First of all, great job with this one! I’ve noticed that a lot of Fleabag fans watch Killing Eve, also period drama edits do quite well (Pride and prejudice for example), Harry Potter too - if you’re into any of those of course. Good luck, you have the potential!
well I mean yeah, when you think about it, she is today's modern woman, highly successful and rich, but it came with a cost, she still trying to be a good wife to a man who is actually beneath her, almost carried his baby to term, which from the looks of it, she never really wanted, taking care of his creepy son, while still struggling with the death of her mother, an absent father, a sister whom she has internally been competing with ever since she was a child, struggling to make friends because what is required for her to be successful is to be detached and the boss all the time, she lives in a country she can't stand anymore, her family doesn't even know what she does with her life because they couldn't care to ask, and on top of that she is in love with another man who is actually her equal and makes her happy. A
@@musicallychrissy8524 they never really say it on the show, we just assume it because claire is the one that "has her shit together", she has a degree, nice stable job, a husband, etc And she looks out for fleabag, so she gives that older sister vibe But, they never specify who is younger, so there's a possibility that claire is the youngest
I have a feeling that Claire knew when her sister spoke to the audience but never showed it, because she also knew that it would push her away. She can be pissed off by her sister but she truly loves her and they have a bond. It's so moving
Yess! I think that's one of the reasons that why she feels so stressed out around Fleabag, she cares about her and see how she's sad and avoiding deal with things. So she want to help and try to but don't know what she can do and also Fleabag don't let her help, so she have's almost no option besides just whatch her sister going mad and it feels really overwhelming
yeah and the pencil scene when she asked Fleabag what she thought, Fleabag responded to the camera, "it's horrendous". Claire was able to repeat it. Shows their bond right there.
@@stars_who_knows9254 I think that has more to do with Fleabag knowing Claire very well Like on the car scene to the silent retreat, when she was able to finish her sentences

Omg the lawyer scene happened pretty much just like that at one of our family dinners. My father works for a big law firm, so everyone though he WAS a lawyer (including me until I was 14!!) until he casually mentioned that he's an accountant, it was hilarious
@@joesquinn9517 In the scene at their mum’s grave Fleabag says to Claire “you can do it little one”. I’d rather trust the script rather than a Wikipedia page that could be edited by anyone. Plus, wouldn’t it be funny if Claire was younger?
Actually the scene where she said: "Get your hands off my miscarriage" was incredibly sad to me in particular. It reminded me when my sister had a miscarriage and I was out of the country. She called me and just cried and to this day I can't forgive myself for not being there for her.
She is an introvert, but an emotionally unstable one i hate when my friends touch me, unless im shaking their hands , which i barely do... when i go into people's apartment, i dash for the toilet first.. then say Hey from the distance
Honestly going to the toilet first is the best advice for introverts. Not only because of the touching. I always feel weird coming in and just talking, last time I met a boy at his house (date), I asked him to take me to the kitchen to get some water. Now I realize it might've been sort of a mechanism to break the ice and gain some time to analyse the place or him, meanwhile we made small talk. Then we kissed. I hate being touched by friends, but when I first meet someone and there is some chemistry, I'd rather be touched right from the start 'cause things tend to be easier with this physical affection.
don't forget about the phone call about the haircut, when Fleabag talks with the guy helping out Fleabag gives instructions about the guinea pig and Claire says "no don't bring the hamster" and then Fleabag says to also feed the new hamster Stephanie and you can hear a very confused "who's Stephanie?" It cracks me up every time because it's just so chaotic and real This show is amazing Also Claire reminds me so much of my mom it's hilarious
@@KiMi__ But that was the best moment of Claire 'being done'. We're not asking you to include all of them, but leaving by far the best one (or at least Top 3 even in the book of those who prefer others) out is a little bit odd :P

An interesting detail is that even though fleabag is always bold, inquisitive, quick for answers and tries to look confident around people, when she is around Claire she is usually very obedient and looks to be afraid of her sister all the time. As the younger sibling, I can say that this is really spot on
When I watched the whole series for the first time couple weekends ago I HATED her omg.. but the second time I watched her, and the more I see her, I love her omgggg She’s hilarious LOL “I look like a pencil” is the best 😂😂😂😭
It's never too late for a Fleabag edit! I didn't think so at first but Claire is actually both hilarious and relatable. Also one of few characters to actually get a name funnily enough. I bet social distancing during Covid-19 is a dream come true for Claire. Her accent is quite sophisticated even when she curses.
Get your hands off my miscarriage. Totally devastating but still funny. Walks the line so well. Incredible writing and acting all round. It's all done so well it makes you hate Olivia Coleman's character, yet every instinct when you see Olivia Coleman is to love her.
Thank you so much for this edit! I just finished the show and I've been obsessing over the hot priest so much, I forgot about the other characters. This is a breath of fresh air! Now I can move on to living, before I fall back to Fleabag again 😂

Because Claire is brilliant

I like how Claire always looks like she's going to have mental breakdown all the time.
probably because she is lol
She has a breakdown everytime she laughs
