And I think Snape agreed to the duel club demonstration so he could trash Lockhart in public with no consequences lol
Molly's one makes sense that way... However, I don't think Snape would do that, or use Expelliarmus instead of Stupefy or something else... Unless he is really there to teach the spell. And in that case, I doubt he would want to do that with Lockhart exxept Dumbledore tells him to do it
The one plot hole with this theory I have a problem with is in Part 3 they say Dumbledore suggests the Egypt trip because he doesn't want Harry to go to the Weasleys to keep him safe from Sirius but Sirius does not escape until after the Egypt trip when he sees the news article on the Egypt trip.
😂 😂 Maybe Dumbledore knew the rat was Wormtail and think but didn't say anything because Sirius is better kept in prison so he won't interfere with his plan 😂
I doubt that. Maybe Dumbledore realised that Hagrid had forgotten to tell Harry that, and so instead of sending another set of instructions via post, just planted Molly there, which helped his plans even more
When I first watched Dumbledore's big plan on SuperCarlinBrothers it made me reread the books the same way as finding out Snape loves Lilly made me reread the books. To go through each book with this theory in the back of my mind was such a rewarding experience. I loved it.
It wasn't a theory that Hagrid was Hufflepuff. It was that Hagrid was in Slytherin. Because of his association with Tom Riddle and being believably framed about the chamber of secrets

Nothing would make me happier than to see my 2 favorite harry potter channels react. Id love to see you react to their what if theroies. The one about Harry being in Slytherin is amazing. And im a huge fan of the one if Dumbledore never put on the gaunt family ring as well.
Have been a fan of the Super Carlin Brothers and Morgan's MovieFlame channel for years. I appreciate how there is plenty of room for both of their content as they are similar, but unique in their own ways. Great idea with showing the reactions and the "A-Ha" moments.
45:50 I’d also add that Harry and Ron both tried to save Pettigrew in the 7th book when his hand was choking him. Both panicked and tried to pry his fingers off his neck, showing they really weren’t cut out for murder. But on the other hand, Voldemort was the one who directly murdered Harry’s parents. With Pettigrew, there’s at least the consolation that all of the horrible things he’s done were out of cowardice and fear. Voldemort was the one who walked in and murdered Harry’s parents, and attempted to kill him as a baby. And on top of that, Pettigrew wasn’t that threatening. Harry knew he could easily be placed in Azkaban. Voldemort is too powerful to be imprisoned. As long as he’s alive, he is a danger to Harry and all of his loved ones. Of course Harry would kill him if only in the name of not losing more loved ones. Fred, Lupin, Sirius, Tonks, his parents, Cedric, and then he’s seen Hermione and Ginny come within inches of getting hit by killing curses. Harry needed to kill Voldemort to ensure his loved ones would live. So yes, I believe that if it came to it, Voldemort was defenseless in front of Harry, Harry would outright cast “Avada Kedavra.” He knows that this is the one person he needs to kill.
I really like seeing SCB and MovieFlame interacting like this and I hope we'll get to see more crossovers between the two and maybe some direct interaction in a collaboration or something like that as well. Both of these channels cover a lot of the same subjects and go so in depth into all of them in interesting ways and I'd love to see what you guys would produce together.
A detail meny overlook is Mrs. Figg. She isn't just a character that pops up in PoA. We are told she was Harry's babysitter in book one. We don't find out until book three that Dumbledore placed her there to watch over him.
Did you ever consider Dumbledore having his own Marauders Map? He always knew where Harry was, even returning the invisibility cloak after Harry left carelessly in the Astronomy Tower
I never thought how many resources Dumbledore has to keep him so informed ! Apparently, neither did Voldemort though. He considers Dumbledore as obnoxiously Omniscient lol, one of the reasons why he fears Dumbledore
Insane video. When you talk about the useless obstacles. You said that they designed specificly for Harry (flying keys) Ron (chess)and Hermione (poisons riddle). But what if the devil snair was for Neville. He is very good at herbology, he was with the trio when they found Fluffy , when they went to the forest with Hagrid and he meets them at the corridor room just moments before they go down to face the obstacles . He also, from a pure blood Gryffindor family. And above all, Dumbledor knew that neville could be the chosen boy from the prophecy so it make sense that he will be conected with Harry and go down with him, Ron and Hermione
I’m pretty sure its canon that dumbledore left the mirror for Harry to find so he understands how it works. I believe dumbldore tells him this at the hospital wing
I think dumbledore intended Neville to go down the trap door too, which was why devil snare was in there and D would have known Neville was good at herbology
Morgan, you are one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I love your videos and Harry Potter equally. Honestly, by now, the two belong together for me.Thank you so much for entertaining all of us time and time again :)
I don't think Hagrid knew he was in the plan. Dumbledore knew Hagrid's nature, maybe he told him the information knowing he would spill it one time or the other.
