcG4RFv1J5rQyQ
They aren't as difficult as you might imagine. Watch my hints and tips video first though as that might save you some time an effort. Post it up if you do make one. I'd be happy to look and comment.

I have now - see video ET#37. Not a full sling making video but covers most of the basics. With this and video ET#27 that should see you pretty much all the way to making your own. Good luck - post it when you are done!

What specifically was wrong with those pouches? I've been playing with the idea of crossing strands between the pouch braids to try and create a netting of sorts.

I found it to be very 'grippy'. I was slinging decent size rocks, generally river/lake stones that were smooth and even these were 'hanging up'. It's really odd when you've built up what you know to be a pretty good amount of momentum, let it fly and then feel the rock still in the sling after 'release'. Some of it may have been because the paracord, in this case, wasn't the best. The individual strands all seemed to stretch and the pouch was nearly wrapping itself around the rock - which is what a net is supposed to do I guess. Worth a try, you might have different results with your set up. Have a go and post the results - I'd be interested in your findings. I won't be using this technique again though. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@ECEtek I've seen other netted pouch slings work fantastically, but they're netted like an actual fishnet and made with Dyneema.
