Goto Kogaku Single Axis 78 Telescope

This is the Goto Kogaku “Single-Axis” 78mm telescope from about 1952. The optics are superb and it is quite rare as are all the early Goto Kogaku scopes. This one features a unique mount with a singularly beautiful casting. It is completely breathtaking but how well does it work? The elegant off-center structure causes some interesting issues when it comes to using the mount! This scope stands as one of the most unique and delightful telescopes of all time!
