If it's not his own custom setup he isnt going to mesh well with the controls. Like if they just go out and buy a HOTAS and Pedals it's not going to work well without many many hours of customizing and setting up. Maybe if he went and used someone else's setup.
@@risingsun9595 Correct. Mover, a F-16, F/A-18 pilot turned UA-camr for example, has always refused to fly against random person on DCS due to his sworn oath to the military about accidentally giving away tactics and doctrines.

My dad is Canadian ex-military after serving 21 years. I just stumbled upon DCS and it's so cool seeing the f18c I got to sit in the cockpit and it looks identical from what I remember. My dad was a aircraft mechanic, worked on T-Birds, Challengers, then F18C/D so this is really cool to see. I'm definitely going to check this game out now. 🇨🇦
He keeps talking about game, this and game that. DCS is certainly playable like a game in low fidelity modules. It really shines with the Hi-Fi modules with fully interactive cockpits and systems. Spend 15 minutes programming GPS coordinates into your UFC for JSOWS or hunting SA-6's With HARMS. Learning about how radar works, like RWS/TWS. Maybe even my favorite thing, GBU-10's from 20k ft.
Definitely why I love the Hornet and JF-17, it takes getting used to, but, man, when you get good at flying any module, it's something else. It almost feels like a tangible accomplishment lol
Yeah most DCS modules are quite old, but due note that Russia still flies quite a few SU-27's. But most stuff in DCS is 80's & 90's tech, if you want anything new you'd have to use mods.
@@StoneCoolds More like early to mid 90s in the F-15's case, as the AIM-120A's IOC was in 1991, however there are some exceptions. Technically it's the same for the Su-27, but due to lack of upgrades in the 90s that means late eighties standard. The exceptions on the eagle sre the weapons, as it can use AIM-120B and AIM-120Cs, wich are early to mid 2000s.
Unfortunately you need declassified info to make a full fidelity module - and for quite a few years every piece of Russian hardware is classified. Meaning all we can get access to is stuff they exported at the end of Cold War (since many of the former operators are now NATO members and at least some of the planes ended up in museum collections).
If any of yall wanna see irl pilots and DCS go watch C.W. lemonie aka "Mover" F-16 and F-18 pilot (flew both airforce and navy) plays a ton of DCS and reacts to aviation movies!
@@shutup4748 not really, at least not the clips of his that they used. LS is still learning a bit on the video part, not really the flying, making GS have better clips as he's just as good but better with video editing
I REALLY hate how the clips from what ever channel these are taken from just have the players spamming flares.. thats gonna lead an IR missile right to you..
Depends on what plane you fly and from where the missile is coming. Us planes shoot flares downward and are best suited for ir missiles coming from the front. Russian planes shoot flares up and are best suited for ir missiles froming from the back. In almost every case a ir missiles would be shot at your back to get a lock in the first place since ir missiles need the signature of the engines to follow them so Russian planes would benefit more from the flares then u.s planes.

I appreciate it brother!
And thanks to @Gamology
I'd like to see him fly and maybe try to fight some players on PvP servers. Would be interesting.

DCS is a not a game, it's a toy. If you want to follow definitions, do that thoroughly.
The Russian Su's and MIG's in DCS are old and out of date models. I'm sure the newer varients of the Su27 have glass panel displays.
They do, but the version on DCS are like the current version of the f15, early 80s , you can see it also is almost fully analog

Yeah he's pretty dope. I discovered him back in March and I love his "spoiling video game" series
I almost want to see a tank commander to some other military person react to mech warrior 5.
I'd love for him to react to Growling SIdewinder's DCS videos
Can't believe they didnt do it again lol
Dude was actually splitting the throttles I realized.
Absolutely the content I've been missing, needed, and didn't know it. 😎👍
those kind of videos are the best advertisement for the game tbh
Man, they once again showing DCS without showing GrowlingSidewinder footage lmao

I like that the 1st video is from Longshot haha arguably one of the best dcs pilots out there..
Congrats to my boy Longshot for having his videos featured on this review!
F/A-18 C. These are the similarities, proceeds to display F-15 cockpit footage.

Growling sidewinder vids should have been shown

did they get clips of my guy operatordrewski on here too? lets go
Hey it's ralfidude!!
I see them snowboards.
so cool to see that you guys are using some of drewskis footage
Falcon BMS next!
