Great video. Thank you for making it! You've certainly motivated me to get out there and challenge myself today. Thank you!
Enjoy!
Thank you
I went out yesterday to check out a soundstage in Sunset Park and i brought my camera (Canon EOS R6)with me. I did you what you said just shot with my canon 50mm and you were right. It wasn't easy but i got some very unexpected and happy results. The exercise paid off. Thanks for the inspiration.
Delighted to be of service! 😊🖖🏻
I agree wholeheartedly. I've signed up for a 3 day festival in a few weeks which has 50 different workshops. This time, rather than choosing workshops that I like (ie Landscapes, macro, film), I've deliberately chosen workshops that I have traditionally had no interest in (pet, food, fine art, portraiture) for the whole weekend. I think the saying is you learn most when you go looking for 'what you don't know you don't know'
Bon chance!
Meanwhile back here in the UK I have been playing at Street Photography.
My equipment of choice, Fuji X-T4 and a Viltrox 75mm f1.2
I say playing as I normally play in the Equestrian Sport arena.
I tried the Fuji X100v but alas the fire were not lit by this beautiful little camera.
So back to the sports and the Viltrox, which I have used in the equestrian arena as well.
Back to the long glass for me
For some this might sound like a failure, but I look upon it as an affirming of what type of photographer I am.
And with that I am happy.
As always thank you for the video and "Be lucky stay safe"
😊🖖🏻
Street photography is so far outside of my comfort zone... but I certainly can appreciate those of YOU who do it so well. Stunning work Hugh! as you roll your eyes I will tell you I am still challenged by my holy trinity from 15mm - 500mm :) and the Canon R5 gives me pretty decent low light performance. Oh and I love KEH !!
All good Robert (I don’t know how to do an eye roll emoji 😉). 🖖🏻
let's not forget for M the startlingly good Zeiss 25mm Biogon 2.8. great value indeed and a new favourite of mine
Enlightening, thanks.
😊🙏🏻
Never tried anything wider than a 16 mm...got Sony's 24 GM used and am loving it, also have the 50 2.5G for travel and it is a great little lens for that purpose. For Fuji I'm still debating as to a fast prime...that Viltrox sure looks interesting and the price is good too...decisions, decisions...
😉🖖🏻
lovely video as always! i usually use a 75mm for street photography but i find some of my best photos are taken on the 24mm. although i do have one thing to pick, i think the video put too much enphesis on gear, and not enough on the advantages of each focal length. using a kit lense is fine as long as people limit them self to one focal length. but still great idea!
😊🖖🏻
I don't doubt your results Hugh, your personality will raise a smile in most people whatever glass you're using. No-one ever mentions this.
Very much appreciated, Marcel. Thank you! 😊🖖🏻
I consider 24mm to be the STANDARD/ NORMAL lens of TODAY. Its the focal length BILLIONS of people take pics with EVERYDAY on there PHONE.
Agreed.
“their” smh…..