I always thought after reading the books that Harry owning the Elder Wand was important because this was the only way Voldemort would actually end up dying. Voldemort is still the most powerful wizard at that time so overpowering him seems impossible even without his horcruxes. McGonagall, Kingsley and Slughorn together couldn't do it so there is no way Harry could win a normal duel against him (he probably can't even cast the death curse if he wanted to without practice). If Voldemort is not defeated in battle, he can easily go into hiding for as long as he wants to and rebuild his horcruxes or worse he and his army just overpower the fighters of Hogwarts anyway and instead of killing Harry they simply take him prisoner or give him the Dementors kiss or something (even Voldemort would probably be like "screw the prophecy" after not being able to kill Harry for the thousandth time in a row). So the Elder Wand was setup to kill Voldemort without him realizing he's not gonna win the fight which was basically the only way to kill this last piece of his soul.
@@electricheartpony Draco becoming Master of the wand was never Dumbledores intention. He wanted Snape to become the Master as stated in the conversation with Harry in book 7
@@kvm6 Ok looked it up because I was unsure myself but quoting from page 721: “If you planned your death with Snape, you meant him to end up with the Elder Wand, didn’t you?” “I admit that was my intention,” said Dumbledore, “but it did not work as I had intended, did it?” What Dumbledore really intended with Snape becoming the master was never made clear so that leaves some room for speculation
@@figmundsreud9363 Harry says it plainly to Tom when they circle each other. “That wand still isn’t working properly for you because you murdered the wrong person. Severus Snape was never the true master of the Elder Wand. He never defeated Dumbledore.” “He killed -” “Aren’t you listening? Snape never beat Dumbledore! Dumbledore’s death was planned between them! Dumbledore intended to die undefeated, the wand’s last true master! If all had gone as planned, the wand’s power would have died with him, because it had never been won from him!” Edit - and this is where "flaw in the plan" (Chapter title) comes in, because Draco disarmed Dumbledore.
Just had a thought... if the dementors did perform the kiss on Harry, would it have effected the soul of the Horcrux in Harry? Would the part of voldemort that lives in him take control or would it have killed the horcrux? Good potential fan theory!
My theory would be that the Horcrux would be destroyed. When Dementors suck a soul out, the soul never seems to come back out, which means the Dementor probably annihilated the soul within its body.
No I actually think the horcurux can still be ok since dementors only “take the soul out” but not “take the soul out and destroy it” so I think the horcurux will be left in the soul
Thought - Did Dumbledore contact Grindlewald (who was a seer) to see into the future and know to some extent how Snape would die and make sure Snape would be able to give Harry the knowledge he would need to defeat Voldemort? Or contact Grindlewald to help him formulate the plan against Voldemort? We know Grindlewald tried to stop Voldemort to not give him the information about the wand. What else would he have done to help Dumbledore?
The dumbledore trust Harry in finding the horcrux is shown by how much Harry understands Voldemort due their similar backgrounds. Both orphans who marveled at the same things, Gringotts, Hogwarts, Room of Requirements. All things which Dumbledore didn't know or could understand how much it meant to them.
My head cannon for hagrid is dumbledore in a way enchanted him to always help harry and it sorta went into conversations like that "he shouldnt of said that" the confusion on his face as if over powered by a magical force.
You know what I think? I think that J was wearing the same shirt every time because in every cover of each movie, Harry is wearing the same shirt EVERY MOVIE.
I think the reason Dumbledore didn't tell Harry directly or immediately about the protection at the Dursley's is the same reason he doesn't tell him about the prophecy... To prevent Voldemort from extracting this information from Harry. Additional reason might be that Dumbledore wanted Harry to see/find out for himself what the power of love can do and how strong it is
dude, i’ve been watching both channels for so damn long, supercarlinbrothers usually make more outlandish theories but i enjoy them quite a lot so to see movie flame react to it is truly special, especially my favourite video of theirs, i probaly won’t watch this today because i’m out for the next 3 days but when i’m back, i’m watching it first thing.
