Toru's sudden reactions/commentary make this one of the best anime episodes ever. I forgot how damn good this one is. Izumi protecting Sawada....so yes! His reminding her of her lost brother...Horimiya doesn't do "sad" a lot, but when it does....whoo.
I am one of those that's really against Miyamura cutting his hair as a choice by the author, he went from having a unique character design to looking like 100% of anime protagonists.
@@frogshavehats4994 It really wasn't tho, the same effect could have been reached with just contact lenses and putting his hair in a tail like he did before, no need to make him as bland as possible by changing his looks to be the exact same as every male mc in modern anime.
@@frogshavehats4994 You don't seem to understand what the actual point of that change was; the classmates were dissing his looks claiming he wasn't good looking enough for Hori, which made him decide to do a "glow up". I had nothing to do with any declaration of love. And looks wise he 100% looked better pre haircut. All he did was conform to the standard look, that's neither a good or a romantic thing.
7:55 In the anime, this is the first time Hori explicitly showed her kink...but even she didn't realize it yet. I super love this show. Too bad they cut out this side of her from the live action series. If you want to see sad, by the way, they did the live version more like a straight up teen drama than a high school romcom

Yeah but characters shouldn’t remain stagnant and should change and grow as the story changes and grows so in my opinion the hair cut was important
