    Love your work. Love that some of the ideas were there simply because you liked the look of it. Good honest people. Cheers bud.

    6:53 Invert the Back Door so it Becomes a Counter top when open, but then make some clip on Pool Noodles so the kids don’t smack their head.

      That's a good idea. I've got a piece of plumbing insulation on it now cause its right at face height. I actually have a stainless table that lips onto the two little circles on the back. I need some longer push arms for sure.

    What a great build! I finished mine a year ago, but really, I never finished and I got some wonderful ideas from your video. It is really smart looking. I hope to see some camping videos coming up… New subscriber.

    Nice work. I ended up buy a used home made camper not nearly as nice as yours but I see it as a great platform to make it my own . Cheers !

    Great design and build! From experience that must have taken a fair amount of your time.

    Looks nice. I have been scouring videos of factory and DIY camp trailers, which lead me to yours. Slowly getting components and gear here and there, so I can include them in the design. Design it to fit and around the components and gear, rather than trying to make things fit after the fact. I will end up going with a DIY build. Get more bang for the buck and install the options I want.
    Awesome build.

    you do good work. I am curious though about what looks like an awning. is it an awning and if so, isn't it really low? can't tell you where I'm from because I have a cyberbully stalking me and trying to find out where I live and I don't want to help him find me 😁😁😁😁😁😁

    • @buildlifeoverland
      @buildlifeoverland  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! It is an awning. It is about 6'6" so plenty high for me.

    Great video and cool trailer.
    Great building skills as well.
    Most overlanders hang maxtrax and farm jacks.on their trailers. Is that something you think you may need?
    The cables on the roof, have you considered some kind of wrap or cable protector to protect them a little bit from the weather?
    Have considered installing a water tank with a couple of spray ports and a small pump? Definetly not an expert but I guess 10 gals maybe useful.

      Thanks! Allot of these things are on the tow rig. I am able to keep the camper in my shop when not using it. Keeping the sun and rain off it when not in use goes a long way for cables and all the other stuff since it's only in bad weather a few times a year that I get some when camping. It has done really well.

    Very cool setup. Well thought out and designed. Maybe I missed it, but what kind of batteries did you use?

    • @buildlifeoverland
      @buildlifeoverland  Рік тому

      Thanks! Just a lead acid deep cycle marine battery. Had a problem with the charger over heating it though so I need to get a new one. Thinking of lithium Ion

    Can you explain your decision to use the ball coupler over the articulating hitch?

    • @buildlifeoverland
      @buildlifeoverland  Рік тому

      Mostly because I move it around my shop and tow with several vehicles. My forklift has a 2" ball attachment and my truck has a class 5 hitch instead of a class 3 the jeep does so I never had what I needed. This just simplified logistics and I can't see a scenario where I really need the max coupler. If I take it somewhere that I might need it, it is easy to switch back.

    Jeeps are becoming less capable. These modern jeeps cant do half or what a ww2 jeep could do.