10:10 with the context in deathly hallows, I get the feeling Dumbledore never truly let go of his manipulative and secretive ways, and he even told Snape he doesn’t like to keep his eggs in one basket, so maybe Dumbledore knows or counts on Hagrid letting important info slip when he’s talking to the trio
The other obstacles are definitely Tailored to the trio! I was thinking that the mirror had the philosophers stone in it even when Harry found it in the classroom on Christmas. Harry didn't have the knowledge to want it so it didn't appear to him.

So, I think it also makes sense that Dumbledore didn't pull from the Order for the DADA position in OotP because he was aware that the position was cursed and figured, given the political climate, that he nest nor risk any allies either.
Really surreal to see you react to their stuff. I'd be down to see you react to more of them. Especially their 'if Harry were in Slytherin' videos, if you haven't already Hell, maybe it could lead to a collaboration down the line? It'd be awesome to see two (three?) people so dedicated to the lore of this series come together on a project
In my opinion, Dumbledore didn’t tell Harry about the prophesy and the sacrificial protection because of what he tells Harry at the end of the second book, which is that who you are isn’t determined by physical attributes or abilities, but by the choices he makes. Harry knowing these things may have affected how Harry acted, and Dumbledore wanted his decisions to be unaffected.
Also if the Horcrux-piece in Harry had noticed earlier they have to die it might have tryed something to survive like it did when it broke Lucius's wand used by Volemort.
Jay has 2 (I think, maybe 3) kids. When you have a few kids, you do laundry a lot more often. Or he just did it all on the same day and released it weekly.
I do kind of have an objection to the "not telling Harry the prophecy" bit. Dumbledore probably didn't need to tell Harry the full prophecy. He knew that Snape only overheard part of it. Harry at minimum knowing there was an important prophecy about him and he couldn't be told the full one yet would have at least kept his guard up and would have made him debate on going to the Ministry. It probably wouldn't have stopped him but at least he could have gone in with the idea that it might be a trap. At least to me, having that little nugget of knowledge would have been better than being left completely in the dark.
He already knew it was almost certainly a trap in canon in his conversation with hermione, but he went anyway because all the evidence pointed towards Sirius being kidnapped. He'd also visited St Mungos fairly recently and saw what cruciatus curse damage does to someone. He had felt that curse himself, and he loved sirius, so I doubt it would have changed anything.
My two favorite Harry Potter channels in the same video! Nice! PS: You should watch the ultimate Harry Potter pitch meeting video as well. It's only about the movies, but Ryan sure makes some great points, and it's so funny
7:20 what if the 3rd floor corridor was the room of requirement? Dumbledor needed a way to hide the stone, but also needed the trio to be able to get there, accessibly, and that's why the corridor is never seen again. Also why it doesn't match up to any other place in the castle.
Imagine being every other kid whose mothers didn’t love them enough to someone to protect them from getting murdered by one of the strongest wizards ever.
It isn't just a matter of love, it's a matter of choice. Voldemort allows Lily to run away (as a favor to Snape) if she wants to yet she chooses to die for Harry. I don't believe Voldemort was ever so kind to anyone else.
Did you ever consider that Jay may have filmed the whole thing in one sitting and then released one video per week, and that’s why he’s wearing the same shirt 😂 Amazing video I love your channel! ❤
This is what bothers me most about this video, but overall enjoyed it. Had to see if anyone else was gunna say anything about the standard practice of filming a multi-part video in one sitting
Technically Mrs. Weasley would have been on platform 9 3/4 more than 17 times because she herself would have been on it at least fourteen times for her own schooling.
Killing does not always rip one’s soul appart. Dumbledore tells Snape that only him (Snape) could know if killing him (Dumbledore) would damage his (Snape) soul. And if killing always rip souls appart, Molly Weasley (and at least half of the members of the Order) had damaged souls…
The way I interpret that is that killing to defend yourself or those you care about, like the Order of the Phoenix did, keeps your soul intact because you had no other choice to do so. Murder for the sake of doing so, ending the life of someone who doesn’t threaten you, does damage your soul as it was a needless death that can negatively affect one’s psyche.
