The Potomac Nationals have nothing to do with a city of the same name. Potomac is actually a town in Maryland while the team in in Woodbridge, Virginia. The organization used to go by "Prince William" (Pirates/Yankees/Cannons) and they switched to "Potomac" to make it more representative of the Potomac River region of Virginia - I grew up there and never heard the area referred to as such until the team made the change. A rebrand may be coming as the team is looking to move to Fredericksburg for the 2020 season.
While not my exact choice for worst hats in baseball, I do agree that 4 of your selections are indeed (very) hideous looking. With the only exception being the very ‘clean’ & ‘simple’ yet very classy Tulsa Drillers hat & logo. One hat which I would buy in a heartbeat if I was not so damn ‘gaga’ over buying Atlanta Braves/Texas Rangers & Hartford Yard Goats hats instead.
Hey major it was 2018 July 1 and to be honest I was not in the hat game until August was just around the corner is when I discover your channel how the year goes by so fast and and so did my money on buying hats lol I like your outfit Go Dodgers lol Go Blue love how your wearing that Dodgers colors showing how dedicated you are lol 🤣😂😂
Much respect for posting this. I find myself critiquing minor league hats all the time -- maybe its in our DNA. Anyway, I just go with it. What's now the Potomac Nationals was back in the day the Prince William Cannons. If you've not seen that hat, look it up -- I owned one, treasured it, and wore it out completely. This was before you could find virtually any hat you wanted on ebay! The Indianapolis Indians are about 115 years old, so who they're affiliated with in 2019 is virtually irrelevant. The Cleveland Indians did at one point own the team in the 50s, but the Indianapolis Indians name predated that. The logo looks to be back-to-back capital Is, in the shape of an arrowhead, coupled with some Native American imagery. I 100% agree that the Tulsa Drillers logo is flat out weak. The name of the team is badass, and somehow this wimpy logo represents them. They didn't even make the edges sharp. For an example of the difference sharp edges make, check out the Tucson Toros old T logo. (I had a Toros hat too) The Naturals logo -- not the worst, but definitely not worth writing home about. Artistically, it wasn't done well. Oh well, c'est la vie. The Sky Sox! I always thought this team had a great name, and unfortunately, never produced a hat remotely as cool as the name. When you have Sox in your name, you better represent. Again, I enjoyed your commentary, and total respect to you for actually buying these hats before taking them down on the internet. You're a lifer.
Thank you! I've seen the Cannons hat! Haven't picked it up yet! I need to update this list! I love all the feedback and the insight information you left! Thank you Cashmere Gardener, Major League Hatz
@@TheOfficialPHC Thanx 4 responding, but yeah they used to b back n the day the Bakersfield Dodgers then in the 90's changed to the Bakersfield Blaze & just this last season changed to the Trainrobbers, not to shabby of a hat in my opinion for a minor league logo, I dont know if u may have heard of the San Franciso Jailbirds minor league team but another worth while minor league logo I feel u may want to check out as well, thanx r reading and God bless.
Hey Trav, I've seen the SF Jailbirds! That is a good one! Definitely one I would like to get down the line! Thank you for the suggestion on the Trainrobbers, sounds like an interesting cap! Sergio aka Major League Hatz
