You know, my father died from an accident in October. In November a wallet my father gave me while on a trip to Ohio broke. It was a big deal because my father only made one trip in his life and he bought me that wallet. A month ago something just broke inside me too. My father was a cabinet-maker. I myself am not at all good with manual labor. I started looking for a wallet on youtube and fell upon your channel. It was one of the videos where you say nothing and just work. Just having that background noise remembered my father and I started crying... a lot and it was much needed. I often listen to your video in the background while I work and sometimes just to relax when I feel the world is crazy and I just feel like throwing up. Thanks for your work, for the peace you bring me, and for not giving up. We may never meet as I am in Quebec but I wish you a good day. Don't give up and thanks again for some peace of mind.

Your videos are something that i can watch and listen to and usually get to sleep. I’m starting my own leather company, and you were one of my inspirations, along with Corter Leather and Dieselpunk. I am one of those creative types, that simply wants to learn everything they can about anything, and that is what got me to leather. I have already sold 3 bags and a few smaller trinkets to coworkers and family, and they love them. It’s not the money that entices me (although selling a bag for $300 made my day), it’s the process. Experimenting with designs, seeing the amazed look on people’s faces when I tell them that I made my bag, wallet, belt, and hat myself. Even if I don’t sell another bag my entire life, it’s not about that. Like you said, it’s the love for the craft. Take care of yourself, have a very blessed Christmas. God bless you.

I am trying to start out but I can’t afford tools that could make my pieces better. I am trying one project at a time. I’m a US Army veteran and just working through a project helps to easy my mind. Keeping my hands busy takes me out of my own head. Thanks
Keep going lloyd. There's are plenty of cheap tools that were my firsts 8 years ago and I use then every day. I saved enough for a good machine and that was the game changer.

It’s a change which has given me perspective and is unfathomably more rewarding. From a simple single stitch line wallet to bags and trinkets for family members.... Thank you for this. This has been the hardest year of my life. I won’t get into my problems but leather craft been a godsend. Hopefully some day it will be a full time job. I am in an eerily similar place in my life as to what you described; working a cushy job that numbs my mind and exhausts my body, unfulfilled, looking for a way out. Leathercrafting for me started as a way to compliment my costume making and existing sewing skills, and I instantly fell in love with it. I have been really questioning if its something I can take to the next level, but there's the voice of society in my mind telling me that giving up my "safe" job is a stupid idea. You gave me a lot to think about.

Что касается изделий, то чем больше изделие, тем реже его покупают. Основной заработок, насколько лично я знаю, на карточницах, обложках и байфолдах. От одного русского мастера вообще слышал, что все свои сумки он шил по одному экземпляру, чтоб сфоткать для своего портфолио, а заказов на них, можно сказать, нет.

Watching videos like yours, Stock & Barrel, and plenty of other leathercrafting videos had pushed me from a backseat dreamer to spending hours enjoying my new favorite hobby. I went from spending my free time playing video games and watching tv shows to leathercrafting and listening/reading books. It’s a change which has given me perspective and is unfathomably more rewarding. From a simple single stitch line wallet to bags and trinkets for family members.... I love what I’ve accomplished and look forward to what I’ll do next. And you’ve been a part of that journey for me. So thank you, I truly do appreciate it.

Thank you for this. This has been the hardest year of my life. I won’t get into my problems but leather craft been a godsend. Hopefully some day it will be a full time job. Until then I love it as a hobby. I feel like an artist and craftsman had been trying to get out for years and I finally found my outlet.

I am in an eerily similar place in my life as to what you described; working a cushy job that numbs my mind and exhausts my body, unfulfilled, looking for a way out. Leathercrafting for me started as a way to compliment my costume making and existing sewing skills, and I instantly fell in love with it. I have been really questioning if its something I can take to the next level, but there's the voice of society in my mind telling me that giving up my "safe" job is a stupid idea. You gave me a lot to think about.

@@kirill416 где же он взял столько денег чтоб вложится в пром машины , инструмент и огромную мастерскую. наблюдаю за ним в инстограмм. самое основное у него это сумка шопер и чехол на планшет. больше нечего нет хорошего. из остатков шьет мелочевку. сумку продает за 25 т руб так жить можно

Что касается изделий, то чем больше изделие, тем реже его покупают. Основной заработок, насколько лично я знаю, на карточницах, обложках и байфолдах. От одного русского мастера вообще слышал, что все свои сумки он шил по одному экземпляру, чтоб сфоткать для своего портфолио, а заказов на них, можно сказать, нет.
