Anyone out there remember the old Rasta/Reggae "record store" on Victory a little north of Bay St. 4:50, right here, a little down to on the left side. ha ha, the good ole days.
He did not go into the hoods , I saw a interview on the hoods out here and their projects were big and it was hella ppl outside , if you’re going to do good videos don’t drive on the outside nigga go in the hoods and pull up! Chop it up with niggas
You need to go thru the projects... Parkhill, Stapleton, Pt Richmond, the Harbor, New and West Brighton those are the hoods! you just skimmed thru the outskirts of stapleton
Everybody keep saying that, I don't control the seasons lol. I know what you mean though, nobody was out in the projects there was more action on the streets. I'll be back in the spring and summer.
If he kept going up jersey st he woulda ran into mad shit know that police tower is still up over there and theres always someone out no matter the weather

J Moore Tru. I never thought of it like that, do u have a feeling of what he may use to record? Cause if he had a camera, obviously he will get robbed or punched 9/10
You could've went to so many other places. York Ave towards Goodhue, down Jersey St and up Stanley Ave to the Castle and the car graveyard, Silverlake, The iconic apartment building on Daniel Low Terrace and Hamilton Avenue. You missed alot but you tried.👍
My boy records at a studio in Stapleton (I think?) Literally next door to the store Eric got murdered (r.i.p) and they have a sign saying to stop shooting heroin on their steps lol smh. Shit is like the walking dead out there with so many crackheads.
If Jersey and NYC has agreed to split the Hudson River in half back in the old days Staten Island would have been part of NJ. I mean Staten looks more like NJ than it does to the other boroughs
There's much worse. That area i would and have walked through parts of. Never at night though. I love the island when it snows.. Nobodys out. Hate to say it but the afternoon sandy was rolling in was so pleasant to drive around.
Ugh,home. I miss it. I live abroad now and I miss snow and good graffiti

Charles, have you considered going to other parts of Brooklyn such as Coney Island or some main roads of South Brooklyn such as Ocean Parkway and Coney Island Avenue.
I've considered tons of areas there lol. It's so big there is so much to record in NYC. It's really hard to know where to start, and it's also very difficult to record there because of traffic, too many people, nowhere to park.
6 років тому+3
I get the struggle with parking especially in the last part of Brooklyn you posted in Northern-Bedstuy. I would suggest you to go to hoods that have a bit less traffic such as Flatbush, western section of Coney Island, Midwood, and Gravsend. Those hoods are pretty close to each other and parking shouldn't be a problem. I would also advise to go on Saturday Mornings, that is the least busiest time of the week for those areas.

living or visting NY is a different perspective /experience for any or everybody. if you live upstate or downstate, doesn't matter. new york is what you make it out too be tbh.
Staten island, that surreal place that you forget is a part of NYC. I have never been there and I have no reason to go there, but I did pass through it coming from MD to drop my son home in BK. I did not want to pay the toll, but I did not want him to get restless taking the long way. SI is weird. As far as I know, it has no attractions, it does not seem like NYC and with the exception of Eric garner, the local news hardly ever mentions SI to the point that they need their own media. Its too large to give up though.
Well he just took u thru the hood where it looks like NYC my guy and shit goes down on those sides he was driving thru but i do feel u i want to gtfo n move back to bk just not back to brownsville
Thebrothaisback what attractions do you want ? There is restaurants everywhere. Boardwalk and beaches. 3 colleges. Golf courses. Museums. Most parks out of the 5 boroughs. You can’t compare to Manhattan bc nothing in the world really compares to the Manhattan.
Chris Iorizzo each borough is know for somthing, so what is SI known for, besides being the forgotten borough? I'm not dissin, I really want to know. I know mobsters make their homes there, but that's about all I know.
Thebrothaisback not sure what u mean know for. So are you relying on the media to tell you ? There is the Staten Island ferry. Staten Island Yankees. Snug Harbor. Richmond town. Home to one of the most influential rap groups Wu Tang.
head amputator I wonder too. Fresh heavy snow makes everything look cleaner til the plows come by and get that yucky black gunk in it no matter where you live.
Now I understand why so many people from Staten Island now enjoy a beautiful life and sunny Arizona.
Love Arizona. However it’s only good for visiting. If you like the quiet senior citizen style life, outside of New York is great