I found it interesting that Hagrid gave Harry a flute for Christmas in his first year. That flute he got was used to make the three-headed dog sleep. So was Hagrid trying to give them a clue or did Dumbledore tell him to give Harry a musical instrument?
I always thought that the reason Voldemort let Nagini have the kill was because he was truly fond of Snape as a subordinate and wanted to give him the honor of having a real death with substance and meaning despite being more painful. But nah it's totally because of the wand, it stings that I made it poetic and gave Voldemort too much credit 😂
I mean you might not be entirely wrong, to Voldemort using Avada Kedavra on people was the equivalent of taking out the trash. He reserved painful deaths for people he actually respected.
Omg one of my favorite UA-camrs reacting to another one of my favorite UA-camrs 🫢 I personally find, “Dumbledore’s big plan” to be one of the best videos I’ve seen on UA-cam, ever.
Interesting. I don't think it comes down to the wand not caring. Remember, the wand chooses the wizard. Also, I think Snape had a plan too. When he realized that Harry was being raised like a pig for slaughter and thought he would die, he had to put his feelings aside and was even willing to risk his soul. He stopped looking at Harry as James Potter's son but instead saw Lily in him. He died saving the life of the son of the woman he ALWAYS loved.
In the GoF I think sending Harry to the quidditch world cup wasn't just to introduce more of the wizarding world to Harry but to also introduce Harry to the wizarding world on a greater scale. Dumbledore didn't know how long it would take to vanquish Voldemort. He needed to build Harry an international coalition in the event that Voldemort's influence spread globally just as it did for Grindelwald. I think that's why he fought so hard to reinstate the tournament. So that Harry could learn to trust wizards abroad even if they were from Durmstrang and Bulgaria. Harry got to witness the Bulgarian PM messing with Fudge and to see that Krum, whatever Ron thought of him, is "alright" and a good person that hates the dark arts.
I just love it when you point out Jay's shirt in each part of the video, it's really funny. In all seriousness, I really like how you reacted to their theory video.
For the thought about Harry not knowing what the killing curse was, even if "Moody" didn't teach him what it was, Harry would have seen Wormtail use it on Cedric which was the curse that had killed him.
29:43 apparently kids getting good grades is out of spite for bad teacher(and yes I'm definitely wrong) so maybe dumbledore heard that and put harry's least favorite teacher so harry could succeed faster, also yes this theory can be debunked pretty easily tbh
ok also, was malfoy manipulated into casting that snake in dueling club? That's a pretty advanced spell. Maybe dumbledore needed harry to know he was a parselmouth in order to be able to get into the chamber
That would be a super cool theory to look into and maybe Dumbledore knew Harry might be a parselmouth cause of the event of the first book but needed to confirm
Re: Harry maybe murdering Voldy - I don't think Harry killing Voldemort is really murder. Even though Harry hates Voldemort it's much closer to killing in self defense. If Harry doesn't get Voldemort, Voldemort is going to get him. Dumbledore doesn't know Harry's internal mindset though. In the books Harry comes off as very duty bound regarding his feud with Voldemort. He is doing it because he must and to protect others. The "Voldy kills himself" plan was in case Harry did want to kill him out of hatred.
32:16 to be fair, the book (and film) suggests that Dumbledore didn’t actually have a choice. The ministry were insistent on one of their own representatives being there to spy on Dumbledore (due to Fudge's paranoia). The whole point was that Fudge had become convinced that Dumbledore wanted to take over. Sure maybe Dumbledore could have had a say in who exactly this representative was but….
I wonder if Dumbledore was trying to draw both Harry AND Voldemort to the philosopher's stone so that the prophecy could be fulfilled then and there, as Dumbledore knew about Lily's love protection on Harry but did not know about Voldemort's horcruxes yet (until he saw Riddle's diary the next year).
I don't think that harry would be able to kill voldemort as he said," I won't blast people out of my way just cuz they are there. That's voldemorts job." He would rather die than kill someone else. Like how when Stan shunkpine was under the imperious and was cursing him he refused to curse him back as he could fall and die. I love hoe harrychooses to take magic away by expelliarmus than take life with Avadakadarava
The video about Hagrid's house they made argued he was in Slytherin. Doesn't make a TON of sense based on his personality, but makes LOADS of sense when context of Chamber of Secrets (and Deathly Hallows) is applied
Actually they had the theory that Hagrid was in slytherin. Sounds weird at first but really is the only house that makes sense considering people though he was "the heir of Slytherin" opening the chamber of secrets..
