I appreciate that old books are still valid. I much rather pay for new stuff than old stuff again.
Thanks guys for this nice moment with you on a Sunday night, dreaming of this second edition. Lots of news to share with friends!
Hi Francesco, Hi Fria Ligan team. thanks a lot for this interview!
A completely dispassionate French admirer.
Great interview Francesco! You have made my day. So very excited for this new adventure with Free League and can't wait to play the second edition. Anything you need, I will give it my very best! Can't wait to listen now to Riddles In The Dark!
Thank you so much! We hope to have ep 1 up of Riddles in the Dark in about a minth or two :-)
Someone needs to ask if we are getting a monster manual or bestiary. Would be handy to have a book containing the adversaries because it was difficult to keep track of the range, which was spread across all the supplements.
Francesco spacca. Kudos per il suo lavoro, lo amo dai tempi di Kaos! ❤
The respect the devs have for the source material and the fans of the game have for the devs is admirable. Backed at the highest tier.
Thank you for this video.
Love the one ring. So glad to see it continuing. It’s so refreshing a system. I do find it a shame that some gamers from other systems insist on reading the rules and immediately try to make it more like what they are used to. House rules is.a big thing with gaming but so is feel and tone. TOR nails it for me. Great system as is.
I don’t have the tech skill but I would love to see a decent series of adventures showing rules and story as it unfolds. May be a nice way to raise profile a bit.
What a great interview, Thank You so much for the information I love the One Ring and Free League is such a fantastic company should be a great combination!
What about the old character/culture artwork that was commissioned by Cubicle7 (previewed in 2019)? I may be in the minority here, but I really liked the Beornings and Rohan Rider artwork, for instance, and I think the new artists like Mauro Alocci did a really good job then.
Great interview. Must buy book but I hope they didn't simplify the game too much.
I would call it streamlining more that simplifying. This will not be a YZ engine game for example, FL lets Francesco make his own game, but since they share the same philosophy for RPGs they give input which he greatly appreciates.
Hello I have two questions
1- Will you reprint new books with the regions and adventures of the old ones? In my country is quite difficult get copies from the firsts suplements.
2- Will you be planning to expand Adventures in the Middle Earth along with TOR 2E? Will be expecting a Moria Suplement for AiME as well?
Thanks a lot for all the infos, it’s great ! though I didn’t understand something. the cultures that won’t be in the new core manual, they will be converted in the core or will it be a supplement ? Or maybe just an pdf addendum.
Your last two assumptions there are correct. THere will be a pdf as soon as possible, and later there will come a new Adventurers Companion wit ha ll cultures in it. :-)
@@indiaflo No worries :-) Clarifications are good as they don't lead to misunderstandings and unnecessary rumours.
Great to hear news that AiME is still a thing
They would be stupid not to do one. D&D 5e is still selling like crazy. For me AiME is my preferred version of 5E
Yes, but hopefully it's just leftovers of TOR with little attention from the experienced designers. AiME is universally viewed as significantly inferior to TOR for an actual Tolkien setting. However, I am sure that AiME is way better than the shittfest that is 5e, so I am sure that would be great for ppl who want a better version of D&D.
Hopefully all the financial success of AiME will just go towards making TOR even better.
So... how many cool character options will get nerfed by the new rules? How many characters will be rendered ineffective because of changes in how the stats work?
Honestly had Francesco not returned for TOR 2E, I would have not been excited nor bought it. This man is the heart and soul of Middle Earth!
He sure is! THe best designer of RPGs AND boardgames for M-E! He is indeed the master!
Tolkien is.
