The walrus part is really sad cause even if he was rescued he is so disfigured that he probably wouldn't be able to ever live a comfortable life. I was made to watch Tusk by my sister, and honestly? It’s really sad and horrifying to see for the first time, especially as an eleven year old. I really feel you with the Harold scene. I honestly think all of the "punishments" in Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark are twisted. Tommy suffocating on Hay, Auggie getting stalked in his own home and dragged into a void under his bed, and Chuck being pursued as the hospital halls change to trap him before getting absorbed into The Pale Lady. They're all horrifying fates to me, and arguably worse than just being outright killed. Especially since we don't know what happens to them when these happen, like whether Tommy's still alive and conscious as a scarecrow, or if Auggie and Chuck are alive trapped in voids that could have nothing in them, or endless torment. We really only can imagine, and that's what makes it worse than being killed to me.

Anyway, these children spent 572 days in an increasingly distorted house that became increasingly dark and unrecognizable to the children. but there is a demonic presence that has the children tortured all the time, it rewinds time when it had killed the children.

How about in black mirror, the black museum episode; the man who is constantly electrocuted and even has a part of his "eSoul" stored and constantly in death pain.
Or the startrek episode where he removed your mouth and nose, so you would feel like suffocating without dying.

Grave encounters catches my eye with their intro, I think inspired from Ghost Adventures, their things are fake but they don't do it obvious, they make it well made that I suggest their whole seasons of watching!

i remember watching scary stories in theatres on a date my freshman year of highschool. and the scarecrow death freaked me out so bad, I’m really emetophobic so I almost had to leave💀 also the death with the sort of marshmallowy lady just absorbing the person was so unnecessarily creepy to me.
Also in middle school my guy friends turned on Tusk at my birthday party because they thought it was hilarious. I started crying LMAO

Not technically a punishment but in Martyrs however you spell it a girl named Lucy is held into a big hamster wheel thing and someone just starts cutting off her skin (expect her face skin) with scissors you’d have to watch the movie to understand why cause I’m not gonna spoil the rest