If I remember correctly, Harry is distantly related to Salazar Slytherin, if Dambledore hadn't been there, giving him some important life lessons, he could have ended up differently, becoming a dark wizard. I think Aunt Petunia knew who killed her sister, and her brother-in-law, and even though she was jealous of her sister, because Lily was born with magic and she wasn't, I think she still felt affection for Lily, even though she hadn't spoken to her for years, and she this is why she decided to welcome Harry into the house, even if her husband did not approve of the decision, and I believe that Petunia knew very well the danger that Harry ran, and that the family ran by welcoming him into the house. Although it was never confirmed, I believe Petunia was a squib. Even though her parents were muggles, an ancestor had magical powers, otherwise Lily wouldn't have been a witch....This explains why Petunia felt jealous of Lily... And also the fact that he knew about the wizarding world.
The quote “there wasn’t a witch or wizard that went bad who wasn’t in slytherin” I always saw a a play in words of meaning “of those that go bad they are all from slytherin” rather than meaning everyone in slytherin is bad.
So supposedly the ritual Lily carried out to protect Harrys' soul, prevents Voldemorts' horcrux from taking Harry over. If the Dementors sucked Harry's soul out, then it stands to reason Lilys' magic would fail, and Voldemort would once again have a body...Harrys.
Yesss I love this video i genuinely believe the Supercarlinbrothers could convince me of absolutely anything fo do with harry potter. I'm so excited to see your thoughts on this

This was the dream I didn’t know I needed omg my 2 fave Harry Potter channels on a screen!! I would love a collaboration with these channels! ❤🎉
My ears: Dumbledore

dumb Lord
wow! my two favorite harry potter youtubers!! keep up the amazing work morgan ❤❤❤
A detail meny overlook is Mrs. Figg. She isn't just a character that pops up in PoA. We are told she was Harry's babysitter in book one. We don't find out until book three that Dumbledore placed her there to watch over him.
Book 5 actually I think?????
Did you ever consider Dumbledore having his own Marauders Map? He always knew where Harry was, even returning the invisibility cloak after Harry left carelessly in the Astronomy Tower
The cloak was left at Harry's bed. And he has House Elves, Portraits and Fawkes to keep lookout.
I never thought how many resources Dumbledore has to keep him so informed !
Apparently, neither did Voldemort though. He considers Dumbledore as obnoxiously Omniscient lol, one of the reasons why he fears Dumbledore
Seeing Morgan reacting to the Super Carlin Brothers is so surreal, cuz I love their stuff as well. Their competitions are so fun to watch.
hell yea!
That relies on Harry taking Draco's wand. So, not really part of Dumbledore's plan.
@@electricheartpony Draco becoming Master of the wand was never Dumbledores intention. He wanted Snape to become the Master as stated in the conversation with Harry in book 7
@@figmundsreud9363he didn't want Snape to become Master. The book says that he wanted Wand's power to die because the death was planned.
@@kvm6 Ok looked it up because I was unsure myself but quoting from page 721: “If you planned your death with Snape, you meant him to end
up with the Elder Wand, didn’t you?”
“I admit that was my intention,” said Dumbledore, “but it did
not work as I had intended, did it?”
What Dumbledore really intended with Snape becoming the master was never made clear so that leaves some room for speculation
@@figmundsreud9363 Harry says it plainly to Tom when they circle each other.
“That wand still isn’t working properly for you because you murdered the wrong person. Severus Snape was never the true master of the Elder Wand. He never defeated Dumbledore.”
“He killed -”
“Aren’t you listening? Snape never beat Dumbledore! Dumbledore’s death was planned between them! Dumbledore intended to die undefeated, the wand’s last true master! If all had gone as planned, the wand’s power would have died with him, because it had never
been won from him!”
Edit - and this is where "flaw in the plan" (Chapter title) comes in, because Draco disarmed Dumbledore.
