Description:
Lithuania is a Schengen Area country, so if you're applying for a short-term visa (up to 90 days), you'll be applying for a Schengen visa.
• Short-Stay Visa (Schengen Visa): For tourism, business, or family visits (up to 90 days).
• Long-Stay Visa (National Visa): For study, work, or residence purposes (more than 90 days).
For a Schengen Visa, you generally need the following documents:
• Visa application form: Completed and signed.
• Passport: Valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended stay, with at least two blank pages.
• Passport-sized photos: Recent, meeting the Schengen visa photo requirements.
• Travel itinerary: Flight reservations or travel plans.
• Accommodation details: Hotel reservations, rental agreements, or invitation letters.
• Proof of financial means: Bank statements, salary slips, or a sponsorship letter.
• Travel insurance: Valid in all Schengen countries with coverage of at least €30,000.
• Visa fee: Typically €80 for adults, with some exemptions or reductions.
For a National Visa, you may need additional documents, such as:
• Proof of enrolment or work contract: For study or work visas.
• Health insurance: Covering your stay in Lithuania.
• Proof of accommodation: For the duration of your stay.
In Pakistan, Hungarian Embassy handles Lithuania’s Visa.
The processing time for a Schengen visa is typically 15 calendar days in Pakistan, but it can take longer during peak seasons or if additional documentation is required. National visas may take longer.
Few Imp Points;
• Apply early: At least 15 days before your intended travel date for a Schengen visa.
• Check specific embassy requirements: Some embassies may require additional documents or steps.
• Ensure your documents are complete: Incomplete applications can result in delays or rejection.
• Visa Application Centre (VAC): Some countries have VACs that process Schengen visas.
