Ufen Orum thanks, yea been busy as last year and been broke this year so had no new bits to put on or make a video about. But that might change later on.
Hi mate. I bought these springs and just about to have them put in. BUT I’m seeing a lot of other guys are getting their shocks revalved. As it’s been 2yrs since you made this video, do you still think revalving isn’t necessary?
I personally have never had an issue, when I remove all the weight out of the vehicle the ride becomes stiff but that is just because of the heavy springs. But I ride and drive stock raptors and rangers everyday in my job and when I jump back into mine I don’t really notice any difference… especially not a couple grand difference. But that’s just what I think
@@jacobsgarage5458 thanks you mate for being so informative. Much appreciated. I’m just going to do the front springs for now. Might do the rear later, but will let the front settle first and see how it looks and feels.
awesome video mate. so what do you recomend leveling kit or new springs. what is better for ride quality ? Can you just change the front springs ? and the car looks level ? thanks mate
Andrew Bamber cheers, well there are the two options for leveling the front one is the springs I installed which also help when putting a bullbar on because it holds more weight, but the other is the coil over spacers such as the snake racing ones. To keep factory ride quality go with the spacers but if you are adding more weight I’d go with the springs to keep a better ride and height. I did change just the fronts initially and she sat perfectly level
Hi Jacob amazing and helpful video thank you. If you are kind enough can you confirm if the tyre size 315/70/17 fits after the 1” lift set up like your video?
It’s a 40-50mm lift and I couldn’t tell you because I have stock wheels and tires, my guess is if it is 315/70r17 it’s still around a 33” tire just wider so all you would really need it wider offset rims, so instead of running a pos55 spacing you would run a pos20 or 0 offset but then you run the risk of the tread sticking past the guard
vevohoeyo hey, they are riding great, took a week for them to settle by they ride like factory but the tiniest bit stiffer which will change when I get my bullbar and winch. Also vid for the rears are up
Thanks Jacob how was the ride after was it still soft or you feel the bumps now.I am waiting on my spring and hesitating to do it , thinking it might wreck it but i have put a bar and winch on last week .(predator and Wran winch).
dom bivi I haven’t driven it much yet but I live on a very bumpy corrugated road and it feels pretty much the same, but it also feels like it has less body roll on the road. Yet too see how it will feel with a bullbar and winch though. So far I haven’t really got anything bad too say but it is early days... only fitted them 6hrs ago
Had the courage to buy them king springs for my raptor because of you mate! Cheers
Still waiting for mine. Great work mate. 👌🏻
Thank you mate, you are brave young mechanic
Thank u for sharing yr amazing on the tools bro.
Stephen Griffin thank you, been wrenching on cars since I was 13. Have 3 trades to show for it 😆
top job, well done champion. a lot of hard work
Keep doing this videos. Thank you
Thanks for sharing mate.
Hey mate, great video. Do you have any update videos since?
great work 😬👍
Hey jacob. where do you source the torque specs from for the ranger raptor? I'm struggling to find anything about the torque settings
Great video 🤘🏽
Cool video man. How’s the ride after that install?
Waited for months mate for your comeback! Good video!!

Jacob Merwe mate would like to ask how do you know all the lbs of torque for the screw?
Ufen Orum Google 😆 found a copy of the shop manual for torque specs
sorry for a fool question (i'm no mechanic)
what is the lift or levelling for? does it do any good? i.e. better handling, more comfort ... ?
Awesome job. Do you think the changing the tire size like 305 or 315 70 R 17 ?

What did you use to remove the bottom bolt? And to torque it down? Nice video!
Thanks, mate, great video. Are the KFFR-120H the best fit for what you are planning. I have a bar and winch so looking for solutions.
Adam Mulcahy from what I’ve found it seems to be the best solution because it can handle the weight without sagging

Great video mate! For adding spacers, no coils, do I need to get that lower bolt off too?
Unfortunately you most likely will have too

that bottom, bolt is torqued to like 550NM or something close. good vid though mate.
Rhys Barrett 258ft-lbs is around 350NM, idk about you but I’m not strong enough to do 550nm lol, cheers bud
But I will also double check all bolts in a few
Days and make sure too hang off that bottom bolt
Will make an edit correction
Yes it is correct. 550nm the bottom bolt in the front and 475nm the bottom bolt from the rear suspension
Mate pls help me give good tire tips if i want to lift my raptor 2 inch lift with 35inch tires?
Nice setup man
Thank you.. its slowly getting there piece by piece.
You’re welcome mate. Great rig. I’m planning to get the raptor by next year.
Outdoor Explorer V8 maybe? 😉
I’m on a tight budget mate, maybe soon but now i’m gonna try the raptor. Shout out from the Philippines.
Wot was the before and after ride height??
"..cause Cameras are expensive" I would also spend my spare cash on my Raptor rather than cameras... 🤣👌
Francois van Niekerk damn straight, camera can’t take me camping or off-roading 😂

In which store you can get the KFFR-120 KFRR-121
Autobarn is where I got mine
@@jacobsgarage5458 Thanks! What would be the correct configuration so that the Raptor is level. Forward and backward with the same height.