Just had a thought... if the dementors did perform the kiss on Harry, would it have effected the soul of the Horcrux in Harry? Would the part of voldemort that lives in him take control or would it have killed the horcrux? Good potential fan theory!
i honestly don't know but maybe we can ask scb the do a "what if" on that
My theory would be that the Horcrux would be destroyed. When Dementors suck a soul out, the soul never seems to come back out, which means the Dementor probably annihilated the soul within its body.
I like to think, Voldy would possess the said dementor .
No I actually think the horcurux can still be ok since dementors only “take the soul out” but not “take the soul out and destroy it” so I think the horcurux will be left in the soul
J and Ben have a brilliant video about this.
Now he needs to watch the WHAT IF Harry was in Slytherin series
We NEED an IRL collab with them!
Make this Riordanverse video:

Ex: Percy - Alecto
Annabeth- Arachne
Grover- Polyphemus

Reyna- The Ramirez-Arellano Ancestors
Hylla- Julian Ramirez-Arellano
So, I think it also makes sense that Dumbledore didn't pull from the Order for the DADA position in OotP because he was aware that the position was cursed and figured, given the political climate, that he nest nor risk any allies either.
Really surreal to see you react to their stuff. I'd be down to see you react to more of them. Especially their 'if Harry were in Slytherin' videos, if you haven't already
Hell, maybe it could lead to a collaboration down the line?
I’ve been waiting for this crossover for like 5 years. Omg
Love both you and SCB. Great content. This is fun to have on in the background. Kind of like your difference between book and movie series.
Nagini was a woman so if she killed Snape in a universe were Snape WAS the owner of the Edler Wand would she become the master of the Elder Wand?
Dumbledore didn't tell Harry to form the DA. he told Ron and Hermine to do so, if u remember they told Harry to form the DA.
Dumbledore’s Big Plan might be my favorite SuperCarlinBrothers theory.
No if harry was in slytherin and i am a hufflepuff
that series has just come up in the side bar next to the comments
Omg one of my favorite UA-camrs reacting to another one of my favorite UA-camrs 🫢
I personally find, “Dumbledore’s big plan” to be one of the best videos I’ve seen on UA-cam, ever.
Harry got to witness the Bulgarian PM messing with Fudge and to see that Krum, whatever Ron thought of him, is "alright" and a good person that hates the dark arts.
the crossover I was waiting for
I just love it when you point out Jay's shirt in each part of the video, it's really funny.
In all seriousness, I really like how you reacted to their theory video.
I absolutely love this! You should definitely react to their “What if Harry Potter was in Slytherin”! 💕
Duude i legit used to put on yours and carlins videos when i would sleep, especially this 2 hour Dumbledore one, so this is such a good video for me 😅
A collab between the Super Carlin Bros and MovieFlame would be insane. Great reaction by the way
For the thought about Harry not knowing what the killing curse was, even if "Moody" didn't teach him what it was, Harry would have seen Wormtail use it on Cedric which was the curse that had killed him.
One day they should do a quiz together and now Morgan should react to both what if Harry was in Slytherin and what if Neville was in Gryffindor
That’ll be brilliant but do you mean “What if Neville was the chosen one” video since Neville is always in Gryffindor
It makes Dumbledores reasoning for Lockhart being a teacher a lot more sense. I always thought his reasoning was flawed.
Two of my favourite Harry Potter UA-camr’s
Actually they had the theory that Hagrid was in slytherin. Sounds weird at first but really is the only house that makes sense considering people though he was "the heir of Slytherin" opening the chamber of secrets..
Holy fawkes when I was reading the title I was confused then was like no way this is awesome I love both channels.
Fantastic reaction I love this breakdown I really hope someday you and the supercarlinbrothers can do a collab that would be incredible 😊❤
So is Nevilles soul torn because he killed Nagini who we know was/is a person?
The quote “there wasn’t a witch or wizard that went bad who wasn’t in slytherin” I always saw a a play in words of meaning “of those that go bad they are all from slytherin” rather than meaning everyone in slytherin is bad.
I have a really hard time imagining Severus Snape willingly letting Harry beat him at anything let alone a duel.
He would, if Dumbledore said the magic words.... "he has her eyes"
I'm so excited to see your thoughts on this
On my way to rewatch the movies again with all of this in mind
You two should do a collaboration together in the future.
My two favorite UA-camrs coming together!
