When I install the plug ins, some of those say "unsigned" and I can't use them

go to top menu bar >window > Extension Manager > Click on Gear icon (on top right corner) > click on Unrestricted > Click on Confirm > restart may be required

Because you have more groups inside your main group Explode all Sub-Group (inside main groups)

Can you please create a tutorial with verbal instructions? It's better to hear what you are doing while you are modeling instead of the music. I had a hard time following what you did with the railing from 1:10 on through 4:00.

why can't you select all when using shape bender ?

you can select only one group at a time. so if you want to make a whole rail at once. select all groups and convert them into a single group.
