I was just on your website a few days ago looking at what could replace my spectacles as a pair of connected glasses to bike with. These look really good; and being a prescription ready is definitely a plus. Would love to get my hands on a pair of these just to map a few of my experiences to them. Bonus all the more if they can “live” a decent amount of time away from my mobile, but perhaps connect to my watch for some bits. This could be very interesting

Hopefully an easier way of charging would be nice or at least an option too. Hmmm For my Blade I use magnetic usb plug and wire. Just love it and people are just blown away by it. It will be nice to have both sides displaying images instead one side.

I am putting this in that same category of "I'll believe it when it's available commercially"
If you look into this, vuzix has been working on this specific project for some time. There are videos of people at their hq trying out the tech, plus this isn’t just some rinky dink Kickstarter project, this is vuzix we’re talking about, they have a VERY good track record.
Though I haven't tried these I've tried nearly all the other 'smart glasses' out there and have the current Vuzix Blade. However, except for enterprise, there is absolutely no reason to own any of them. They are a solution looking for a problem. Everything is better done with a smart watch if you need such a thing. The fact that you have to wear something on your face all the time renders them all useless as the downside totally out weighs the upside.

@@jl-op4jx Sure, I understand that. However, at the current level of the technology, they have very little useful functionality and a really impractical battery life. I loved my Google Glass and back in the day while Google were supporting them felt they had really cracked it. There were tons of really useful apps and the design was brilliant. But the current crop of devices just don't hack it. Vuzix are terrible with an image stuck in your line of sight and with heavy frames and darkened lenses. Also their firmware/software is very flaky. There are few apps and most are poorly developed. It's gonna be 5 to 10 years before anything decent arrives and we still need the killer app. Why a company don't develop a decent auditory only device like a watered down device from the movie Her, god knows. It's more practical and for most things auditory info is all you need. And where has the development of Google Assistant gone ? It's no cleverer now than it was 5 years ago. Big companies like Google have become lazy cos it's too easy to earn money from their ads.
Assuming this release simply isn't happening. Please confirm. No release info. or updates & all expectations are very legitimately waning. Disappointing.
